We are Shocked by what this country Offers! (This is CHINA)

we thought that we’d come here today
show you this cultural stuff show you
this religion stuff here in
[Music]
China this is really cool you can see
how big this stadium
[Music]
is KN YouTube and welcome to not
Chongqing this time we are currently in
dazu which is about an hour and a half
outside of Chongqing so we’ve actually
came out here to see this cultural
Festival that’s happening in Dau and
tonight and tomorrow we’re going to be
seeing a whole heap of cool things we’re
actually staying in this like little
village sort of Hotel thing it looks so
beautiful they’ve got cherry blossoms
and the uh the whole vibe of it is
really rustic and really really nice um
but tonight rooftops yeah distinctive
rooftops and everything it’s so lovely
but tonight what we have planned is
we’re going to this cultural event I
believe in a sports stadium and then
tomorrow what we’re actually going to
see is uh 7th Century uh Buddhism
carvings and learning all about Buddhism
and Talus and confu ISM here in China
which is really surprising because you
don’t really hear that much about
religion in China so yeah we thought
that we’d come here today show you this
cultural stuff show you this religion
stuff here in China and sort of see it
from a different perspective so yeah
come along with us today and uh let’s
have fun let’s
[Music]
go so we’ve just arrived to the stadium
behind
us and uh we actually got a police
escort here Believe It or Not we’ve got
our that was so cool that was so cool
right we got our badges here too
everyone’s ing in here so yeah let’s go
in and see this performance should be
good look where we are right now look
how big this stadium is oh my goodness
me wow okay and we’re going to be right
at the center I think somewhere up the
front wow this is cool this is cool did
you expect this no I’m surprised this is
really really cool what a event so I
think we’re going to be up the front
guys this is really cool you can see how
big this stadium is it’s
massive and this is this is built just
in a small city of what they call Dau
which is about an hour 2 hours outside
of Chongqing crazy brand new city I
think this city is like 20 years old or
something gosh Trina you surprise me
every day I have to say all right let’s
see this performance so this is the
front here and where about here and
everyone’s still in the stadium too so
we pretty much have the best seats in
the House guys this is this this is very
cool Okay so we’ve got a box or not a
box but we’ve got goodies here we’ve got
these things I think these like these
light up right oh there we go they light
up that’s cool and we’ve got a rain coat
and some water awesome you can see here
people are already over there all
different groups around the entire
stadium and uh all all the VIP people
are here and we’re one of them we’re
very lucky it’s very good we’re here
with Julia today as well uh we having
fun yeah we’ll link Julia and Alex’s
channel here so they have given us this
translator how cool is this yeah this is
sick so they really think of everything
they’ve given given us this earpiece
which will translate everything that’s
being said up on the screen here so we
got a little translator and then
whatever they’re saying in Chinese we’ll
be able to understand what’s going on
sorry guys I haven’t told Sophia yet but
she’s actually a professional belly
dancer and there she’s actually
performing stage tonight yeah I’m so
excited no I’m serious though that’s how
we got these tickets no yeah you have to
perform
yeah I
wish that would be so cool if you
actually got to so a lot of you might be
wondering what is this it’s essentially
just a event to promote uh tourism here
in Dau and we were invited out because
they’ve seen our videos on YouTube about
China so uh yeah over the next tonight
and tomorrow we’ll sort of be seeing all
that does he has to offer for tourism I
have no idea what they’re saying so I
better put in my uh my earpiece
[Applause]
[Music]
guys this is crazy amazing amazing the
Chinese know how to make a rock
[Music]
[Applause]
[Music]
concert w
you did
[Music]
it what do you think so far I think it’s
really
cool yeah and it’s amazing and even the
we do not understand the language like
it’s so fun yeah right yeah and I feel
like I am performing there like I am a
singer and I’m enjoying my best because
we keep singing along so it feels like
we’re a part of it and see yeah it’s
good how do you feel I feel so good I
think that all the talented artists are
really really good and they have a good
selection of music and really good
entertainment it’s good I want a dance
as well let’s do it like for real
[Music]
okay no I mean on
STS
[Applause]
bye wow what a
performance D amazing job China you
continue
you continue to amaze
[Music]
us okay so we’re now at the beautiful
Lake here oh my gosh I’m so excited so
guess where we’re going guess where
we’re going on one of these boats I’ve
never seen a boat like this in my life I
know right it looks like a boat house
wow yeah so I think we’re going to be
cruising along here wow how cool eh yeah
let’s do it let’s do it woohoo woohoo in
a
hurry you better calm
down we’re all around you just join the
fun if you’re in a hurry okay so just
hopping on the boat now oh this looks
cool
wow nice oh wow this is just the driving
compartment niow wow nice so just this
little section will be driving the whole
boat oh my gosh I’m a bit bit nervous
wow this looks really cool and it’s all
made out of lovely wood as well so
they’ve got all seating areas here
little bits of water too wow that’s nice
I want to go up the top though I think
that’s where the best views are going to
be okay you go first
[Music]
I okay so we’re just coming off the dock
here now
damn they waste no time we’re off and
away it’s one thing I love about the
Chinese very efficient people they don’t
wait around for things they just keep
moving it’s awesome so you can see here
this is such a lovely View sopia’s
getting her Instagram
photos
wow so
lovely you know when I came to China I
sort of just thought oh you know there’s
big cities there’s rural towns but I
didn’t really expect anything like this
this you know this is uh this is pretty
special just cruising along the lake and
it’s really quiet too there’s no other
Mass tourism or big boats or anything
you seem to be the only boat out here
[Music]
[Music]
so actually on this Lake there’s
actually about
108 different islands and just here
behind me is the is quite a famous bird
to the area which is the eagate I
believe I’m saying that right these
birds actually migrate here in the
spring and summer and yeah as you can
see they’re really big in population and
they’re just taking up this one part of
the island here so cool right yeah yeah
like they’re all these white little
birds they sort of look like stalks
almost and uh yeah during the Spring and
Summer they migrate here and call this
place on the lake here their home I
think we’re going to get closer now and
you can see a closeup of what the birds
look like they’re sort of mixed between
like a white stalk and sort of like a
bin Chicken in Australia so you might
also be wondering why do these birds
come here in spring and summer well it’s
actually for breeding uh believe it or
not so you can see in here they have all
their nests up here and these nests are
used for their breeding and they’ll stay
here until their babies are old enough
and then they’ll migrate back to where
they go for wintertime once their babies
are more grown and more Fed so yeah
super interesting to see this you can
see here they have a scarecrow in the
field of kolas to get rid of the birds
so the birds don’t eat it that’s the
first time I’ve actually seen this in
China they use this tactic in the US and
also in Australia too they build like a
man to scare all the birds so you can
see here there’s also this little
village house made out of Old Brick uh
so maybe this is where the Villager
Lives who Farms that kenola I’m not too
sure but yeah super interesting oh
there’s another one over here as well
this one looks more abandoned uh but
yeah these islands are super interesting
like this one here you can see it has
lots of bamboo but then the other Island
where the birds were on it had all
different trees as well and then over
here you can see that there’s all
different trees again so it’s like it’s
super interesting to see the different
ecosystems in each individual Island
yeah 108 Islands in this Lake it’s it’s
super fascinating but no crocodiles yet
we haven’t seen any crocodiles so uh
maybe I might go for a swim later you’re
going to go for a swim later
Sophia you know I don’t know how to swim
yeah she doesn’t know how to swim it’s
right I’ll teach you one day don’t worry
it’ll be
[Music]
okay okay so we just arve this is where
we’re getting lunch popping off the
little house boat here that was such a
fun experience too really really nice so
we’re getting lunch we’re getting lunch
here I think somewhere in this Resort or
something which should be good okay
hopefully they have really nice food I’m
I’m very hungry actually the breakfast
this morning was pretty good but
sometimes some of the Chinese dishes
they’re nice but some are a little bit
too strange for me yeah like too much
too much right for you but for me it’s
like yeah for you it’s good sometimes I
just need my bacon and eggs
[Applause]
[Music]
okay so we just finished lunch up there
so full right we ate so much food so now
we’re going to drive and see the rock
carvings 7th Century budism Rock
carvings uh UNESCO world heritage site
crazy so let’s go there
[Music]
now okay so now we’re here at the dazu
cave information center and as you can
see behind me this building is really
constructed really cool looks like it’s
made out of sand or something right a
pyramid yeah it’s like massive it feels
like a pyramid so we’re going to go
inside and watch about a 50-minute
documentary about these caves and about
the Buddha carvings and how they’re from
the 7th century and all different things
and learn a whole heap of information so
then we can tell you guys all about it
when we go into the cave so yeah let’s
go now look at the entrance it’s huge
yeah crazy he
wow
W started w w
[Music]
all righty so we just learned everything
about the carvings that last experience
was really cool right it was like
immersive it was like 3D but we didn’t
have to wear 3D glasses no it was so
cool I swear China’s technology is like
so Advanced I’ve never seen anything
like that before anyway so right now
we’re going to get uh back in the car
and then drive to the Rock carvings
finally okay so we’re just at the Rock
carvings we’ve got got our little
translator here and our guide is just
giving them out just here to everyone
who needs to speak English which is us
yes Alex has got his on hi am I allowed
to be in your Vlog you are great can I
say something of course go for what
would you like me to say um you’ve been
here before right yeah this is truly
extraordinary something that uh I also
wanted to bring up is we just left a
massive Theater which was I guess 4K and
a dome style I think you guys might have
said something about it already on the
video but I have to tell you I’ve been
here once
before now going to that uh Dome style
of video it really brings us in closer
and shows us really what’s going on here
I wish they would have shown me that
video first before taking me here which
they’ve done today so you’re going to
see this in a whole different way like
you’ve never seen it before yeah awesome
yeah it should be interesting to see how
it is now compared to how we saw it in
the video I think now going to really
say it more of a raw Vibe whereas the
video was more but you see the thing
Jack is about the raw Vibe is that we
don’t really um you know these are
precious things we can’t get too close
to them they don’t let you too close
it’s like it’s like a polar bear you
can’t get too close to so the thing is
is that seeing it is one thing but
actually understanding the story behind
it and that’s what they showed us
visually really it’s really looking
forward to it now awesome let’s go all
right
[Music]
today we have 100,000 people visiting
this place and you might be thinking
guys 100,000 people that’s a lot why
would 100,000 people visit these Rock
carvings today well actually today is
the birthday of guanin now anyone who
doesn’t know guanin uh she’s from the
toist uh Buddhism
Confucian religion you can call it and
she is one of the uh one of the they say
one of the daughters of Buddha I believe
or or or one of the descendants of
Buddha or something like that and her
her her role in uh tosm is very
important for those of you who know a
lot more about me about this let me know
in the comments about uh gu what did I
say her name was
gu yeah you know better than me let me
know in the comments but today is her
birthday uh so yeah that’s why 100,000
people are visiting this site today I
can I can hear people it’s crazy
wow okay so we’ve just came up to the
carvings now this is so much bigger than
what I thought it’s crazy check this out
wa and it just keeps going and going and
going behind us okay sh she was the most
beautiful lady in that dynasty who was
this lady here this lady here and her
job was to feed chickens oh wow yeah and
they made a rock cing out of her cuz
she’s the most beautiful lady in the
dynasty yes wow that’s crazy so pretty I
think you’re the most beautiful lady in
my Dynasty thank you you’re

[Music]

little bit
[Music]

this video is a re-upload 🙂 someone was sending invalid traffic to my channel so I had to delete it. We reported the invalid traffic to YouTube and they are investigating.

  2. Hey Jack, you are normally great at replying to messages, but understand you are busy. These China trip vids seem very different in style and how you normally interact. Are these Chinese sponsored tourism videos?

  3. you guys should come to Shenzhen which is very close to Hong Kong and Macau…

  4. Hi Jack n Sophie!!! The Goddess name is Kuan Yin , she's also known as the Goddess of Mercy !!!!

  5. To fill in a little bit about Budim in China, the golden age of Buddhism was in Tang Dynasty 618-907CE.

  6. Happy you love China, open your eyes to what they are doing to there own people and the world' Young and Dumb.
    .

  7. Actually it’s not “she”, there is no female Buddha. The legend is he was a scary looking person using a more approachable facet to common people and over the years being transformed into a female image. Monks don’t get married hence won’t have daughter legitimately, lol.
