This time, I walked around the Akebonobashi area in Shinjuku Ward. Akebonobashi is an area adjacent to Shinjuku Station, with many shopping streets, restaurants, and bars, making it a popular area. There is also the Defense Agency nearby, which is characteristic of the area’s high security. A short walk from Akebonobashi, you can access areas such as Higashi-Shinjuku and Yotsuya. As for gourmet food, Akebonobashi is packed with famous restaurants, especially “Yakiniku Hiromiya” and “Chinese Cuisine Dunhuang,” which are so popular that reservations are filled more than a year in advance. These gourmet spots are one of the attractions of Akebonobashi.
