In this video, I would like to introduce Tashirojima, the cat island in Miyagi Prefecture. For those using a car, the “Kadowaki Arrival Station”, which has free parking, is convenient. A cat was already there to greet us at the ferry ticket office♪ Tickets are available at the vending machine, cash only.

I will purchase a round trip ticket for Tashirojima to Nitoda. Round trip: 2,500 yen for adults, 1,250 yen for children The ferry terminal is on the opposite side of the stairs from the parking lot.

If you are going to Ishinomaki Station by train, it is convenient to board from the Ishinomaki Chuo Terminal, which is a 15-minute walk from Ishinomaki Station. The inside of the ferry is very clean and you can go up the stairs to the deck.

It’s a bit cold in winter, so no one went outside (^^;) The sea was so beautiful that I forgot about the cold ♪ After leaving Kadowaki Terminal, I arrived at Odomari Port in 26 minutes. arrive at. In another 10 minutes, you will arrive at Nitoda Port.

After getting off the ship, we took a commemorative photo in front of “Welcome to Tashirojima” ♪ Cats immediately greeted us at the port ~ ♪ I have a feeling that we will meet many cats ♪ The first place we go is “Kuroneko” Hall”.

It was a Monday, so it was closed, but there were a lot of cats in front of the store♪ They all seemed used to people, and they didn’t run away even if I approached them. This shop usually sells light snacks such as curry and drinks. Everyone is quiet~♪

There’s poop everywhere, so please be careful not to step on it♪ They don’t seem to be doing it now, but there was a cat in front of Abetsu Shoten too♪ Walking on the street. I found a cat! And rushes towards the camera!

Feeding cats is prohibited, but a foreigner I didn’t know was feeding them, so the cats kept coming up to me. We found a group of cats on the way to Manga Island! Manga Island is a camping facility with a cat-shaped lodge designed by manga artists Machiko Satonaka and Tetsuya Chiba.

It seems to be open from late April to late October every year. Located in a location overlooking the ocean, this is a facility where you can enjoy a barbecue, play with cute cats, and enjoy the great outdoors. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any cats in winter.

Along the way, you will see a sign announcing prohibited things on Tashirojima. I came to “Shima no Eki” where there are the most cats. There seems to have been an elementary school here when the population was large. Anyway, there were a lot of cats ♪

Feeding starts from 12:00 noon, so I can play with the cats until then ♪ It’s finally feeding time ♪ When the owner of the island feeds the cats, The chans have arrived one after another ♪ All the tourists can take a photo at once!

The cats are so crowded that you can’t even see the food (lol) Once the cats are full, they drink water and look satisfied ♪ Next it’s time for humans to eat (lol) At the island’s station, all you can eat is food. There were also a lot of cat goods.

I ordered the Kitsune Kodon ♪ There was a “cat shrine” a short walk from the island exit. It is said that long ago on Tashirojima, the quality of fishing was determined by the behavior of cats, and a cat shrine was established there. There were also cats protecting the cat shrine ♪
