【宮古島旅行1】 宮古島グルメ&観光3泊4日の旅!春の宮古島グルメと観光を巡る! 1日目の総額はいくら!?
Hi there! We’re at Chubu Centrair International Airport Off to Miyako Island for a 3-night, 4-day trip We’re in our mid-50s Focusing on sightseeing and gourmet Booked two single rooms Spending evenings separately, that’s our travel style Stay tuned for the total cost of Day 1 at the end of the video
Landing in Miyako Island at 2:30 PM, time for a meal Fish lock bowl with miso soup and seaweed for ¥1,078 Heading to the gate after the meal Flying ANA this time Got a deal, round trip for ¥11,430 per person Seat pitch is like this Found a USB port under the seat
Also, ANA Wi-Fi Service was available onboard Miyako Island in 2 hours 42 minutes It’s sunny in Aichi, but cloudy in Miyako Island Wonder if we’ll see the blue sea… ANA’s original beef consomme soup Ahh, warming up… Wow, Miyako Island in sight Arrived at Miyako Airport First time in Miyako Island!
Heard someone behind me saying, “First time in Miyako Island!” 😊 The rental car company is giving us a lift from the airport Fun driving tips on the way to their office Car rental is ¥4,900 with a return in 3 days at 2 PM It’s super cheap because of a ¥2,700 coupon discount
It’s an affordable rental company that uses second-hand cars Heading out for a late lunch. At RuLer’s TACORiCE, Miyako Island branch. Ordered ABC taco rice, tacos, and fries. “Yum, tasty.” “A bit spicy and kicky.” “Loads of meat in here.” Tasty, but I prefer it a bit more tangy and spicy.🙄
Realized later it was because there was no salsa. Wonder if I could’ve asked for some?? It’s so windy! What a view! 😲 Even with clouds, it’s this blue. Imagine how beautiful it’d be on a sunny day… Missed out on the red sweet potato mochi, so we’re heading to a café.
Through fields as far as the eye can see. It’s almost closing time, hope we make it.💦 At the Miyako Sugarcane Tea House. They said takeout drinks are okay. Here, you can press your own sugarcane to make juice. “Do I put this in?” “Yes, start with a bit of force.”
“Now, just lightly support it, no need to push.” “Wow!” “Whoa, amazing!” “Wow!” “Crushed sugarcane coming out the other side.” “Wow, that’s cool.” “lol” “Look, juice is being squeezed out here too.” “These sugarcane stalks were just picked from our field this morning.” “So they’re very juicy.” “Be careful, it might splash at the end.”
“Giggle.” “I’ll leave some wet wipes here for you to use.” “Amazing, really.” “Ohh!” “Sugarcane is in season now, at its sweetest.” “Thank you so much.” “This is the skin of the sugarcane you just pressed.” “It’s okay to touch.” If you’re not into spicy, it’s very easy to eat.
Thanks for the meal! (¥2,320 for two) Heading to Ikema Ohashi Bridge from RuLer’s (about 25 min by car). “Wow, look how beautiful! Look!” “Ah…” “Wow” “Even with clouds, it’s beautiful.” Thought we’d have to give up on seeing the blue sea because of the clouds, but it’s stunning!
Pulling into the parking at Ikema Ohashi Bridge. “Wow, beautiful✨” “Even with clouds, it’s beautiful✨” (repeat) The wind’s strong, causing rough waves. Crossing Ikema Ohashi Bridge to Kaimiru. Came for the red sweet potato mochi. There’s a space to eat. You can see the aqua blue sea.
Sadly, the red sweet potato mochi was sold out. Went up to the observation deck. The wind’s so strong, my hair’s constantly blown back.😖 Lowering the volume because of the wind noise. Let’s go up to the fourth floor. “Oh, so it feels like this.” “It’s quite fibrous.”
“Recently, the leftover sugarcane fiber is reused for denim jeans.” “The straws are also made from sugarcane byproducts.” Blending the squeezed sugarcane with shikuwasa juice. “Amazing.” “A blend of sugarcane and shikuwasa.” “Thank you.” “Make sure to mix it before drinking.” “Tasty.” Why the whispering? 😆 “Delicious!” “Goes really well with the shikuwasa!” “Wow.”
“Here, try some.” “Yeah😳” “Right, it’s good.” “Really good, isn’t it?” Besides drinks, there were intriguing items like warabi mochi, dumplings, and drinkable warabi mochi. Heading to check in at the hotel. Hotel Rising Sun Miyakojima. You can see the sea a bit. Conveniently close to a convenience store and supermarket.
After resting a bit at the hotel, we head out for dinner. About an 8-minute drive from the hotel. Parking is available next to the restaurant. Dining Place Aasaguya. Water is self-service. Sea grapes. We both ordered the Miyako beef steak set meal. Got lucky since it’s Miyako beef; it could’ve been Okinawa beef otherwise.
The set comes with mozuku, jima tofu, zenzai, rice, miso soup, and pickles. You can switch the miso soup to a small soba for an extra charge. The meat was a bit fatty, but the zenzai was delicious. Thanks for the meal! (¥6,450 for two)
Wanted to go to a café after eating, so we looked one up. Taka wanted a decaf (caffeine-free coffee). Is there a place offering decaf at this hour?! Turns out, there was! Humble Kitchen & Standing Bar Michiru There’s parking for two cars. The donuts we wanted were sold out.
It turns into a standing bar at night, but there were seats to eat at. Came for snacks and coffee but ended up ordering curry because it looked delicious! The silver plate, curry, and fried egg looked so appetizing. The stewed curry was yum!😍 Not a spice curry but more of a European style.
A taste everyone loves! (Probably) “Delish😋” “Maybe curry goes in a separate stomach?” “Curry definitely has its own space.” “Yeah yeah yeah” “Yummy” Dessert was Basque cheesecake. Taka chose the shop’s recommended vanilla ice cream on top. The staff were friendly and approachable. They gave us tips on delicious Miyako and Okinawa soba.
Basque cheesecake is usually dense and rich, but this one was rich yet light. Easy to eat and delicious. Taka said the coffee was delicious too. Thanks for the meal! (¥3,200 for two) In the ending, we’ll do a room tour and reveal the total cost for Day 1 of our Miyako Island trip.
Before that, here’s the cost for staying at the Hotel Rising Sun Miyakojima. For two semi-double rooms for one night. Managed to book it cheap thanks to a sale. Now, let’s reveal the total cost for Day 1. Including the flight and accommodation, the cost for Day 1 was…
Be sure to check out the video for Day 2 of our Miyako Island trip. Thank you so much for watching till the end! See you in the next video!
