こうのとりが舞う自然豊かな郷/お世話になっている鞄/一駅一駅 JR山陰線 #1 豊岡駅
Toyooka Station on the JR San’in Line is the central station in Toyooka City in northern Hyogo Prefecture. This is a station building with an arcuate roof that resembles a cloud. It seems that the image is a stork and a willow tree. The current temperature is 6℃.
I was prepared for snow, but it looks like it will be fine. The population of Toyooka City is approximately 77,000. The average number of passengers per day is 1,400. A new station building was completed in 2011 and became the station building for Hashigami Station. There is an elevator, but I prefer to walk.
There are two trains per hour. Half of them are express trains. If you miss one shot, you’re in trouble. There is one ticket vending machine, a Midori ticket vending machine, and a Midori ticket vending machine Plus. The ticket gates are manned and transportation IC cards can be used.
There are vending machines in the waiting room, so you can relax. Toyooka Station is located between Genbudo Station and Kokufu Station. The line color of the San’in Line between Kyoto and Kinosaki Onsen is purple. A normal train has entered the 1st line. This is the up platform heading towards Fukuchiyama, Osaka, and Kyoto.
This is a 113 series train operated by one man. This train is expected to be retired soon. Limited Express Hamakaze. There is no express name here. Is it a parking location display? It might come into play next week.
The platform is a relative type with 1 line and an island type with 1 side and 2 lines. There’s a snowplow here too. The chairs are placed parallel to the platform. (Incorrect) There is a rail along with the new steel frame. There are various colors.
Looks like you need to check the display board for the color. There are also trash cans. The waiting room is heated and feels comfortable. I wonder if it’s called the stork’s bell. I’m going to a good place though. It rang. At the end of Platform 1 is Toyooka Station of the Kyoto
Tango Railway, which changed from the Kitakinki Tango Railway. The abbreviation is Tantetsu. I see. When transferring, please be sure to give a quick response when entering, but do not make a quick response when entering. ICOCA has also spread to JR trains in the northern Kinki region.
But it’s all the way to Kinosaki Onsen Station. Easy to understand. Oh, it’s stopped. It used to be the (Japan National Railways) Miyazu Line. It’s a bright yellow color that will cheer you up. It looks like they may take bicycles, but as a cycle train, the days of operation are limited, so
Be sure to check and make a reservation in advance. The limited express Hamakaze has arrived. There is no platform 2, platform 3 is downhill. Kanikani Hamakaze departs at 12:18. To Hamasaka. There are also trains that turn around, so it’s not just a matter of going up and going down.
There is a garage behind the delivery vehicle. Mirror at the end of the platform. Please subscribe to the channel. A train has arrived that stops at this station. It keeps stopping over there. What will it change? Is it forwarded? Next, the limited express Kinosaki bound for Kyoto.
Although it is an electrified section, it is single track so it will be replaced. Limited Express Kounotori bound for Kinosaki Onsen. Silence returned again. It’s not going to be sunny. It’s cloudy all the time. There is a rotary at the west exit of the station, and there are also rental cars.
Being this close helps when it snows. In conjunction with construction work to convert the station building into a bridge, an east-west passageway was created. Bicycle parking hidden under the aisle. Free. The distance is wide and nice. Elevator where you can ride bicycles. Zentan bus will operate.
You can almost see the steam locomotives of the past. There is a large tank next to the garage. And there’s even a turntable. I want to see it, but I can’t go in at this point. Being the central station in the city, it was a large and functional station.
Now, let’s take a look around. The commercial facility in front of the station is IT. There are convenient stores centered around the supermarket Sato. It is connected to the east-west free passage on the second floor. The roads are aligned east-west and north-south, but the railways and the streets extending from them are diagonal.
The stork seems to be very loved. There is information on storks in front of the police box , and there are 464 storks! It’s peaceful. Parking in front of the station costs up to 800 yen for 24 hours. Tajima’s wish. Electrification and speeding up of the Sanin Main Line.
It’s electrified, but not yet. Until halfway. There was snow in one corner. I think it was about two weeks ago. Snow melting agents are placed on the slope roads. It’s a cold place. I went to a coffee shop for breakfast.
A store with a world map on it. Are you particular about coffee beans? I asked for breakfast. The drink is a winter blend. came. I’ll enjoy having this. This is a colorfully arranged morning. What intrigued me the most was the wiener. Add some Western mustard. Cut the bread diagonally. I was beaten.
The winter blend is extremely thin. It’s not bittersweet. Thank you for your meal. Now, I’m back in front of the station. Daikai-dori Street stretches straight. This street was built when the city was destroyed by the Great Hokutan Earthquake in 1925. There are also storks on the road. Moreover, here too.
Also in the shopping district. This is long. There is a water outlet in the center of the street to melt snow. Toyooka City Hall is on the way. The old government building is in the foreground. It was renovated into a meeting hall, etc.
Behind is the new government building. It was completed in 2014. I guess the mistake is that there is playground equipment in front of the government building. There are no high-rise buildings in the city, only low-rise wooden buildings. The street in Yoidamachi shopping district is called Kaban Street.
Toyooka’s bag making industry, which began with Yanagi Gyori, has become one of the leading production areas in Japan. My favorite bag is this product from Endo Bag Co., Ltd. I usually fold it up, but when I unzip it, it becomes huge.
I like that the luggage compartment can be folded up. It comes in handy in an emergency. Please continue to make all kinds of bags. At the end of the road is Odaigata Shrine. Plum blossoms have begun to bloom. The worship hall and main shrine are built in Kasuga-zukuri style.
The main deity enshrined is Kunitsukuri Onamuchi no Mikoto. It is considered one of the five Tajima shrines. There is also Yanagimiya Shrine, which is said to be dedicated to the god of bags, on the grounds, and a willow festival is held in August. Let’s cross Horikawa Bridge. This is Maruyama River.
The other side is towards Kinosaki Onsen. It’s raining, and the Saby Maruyama River originates from Maruyama, Ikuno-cho, Asago City, and flows through Yabu City and Toyooka City. It’s a big river. A first-class river flowing into the Sea of Japan. It is the second largest river basin in Hyogo Prefecture after the Kako River.
Mountains beyond Aiti. It’s turning white. It feels like something more white is falling. National Route 312. Let’s go to Kounotori no Sato Park. Also on the bridge railing. Also in the fire department. Also at a soba restaurant. This is Kounotori no Sato Park. Greeted by the postbox, I’m going to visit the facility.
It’s quite spacious. Currently here. It’s all the way down the valley from here. Is it this big? There are as many as I have outstretched arms. There used to be a lot of them in Japan, but their numbers have decreased and artificial breeding began in 1965, which continues to this day.
There are some storks in front of me. Unfortunately, in 1971, there were no more storks left in the wild. Looks like a new chick has been born. In the theater room, Prince Akishino’s release of birds was shown. Even though I say once, it was 100 years ago.
It is natural for them to coexist. There are several artificial nest towers spaced apart, but since they live in the same place as humans, consideration must be given to the environment. This is a blue heron. It’s similar. The direct sales store is overflowing with stork goods. I got tochi mochi as a souvenir.
Long time no see. By the way, it seems that Japan is the only place where you can only eat horse chestnuts without the bitter taste. It seems like it takes time and technology. It’s not too sweet and the texture is good. When I bought it, I could hear the dialect. Just listen.
I guess wetlands are important. After all, as an environment. In order for the stork to survive. You can also come for a tour by large bus. You can also come by Zentan bus. Thank you, Stork. Also. Expanding rice fields. It’s a good place. It’s rich in nature. It’s there too.
There are two birds. Let’s keep an eye on it. I’m loved. On the way back, I will cross the Tateno Ohashi Bridge. This is C57-11. huge. It was manufactured in 1933 and ran 2.61 million km on the Sanyo Main Line, San’in Main Line, Kagoshima Main Line, Bantan Line, etc. before being scrapped.
I’m currently resting in a corner of the park. thank you for your hard work. Let’s buy sake as a souvenir. This is Morigaki, a liquor store located on Daikai Street. The one I wanted was Sasazuru. The blue bottle is stylish. This is sake from Izushi in Toyooka City.
By the way, Kimoto uses natural lactic acid for fermentation, so it takes time and effort. Let’s take care of it. It’s quite spicy. Well, let’s go next. Genbudo Station does not accept IC cards, so you will need to buy a ticket. This is the first time for this one station.
There were a number of simple automatic ticket gates, but there were no machines. 190 yen to Genbudo Cave. I bought a ticket for the first time in a while. 190 yen. Until Genbudo Cave. This is the arrival of the first train to turn around.
Although it is an electrified section, the area beyond Kinosaki Onsen is non-electrified, so diesel cars are used. It’s Kiha47. Turn around and head to Kasumi. There is an air conditioner inside the car, but there is also a fan. It works with the red button.
Toyooka was a well-organized city with the city hall and commercial facilities located in the center of the city, and a large street extending from the station. It was a nice city where I could see storks and feel relaxed. So, cheers to Toyooka Station! See you again at the next station.
