【軽自動車ドライブ】冬の南房総１泊２日伊東園ホテルズ南国ホテル 絶景の鋸山
We traveled to Minamiboso, Chiba by Honda N-BOX.
We left from western Saitama, stopped at Umihotaru PA, and headed for the Boso Peninsula.
Umihotaru PA is a parking area on the Tokyo-wan- Aqua-line located in Naka, Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture.
We took a break at Umihotaru and headed to our next destination, a roadside station in Minamiboso.
We passed through Tokyo-Wan-Aqua-Line Expwy.
The Kisarazu Toll Gate is located in Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture
We drove along the Futtsu-Tateyama Road.
We stopped at Roadside Station Tomiyama.
We had lunch at this food court.

We left the roadside station and planned to visit the highlights of the Tateyama area.

This is a retro wooden pier, also known as a location.
We visited Daifuku-ji Temple called Gake Kannon.
Kannon Hall with the main image of the eleven-faced Kannon carved into the cliff.

We passed through the area in front of Tateyama Station.
We visited Tateyama Castle.
Tateyama Castle is located at the top of a small hill in Shiroyama Park.
We stopped by Awa Shrine.
This is an ancient shrine that dates back about 2,700 years and is a prestigious power spot.
We next headed to our hotel in Shirahama, where we would be staying today.
Route 410 continues along the coast.
We arrived at Shirahama area, the southernmost tip of Boso Peninsula.
We have reserved today a room at Hotel Nangoku of Itoen Hotels Group
We arrived at Hotel Nangoku.
The room rate is a reasonable 7,630 yen per person including 2 meals per night with the early-bird plan.

We headed for the buffet dinner after a hot spring bath.
I had a beer.

We enjoyed sashimi and tempura at the buffet.
And after dinner, we went back to our room and went to bed early.
I was up at 5:30 the next morning for an early morning bath.
I went to a spacious hot spring.
I took a leisurely morning walk around the hotel after soaking in the hot spring.
I enjoyed a nice morning walk in the morning sun.
We had a buffet breakfast.
We left Hotel Nangoku.
First, we headed to the flower line to see the rape blossoms.
Rape blossoms were blooming beautifully on the Boso Flower Line.
We planned to stop at the Kameiwa Cave and head for Mt.Nokogiri.
We have passed Route 128.
We visited this much talked about photo spot.

From here we climbed to the parking lot at the top of Mt.Nokogiri.

The Hyakushaku Kannon took six years to carve.
Jigoku-nozoki is a popular tourist attraction, an observatory located 329 meters above sea level.
The statue of the Great Buddha is said to be one of the tallest in Japan at 31 meters.
We had a late lunch at the Big Buddha Square.
We left Mt. Nokogiri.
We arrived at Roadside Station Hotashogakko.

This is the end of our trip, and we are headed home.
It was an enjoyable trip to the highlights of Minamiboso.
We passed through the Kyonan-Hota IC.
