宝石色の湯の魅惑 高湯温泉 ひげの家 Jewel-colored hot springs in Japan

Hello, I’m Taviel. I would like to tell you about my stay at Hige no Ie at Takayu Onsen in Fukushima. [Music] The location is relatively close to the center of Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture, and it takes about 30 to 40 minutes to get there, but it’s quite a mountain. Although there is no direct road, the other side of the mountain is Yonezawa City in Yamagata Prefecture . The mountains around here are hot spring heavens: Tsuchiyu Onsen, Noji Onsen, Shinnoji Onsen, Makugawa Onsen, Washikura Onsen, Yokomuko Onsen, going down to the Urabandai side, Nakanosawa Onsen, going to the Yonezawa side, Ubayu Onsen, Namegawa. It is an area with a high concentration of famous hot springs, including Shirabu Onsen . Today’s accommodation is probably somewhere on this mountain. Farms appear here and there on the roadside , making it a fun feeling. It’s now late November, and there are a lot of apples, and there are only a few buds left. Other seasons include peaches, pears, and strawberries . Hige’s house deviates from this road called Fruit Line and heads toward the mountains. Hige’s House has been my favorite since I first learned about it about 15 years ago, and I’ve visited it many times. It’s a milky- white color with a blue-green tinge that makes you wonder, "Is this a liquefied gemstone?" The hot springs are of the highest quality with the smell of sulfur , and the cuisine is quite elaborate, making it a far cry from the country cuisine of mountain inns . Every time I turn the steering wheel, I feel the satisfaction of having left the world behind , until the smell of sulfur begins to waft in the air, letting me know that my destination is near. Now you no longer have to worry about accidentally expelling the natural gas produced in your body . It’s November now and the road is closed from here on out, but from spring through fall when the snow melts, the Bandai Azuma Skyline is open and you can see views like this . I finally arrived at Takayu Onsen. A hot spring resort with over 400 years of history [Music] Feels like walking into a small Japanese restaurant [Applause] The lobby has a modern Japanese feel. I remember that this chair was made by Hida Sangyo or Kashiwa Mokko, or in any case, it was Hida furniture . I’m sure Yamagata’s Yudo-an has similar furniture, and I think that’s what really determines the sophisticated atmosphere of the inn . I can hear the sounds. Recently, Hige’s House has started to look like a luxury inn, with rooms with open-air baths, but of course I’m interested in that, but this time I chose an 8-tatami Japanese-style room to feel nostalgic about the past. There is a smell of sulfur in the room , but it quickly becomes numb and you don’t notice it. However, it seems that electrical appliances such as televisions only last for about three to six months due to damage to the electrical system. Ah, it’s been years since I met the hot water at Hige’s house. Cloudy white water and the smell of sulfur. Is there any hot water that is more like a hot spring than this? Maybe it’s because of the lighting , but sometimes it looks blue or emerald, making the really white water mysterious. When you submerge yourself in the Yunohana hot water, it is a time of bliss. Not a single hot spring fan will be able to resist this hot spring. The open-air bath is located at the end of the Sonoki passage.Incidentally , in the men’s bath, you have to put on a yukata before going to the open-air bath, but it seems that women can go straight to the open-air bath. The milky white water is rich and smooth to the touch. Yunohana has settled and stirring it with your feet will make it even more cloudy. When you lie down on the edge of a tree, the scent of cypress and sulfur reaches your nostrils with an exquisite distribution, inviting your brain to a sense of sensuality. Most hot springs in the world are built from deep underground by boring, but in the case of Takayu Onsen. As you can see from the mountain stream flowing by the area, hot springs are gushing out from all over the place . At Hige no Ie, this water is directly poured into the bathtub, so the hot water is rich and fresh. I thought I’d cool off on the terrace after taking a bath, but it was cold at this time of year, so I just took a peek. By the way, this is what it looked like when I visited during the warm season. I watched the little birds fly along the mountain stream, and sipped my coffee or beer while watching them. While I was taking a break, a private bath became vacant, so I headed over there. If it’s vacant, you can use it for free. Turn over the tag and go down the stairs to the mountain stream , where you will find a wooden hut that is a changing room. My skin became smooth and smooth, as if it had been sprinkled with powder. One hour before dinner. It gets dark early, isn’t it? And the lights in the distance are Fukushima city. Meals are served at tables in a tatami-floored hall. It’s nice and comfortable for people who have knee pain. Although it is not a private room, the tables are far apart and you can feel the atmosphere of other customers having fun, which is good. The pre-dinner dish was cider, which was apparently made at Azuma Sanroku Brewery. It is said to be made from apples grown in Fukushima City by apple farmers in Fukushima City, Fukushima Island, Fukushima Prefecture, including Yamato Orchard and Katahashi Orchard. It is called Turnip Chrysanthemum Akake, and it is beautiful. The neighboring prefecture, Yamagata, is a prefecture where people often eat chrysanthemums . Hoha Misoyaki is often served in Hida and Okuhida, but this is the first time I’ve tried it with oysters. Three types of grilled mushrooms. The walnuts are dressed with vinegar, but I felt like I wanted to try it directly with salt or soy sauce. There was a bottle of water nearby, and I tried drinking it, and it was really delicious. It’s called new soba tofu, but it’s similar to soba postcards.Kuroge Wagyu beef steak.Swordfish fishball soup.Good night.Good morning. There ‘s probably a secret hot spring inn. Nowadays, there are many secluded hot spring inns with various orientations, so it’s hard to say exactly what they are, but about 15 years ago, it was possible to imagine a certain trend. Deep in the mountains, far away from people. A small, quiet mountain inn that protects a natural hot spring. Hot water is good. Just hot water is fine. Hige no Ie was a forerunner of an inn located in such a secluded hot springs area that even women felt at ease, or rather, wanted to come and visit. The hotel’s lobby, decorated with mountain nightflowers, has been renovated in a modern Japanese style that was starting to become popular, and the food is no longer typical of the mountain inn cuisine, but has become a secret hot spring that makes you feel like you’re looking forward to cooking. It can be said that this is an inn that has made the finest hot springs, which were once reserved only for hot spring bath enthusiasts and spa enthusiasts , available to the general public, and even to women . I woke up in the morning and went to the open-air bath. The hot water is illuminated by the morning sun, giving it a pale glow. I sink my feet down. Reach the bottom . It looks like yunohana has settled there and is covered with fluffy cotton. The privilege of having the first bath. When I stirred the water with my foot, the cloudy water rose to the surface and the water turned greenish. The temperature of the source spring is 48°, and the temperature of the spout of the bathtub is exactly 42°. Is it a coincidence or a miracle created by nature to please humans? A morning bath with no one around. I repeatedly crawl in and lie down on the edge of the tree. The cool air feels good. The turquoise water sways in front of you as you lie down . The fresh air brings the sounds of the river. My consciousness seems to be purified and I can’t think of anything. I just tried to keep in mind the colors I could see from where I was lying .
