This is a tour of parks famous for hanami in Tokyo.
The rows of cherry trees along both banks of the Sumida River were planted by Yoshimune Tokugawa in the Edo period. The park was developed as Sumida Park as part of the reconstruction project after the Great Kanto Earthquake. So, Sumida Park straddles the Sumida River and spans both Taito and Sumida wards. I had never heard of it before.
