【奥日光】山奥の秘境温泉に行ってみた!⛰♨️/3食も付いてる高級ホテルが最高すぎた!🤗

Hello. Today, I’m in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture. Nikko is a town surrounded by beautiful nature and rich in history. Famous places include the world heritage site Nikko Toshogu Shrine, but I won’t go there today. Today, we will cross various famous spots and go to “Yumoto Onsen” in Oku-Nikko.

Before that, let’s explore the area in front of the station. There is a sign saying that this is Nikko’s “delicious” water. Let’s have a drink. It’s a little cold, but the water is delicious. Trams that operated from 1910 to 1968 are on display. It was a page in Nikko’s history.

Right next to the station is Nikko Kaido. Kaido is a transportation route that has existed since ancient times in Japan and connects land. Nikko Kaido is one of the “Five Highways” that have existed since the Edo period. This road connects approximately 140km from Nihonbashi to Nikko.

Kanaya Hotel is Japan’s first Western-style resort hotel, opened in Nikko in 1873 (Meiji 6). The bread served at breakfast at the hotel was so well received by guests that they started selling it. The bread is said to be made with “Nikko’s delicious water.”

It has plenty of red bean paste and is very delicious. Next, let’s go to the famous store in front of the station. This shop sells original products using Yuba, a specialty of Nikko. Yuba and soy milk are kneaded into the dough and fried until crispy.

The texture is crispy, and the subdued sweetness of the bean paste and the amount of salt are exquisite. Warm hojicha tea brewed with Nikko’s delicious water is available free of charge. This is a great service in winter.

Once you have enjoyed the area in front of the station, hop on the bus and depart for your destination. There are generally only two buses per hour. It’s about 32km from here to the destination, and it takes about an hour and a half.

The best part of riding a bus is moving forward while looking at the city. I came to Irohazaka, which is famous for its autumn leaves. The bus is now going up the mountain.

Irohazaka is divided into two parts. There is “First Irohazaka”, which is only for downhill slopes, and “Second Irohazaka”, which is only for uphill slopes. This ensures safety. Irohazaka is also known as the most beautiful spot for autumn leaves in Nikko. Irohazaka is also famous for its steep slopes and many curves.

Looking at the map, we have passed through many curves. “Daiichi Irohazaka”, which is only for downhill slopes, has a series of steeper curves. The higher you go, the thicker the snow becomes. I went up Irohazaka and arrived at Lake Chuzenji.

Lake Chuzenji, located at the entrance to Oku-Nikko, was a popular summer resort for foreigners from the Meiji period to the early Showa period. We will arrive at our destination in about 35 minutes. After about an hour and a half, we finally arrived. It’s like a snowy world here.

Nikko Yumoto Onsen is known as “Nikko’s inner parlor” and is located on the north shore of Lake Yunoko, located north of Lake Chuzenji. At an altitude of 1481m, the difference in temperature from Tokyo is about 8℃ on average.

Even in summer, the temperature is so cool that the maximum temperature does not exceed 25 degrees Celsius, making it a famous summer resort. In proportion to this, winters become colder. It is a hot spring town with a calm atmosphere and is surrounded by the nature of the mountains.

It is also known as a fall foliage spot. You can enjoy nature during the day and soothe your fatigue at the hot springs at night. If you look at the guide map, there are over 30 hotels and inns. Now, let’s go to the hotel where we’ll be staying today.

It’s in the back here. It’s right in front of Lake Yunoko. It’s close to the bus stop, so it’s convenient. The signboard is also cool. Let’s go right away. It’s a fine building. There are lanterns and it’s full of Japanese flavor. Since it’s New Year’s Day, Kadomatsu are decorated.

It’s a spacious lobby. It looks like you can relax slowly. There is also a fan heater, which I am grateful for! There is a shop next to the front desk. Sweets made with strawberries, a specialty of Tochigi Prefecture. We also have various types of pickles and Nikko’s specialty yuba. Lots of drinks too.

Original sake and local beer are also on sale. There are also many vending machines in front of the shops. Drinks such as water, juice, and coffee. Food such as snacks, bread, and cup noodles. There’s even ice cream. There is also a microwave.

There was also a paid wine bar. A variety of wines and sake are available. There are yukatas near the elevator, so choose one here. Amenities are also available. Razor. hairbrush. shower cap Check-in completed. Let’s go to the room. All guest rooms are located on the second floor or above.

This time’s room is on the second floor. The room is “223”. Let’s look for it. This time I reserved a Japanese-style room. Found it. The bedroom is in the back. There are slippers for use in the hotel in the shoe rack. Wow! It’s a very beautiful room.

It’s so spacious that it’s a waste to be alone. The futon was laid out in advance. The mattress is a little hard, but it feels good. There is a table at the back of the room. You can enjoy the outside scenery from here. There is a tea set on the table. Contains sencha.

There is a hotel guide next to it. There is a refrigerator to the right of the window. The refrigerator is quite large. There is also a freezer. Let’s take a look at the storage to the right of the refrigerator. There is a yukata haori. There is a security box underneath.

There are also towels, toothbrushes, and yukata belts. Next, let’s take a look around the TV. There are electronic clocks, cell phone chargers, electrical outlets, and tissues. There are also two electrical outlets. Thank you very much. Mobile chargers can be used with a variety of devices.

A TV remote control and a lighting remote control are placed in front of the TV. The TV remote control has buttons for YouTube, etc., but I could only watch terrestrial TV. The hotel telephone and notepad are located to the right of the television. Below the TV is a trash can and electric kettle.

There are also two chairs. Let’s take a look at the wash basin at the entrance. It’s new and clean. There is a cup for brushing your teeth and foam soap. Can be used for both face and hand washing. A hair dryer is stored in the drawer. It’s a nice wind.

Finally, let’s take a look at the bathroom and toilet. It’s a unit bath and very clean. Body soap, shampoo, and conditioner are also provided. It’s getting dark, isn’t it? Let’s go have dinner. When I checked in, I was given a dinner ticket and a breakfast ticket. The restaurant is on the first floor.

It’s a spacious and stylish space. Dinner is also buffet style. Let’s take a look. Drinks include various juices, water and oolong tea. Beer, highballs, wine, and sake are also available, but additional charges apply. Coffee and instant tea are also available. Salads, pickles, smoked salmon, etc.

There are also Japanese-style desserts, such as Ohagi and Daigakuimo. We also have vanilla and chocolate soft serve ice cream. I was tired today, so I took a lot. All the dishes were delicious and I ended up eating way too much. I’m full. Next, let’s take a hot spring bath.

The hot spring is characterized by its milky white color. It is said that the source water turns milky white when exposed to air. There is also an open-air bath, so you can enjoy the hot spring while looking at the starry sky.

The hot springs were great. There is a rest area next to the public bath. After the hot spring, you can relax here. There is also a coin laundry here. It can be washed and dried. A free massage chair is also available. Let’s try it. Oh, it’s starting to move. It feels so good!

At night, you can get dandan noodles for free. You will receive this meal ticket when you check in. Same place as dinner. If you give them a meal ticket, they will make it for you on the spot. The dandan noodles seem to change every month.

What you can enjoy this time is “White Sesame Dandan Noodles”. This is an original dan dan noodle made with Hong Kong noodles, which are thin but have a firm texture. I am full. I really enjoyed today. I’m going to bed soon. good night! good morning! It’s a pleasant morning.

After enjoying a leisurely morning at the hot springs, let’s go eat breakfast. Breakfast is also served in the same restaurant, buffet style. Drinks include water, oolong tea, milk, and honey ginger. Cola, ginger ale, orange juice, etc. Coffee and instant tea also available. Staple foods include baked bread and rice.

It’s a little difficult to come, but the hot springs, food, and scenery were great. It’s cold outside after all. This was another great trip. See you on the next trip.
