It’s a popular cherry blossom viewing spot, so plan on going 30 minutes before the gates open! I got all fired up and woke up at 6am for the first time in a while (lol). Today, we will transfer to a bus from Kyoto Station. I arrived at Kyoto Station on the JR conventional line!

Wow, the pink cherry blossoms are blooming so exciting! There are approximately 1,000 cherry blossom trees on the grounds, and you can enjoy them for three weeks. This is the cherry blossoms in front of the main gate. Thirty minutes before the gates open, a long line has already formed.

Admission tickets are sold at three reception desks on the grounds. The Reihokan reception was empty, so I highly recommend it! It shines in the morning sun and is very beautiful. Which is the 180-year-old [Daigo Daigo Weeping Cherry Tree]? Ah, that might be it!

It was damaged by Typhoon No. 21 in 2018, and has become a little smaller. However, it still blooms very gracefully. Next, we will go to see the popular [Daikaku Weeping Cherry Blossoms] at [Sanbo-in]. Next, we will go to see the cherry blossoms around [Five-storied Pagoda] and [Kondo].

I highly recommend Daigoji Temple as you can enjoy it for the next two weeks or more🌸. Next, we headed to Oishi Shrine by bus. The Yoshino cherry trees on the approach to the shrine are still in their infancy. The weeping cherry tree in front of the main hall is popular.

The popular item here is Hanako-chan, a Falabella mini horse! She seems to be quite old, but the pink cherry blossoms suit her and she looks cute. that? There’s no mane on the other side, right? Is that what horses are like? It feels like the house is in a fixed position. So cute!

Next, let’s go to Iwaya Temple next door! The cherry blossoms on the approach are beautiful! Even so, I was surprised by the steep slope. I arrived back at Kyoto Station around 12:30. If you are going by bus, please be careful! We will have lunch at [Japanese/Nichi], which is a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station. This is a hidden Japanese restaurant. There are counter seats and a small raised area on the first floor. Looks like there’s a second floor as well.

[Grilled fish set meal] for lunch. For the fish, I chose red fish. A neatly rolled [Dashimaki egg]. delicious! [Red fish] has a deep flavor and is delicious. [Kinpira burdock] also has a strong flavor. It’s a great lunch because you can get a lot of vegetables.

During lunch time, the restaurant seems to be frequented by office workers and regular customers. It’s a wonderful shop that I would like to visit at night next time. Lunch includes coffee or tea. Sweets too! It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I wanted to eat something sweet, so I stopped by a cafe. [Kiwami Saredo French Toast Cafe]. It is located along Shichijo-dori, a 6-minute walk from Kyoto Station. The store is a renovated old folk house, typical of Kyoto. It seems to be a sister store of the popular [saredo cafe] located nearby.

It’s a French toast specialty store, but I can’t really eat that much. [Luxurious strawberry milk cream parfait].

For the photo shoot, they gave me lots of strawberries to decorate (lol). I want to pour condensed milk on it, but it will definitely drip (lol). Even though there’s no condensed milk, the cream and strawberries are delicious! This cream is fluffy, not sweet, but delicious!
