吹雪の中、2駆キャンピングカーで極寒車中泊旅へ!【氷点下4泊5日1200km】山形総集編
Subtitles will appear here. Yamagata trip summary Good evening. I’m currently driving on the Metropolitan Expressway and am about to start my journey. It’s mid-March now and I have four days off, so I’m planning to go on a trip around the country for the first time in a month.
This time, on our 16th prefecture trip across the country, we will head to Yamagata Prefecture. I was planning to go but couldn’t go due to timing, but this time I finally decided to go to Yamagata.
I’ve just decided to go to Yamagata, so I don’t have any plans for a trip yet, so I’ll make my decision locally. I think the route would be from here towards Northern Kanto → Fukushima → Yamagata. (Previous car) This will be my first trip to Yamagata in 5 years since Snorlax.
I’m leaving early today, just before 8pm, but I’ll be careful as there are a lot of cars in Tokyo. I passed through Tokyo and entered Kawaguchi City (Saitama), but the traffic was congested. It looks like the traffic will end at the interchange 2km away.
There are a lot of traffic jams in this section, so it takes a really long time to get through Tokyo and Saitama. The key is how to avoid traffic jams in this section and travel efficiently. I entered the Tohoku Expressway and I think things will go smoothly from here.
I am now entering Gunma Prefecture at Tatebayashi IC, but after that I will exit immediately and enter Tochigi. From now on, get off at Tochigi → Fukushima and bypass? I think I was able to enter and go to Yonezawa. I don’t know the prefectural border, but I think it’s probably in Tochigi Prefecture.
When I got to the point where I had 110km left to go, I had just seen Abukuma, so I entered Fukushima. It’s currently 11:10pm, so we’ll be at the goal in just over an hour. Before I knew it, the rain had stopped and the temperature had dropped instead.
From now on, turn left at Fukushima JCT and head towards Yonezawa. The Tohoku Expressway ends here and you will take the next Tohoku Chuo Expressway. Perhaps because I’ve been traveling far a lot, I’ve lost track of expressway toll fees. One thing
I can say is that traveling in a campervan is a good deal if you’re traveling with more than one person. There are now 10km left on the Tohoku Chuo Expressway. When I went through a long tunnel and looked to the side, I was surprised to see snow all over.
According to the thermometer on the road, it was 1℃ around here. I brought studless tires and chains, so I’m fully equipped! It seemed like the road ahead was closed, so I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to take this exit.We soon arrived at our destination, Michi-no-Eki Yonezawa.
I think I’ll take a nap there today and go sightseeing around Yonezawa tomorrow. This time I drove about 400km non-stop and finally arrived at Yonezawa. Arrival We arrived at the roadside station safely, changed our clothes, and settled down.
Since I came without a plan, I am currently looking for sightseeing spots in Yonezawa to visit tomorrow. The great thing about campers is that you can do anything even without a plan. It looks like it’s going to snow tomorrow in Yonezawa, so I think we’ll be able to see some snowy scenery.
After getting ready, U-chan also goes to bed. good night! ! Good morning on the second day . It’s 9 o’clock now, the room temperature is 19.1℃, and the humidity is 39%. There are quite a few small pieces of snow falling outside.
When the two woke up and saw the snow, they seemed happy. When they went outside, it was snowing more than they expected. Get Yonezawa beef and other ingredients for dinner at Roadside Station Yonezawa. It’s snowing like this. I’m leaving now. I spent about 7,000 yen worth of shopping at a roadside station.I
Often use roadside stations when traveling, so I spent that much money. I’m going to head to Uesugi Shrine, which is 4.5km away. I didn’t think it would snow. I thought it might rain a little. The Kanto region has been warm and snow-free lately, so I was hesitant when
I arrived at Uesugi Shrine, where I had brought my winter gear . I wonder if they parked in the same parking lot for Snorlax? When we arrived, it was time to brush our teeth.
When we actually went outside, it was snowing so much that it looked like it would be difficult to take pictures. U-chan was wearing a pink raincoat and was ready. The shrine was surrounded by a moat. I wonder if the snow is close to sleet? It looks a bit like rain!
I wonder if the snow is close to sleet? It looks a bit like rain! I’m at this age where I want to go to places where there’s snow. I’m going to get a stamp. It’s a very fantastic view. U-chan is so cute and surprised that it’s snowing.
I didn’t expect it to snow this much in mid-March. Returned to the camper. It’s really cold so I’m going to turn on the FF heater. I dry my raincoats and jackets in a multi-room with FF air. There are more snow particles and more snow than before. Depart from Uesugi Shrine.
I went to Uesugi Shrine even though it was snowing more than I expected. Uesugi Kenshin was a Sengoku warlord who was active in Echigo Province (Niigata Prefecture), but after his death, his territory was transferred from Echigo to Aizu to Yonezawa and is now enshrined at the Uesugi Shrine mentioned earlier.
We are heading towards Toko no Sake Brewery, which is close to Uesugi Shrine. It is only about 1.5 km from Uesugi Shrine. arrival. I’m going to go to the sake brewery right away. This is a sake museum located inside the “Toko Sake Brewery” museum, one of the largest sake brewing museums in Tohoku
. I received permission to take pictures. Things from that time are on display. This is the process until sake is made. The process is long and time consuming. A large “storage jar” sake bottle from the early Meiji period. It seems difficult to transfer the sake after adding it.
The large one is used for making moromi. You can see the difference in rice polishing ratio. The polishing ratio of white rice is around 91%, and sake rice is polished to a ratio of 35 to 75%. There are things that give you a sense of the times.
The size of the container varies depending on the process. It’s a branch of Miwa Myojin Omiwa Shrine, the god of sake making. It ‘s fun because I don’t often get the chance to visit places like this. The work after putting it in a tub of this size seems to be difficult.
I drink sake all the time, so I have to learn how to make it once in a while. When I looked at it again, it was really big. That’s enough for 3 dads! Meiji era kitchen. Let’s try the drinkable “prepared water” . Yes,
I climb up from a place like a ladder next to the water and mix it. Go to the shop next door . Here you can sample Toko sake. U-chan is in charge of Gacha Gacha. Mama, who is in charge of the tasting, is so jealous of me (Papa’s feelings)
That she has chosen carefully (?) for today’s evening drink. (Staff) It’s amazing! It’s perfect! (Staff) Their sake is made with less water, so it’s a little strong. For tonight’s drink, I’m leaving everything to mama’s taste. (Staff) It might be easier to drink if you’re left-handed.
In the past, Mr. Drinkbei was called “left-handed” because he always held a bottle in his left hand. I also decided to try “Lefty”. The easiest to drink. I’m so jealous of this role (second time) U-chan, I’m torn between being a “snow goddess” who also gets snacks
And being a “left-handed person.” I successfully purchased sake! The snow particles are bigger than before! Here are the drinks I bought. Probably the most expensive sake I’ve ever purchased! Toko Junmai Daiginjo Bag Hanging Snow Goddess (720ml): 5,940 yen Polished rice 35% This sake is made using bag hanging and a non-squeezing method.
At 5,940 yen, it’s a super high-quality sake in our house. Also, jerky and salami. Jerky is made from Toko’s sake lees. thank you! Served with Japanese sake. Wow! ! It’s gorgeous! ! Immediately put it in the refrigerator.
Watching Japanese sake being made at a sake brewery before purchasing it was a new way to buy! After this, I will go to eat lunch. I bought some good sake, Yonezawa beef, so I’ll save some money for lunch. I’m going to a popular restaurant called “Shina Soba Kumabun” in Yonezawa.
There’s so much water flowing! (Road) Snow removal pipe? It was the first time I saw a fountain. I’ll have to find a parking spot first… I parked safely! I knew it was delicious before I ate it. I am very satisfied with my first Yonezawa ramen. I went to “Shina Soba Kumabun”.
It had a light taste, was very delicious, and had a large amount of noodles. After this, I will go to the hot springs a little early. Head to “Akayu Onsen Yukotto”. After the hot springs, I’m thinking of running to Tsuruoka City on the Sea of Japan side. Arrive
Safely and go to the hot springs. Today’s cup after taking a bath is the all-star juice “Yamagata Representative”. For adults, it’s all-star juice, and for U-chan, it’s stable milk. The hot spring facility was very beautiful. The price is 300 yen for adults, which is also very cheap.
However, the hot spring facility is not a very large area. You can get amenities at the reception, but it’s safer to bring your own. It is currently 4:30 pm, but I will drive for 2 hours and 30 minutes to Tsuruoka City.
I came to Yamagata in the previous car, but Tsuruoka City was so far away that I gave up on it. It snowed more than expected, and the world outside was pure white. First time snowing in Tohoku. Just impressed. Yamagata road starts from here. Today is the section (regulation) for winter tires.
It’s a section where winter tires are worn, but it’s not that heavy. Tsuruoka City is a little far away and doesn’t seem to get that much snow. The snow around here is amazing! I thought there wouldn’t be many beyond Sagae. The amount of snow here is so thick that I was surprised!
Arrived at Tsuruoka City . Arrived at destination safely. “It’s been a long time.” (Yamagata) After coming here (Yamagata), I might have seen a camper for the first time! There was a supermarket right in front of me, so I bought some and went home in the car.
I plan to act early and leave early tomorrow morning. U-chan is in the back, and U-chan’s world is in full swing… This is the “Yonezawa Beef” that I took the initiative to buy. Yonezawa beef tendon. I bought a lot of things at the roadside station Yonezawa.
I also bought “Urui”, a specialty of Yamagata. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa♪ It’s a stable U-chan world. I turn on the max fan to ventilate it. I’m done cutting it today. What does Urui taste like? Boil the water quickly. It has no taste. It’s crunchy and looks like a green onion.
Since we will be using a microwave oven, we will use the Potaden as an internal power source. These are the “Umaitare” and Yu seasonings that I bought today. This is something I bought at the roadside station Yonezawa. Purchased this as well. Careful ingredients and exquisite taste “Yakiniku sauce”
Super super after a long time “Teppanyaki frying pan” We use the “delicious sauce” mentioned earlier in a delicious way. Yonezawa garlic is grilled with Yonezawa beef. U-chan, today’s meat is delicious. There are two side dishes, Yonezawa beef tendon and sesame tofu, and the main dish is Yonezawa beef.
I’m going to eat yakiniku while grilling it today, so I’ll use a Max fan to ventilate the room. Add the beef tallow and fry the garlic first. And we will add Yonezawa beef! ! Cheers! Grilling meat in a griddle frying pan makes it delicious and quick.
U-chan, how about some meat? delicious! (It was actually rice.) Even though it’s called yakiniku, it’s just a little bit. But this is just about right. Yonezawa beef is grilled with a nice sound. The Yakiniku sauce is also delicious! This beef tendon is also delicious!
It would have been nice to have a little more garlic. This garlic was even more delicious than I expected! U-chan is also eating vegetables herself today. However, U-chan seemed to find it a bit bitter, so it was time for dessert after the meal. Adults enter a kind of dessert time. (Sake)
This is the outer box. The bottle is chilled in the refrigerator. Today’s sake “Toko Junmai Daiginjo Fukurotsuri Snow Goddess” mama tasted this at a historic sake brewery and found that it was the best, so she bought it!
I don’t think I’ll be able to buy such high-quality sake in the future, so I’m going to drink it carefully.Does this require a bottle opener? I often use a bottle opener that I bought at Uonuma no Sato (Niigata). Cheers to see if mama did a good job (tasting)! Yeah. delicious!
It has a nice texture, is not slightly effervescent, and has a sweet taste (I’m not sure if you really understand this) .On the other hand, it’s a Japanese sake with a lingering aftertaste. It’s smooth and easy to drink, and anyone
Can drink it as a left-handed drink. If you don’t normally drink sake at all, you’re left-handed.On the other hand, if you only drink a little bit of sake, this Toko Fukurodsuri is super delicious! It tastes kind of strange. As the store clerk said, it feels “transparent”.
For people like us who drink a little Japanese sake, it’s really delicious! This is “jerky” made from Toko’s sake lees. This is also delicious! A taste that goes well with Japanese sake! It will be perfect if we get some good sashimi tomorrow! mama has ice time, papa has a little computer time.
Each time in a camper. [Sad news] Papa’s bed was vandalized. It is said to be a capsule hotel. A slumber party that starts in the rear bed even though you have never stayed overnight ♪ Sleepover ♪ I’m going to sleep now! 3rd day 7:46am Room temperature 16.8℃ Humidity 51%
I had turned on the FF heater at night, so the humidity felt lower and drier. Make your morning coffee. U-chan’s breakfast is “chocolate chip bread” and his morning coffee is exceptional. Papa is on a diet, so he skips breakfast. Good luck with your diet! I’ll take it♪
The two of us will be listening intently to Papa’s passionate diet theory, so we’ll get ready and head there. I left. First of all, I’m going to “Minato Market”. After shopping there, we will go to the aquarium, which U-chan is looking forward to.
We will go to Kamo Aquarium in Tsuruoka City, a place famous for jellyfish. I would like to go to the market → aquarium → five-storied pagoda (Mt. Haguro). If I can ride at night, I’m thinking of going back to the Sagae/Tendo area.
Since the Tsuruoka area is far away, I can only go there on rare occasions, so I will go there. And we’ll be arriving in a little while. It’s a market, but they also sell sashimi. Is it bigger than you expected? The parking lot also seems spacious. There was a similar seafood market nearby.
I bought sashimi at Minato Market and Sakata Seafood Market ! ! The local rockfish was made into sashimi on the spot. It was relatively large, but when it comes to sashimi it gets smaller. After squid and sashimi of “Umadura”, a local fish that I have never eaten before
, I went to another market “Sakata Seafood Market” and bought true puffer fish, tiger puffer fish, and red puffer fish, and today I only bought true puffer fish. I wanted to eat tiger blowfish, but it seems like I couldn’t get it today. All the sashimi I bought is stored in the refrigerator.
Head to Kamo Aquarium. “Minato Market” seems to be mainly a place to eat. “Sakata Seafood Market” right next door had more sashimi! Matsubara is on the side. I could even see the Sea of Japan for a moment. There’s the ocean ahead, so it probably serves as a windbreak.
There was also a place in Kyushu called Niji no Matsubara. Although it is a little far from the coast, the wind is strong here as well. You can see the Sea of Japan from here. A lot of sand has reached the road. There are many inns around this area.
If it’s sunny, the scenery will be beautiful. The wind is strong today and the waves are likely to be high. After about 500m, you will arrive at the aquarium. I made it into the parking lot safely! It’s windy and cold. . . U-chan is fine! Children are truly children of the wind.
I got in safely. It seems that there is a name for it in Shonai City (Yamagata Prefecture). It’s huge! This goldfish! A very large octopus that you can never catch by scooping goldfish . The suction cup is also big! U-chan is curious about crabs even though she says she’s scared of them. The
Fish named Konpeito is cute. Go to the main jellyfish corner. It is a type of jellyfish and is said to be the highest quality edible jellyfish. For mama, it’s like a swimming “ice cream” How do jellyfish glow? U-chan also dashes into the huge jellyfish tank! Try the lottery. 4th prize,
Which is difficult to get . Ah! It’s small… It’s windy outside. It’s cold so I took shelter inside the building. Lunch will be served at a restaurant that serves lunch within the hotel . Here, I unexpectedly found “Tora Fugu” and got excited! I can’t stop using my chopsticks when I
Eat “Tora Fugu” for the first time. Sweaty smiles and applause. I received a take-out coffee from the restaurant I went to earlier. Departing from Kamo Aquarium. The cranetarium and Yuu Jellyfish Zone were fantastic. At the attached restaurant, there was “Tora Fugu” that I couldn’t buy today.
It was a bit pricey, but it was delicious so I’m glad it was! After this, I would like to go to the National Treasure Mt. Haguro Five-storied Pagoda. It’s about 30km away from here, but I think I’ll arrive at 2pm.
The scenery has changed completely from yesterday, and there is no snow in the world. It feels like this area is surrounded by mountains. There is a large torii gate in front of you. We will soon arrive at the parking lot. It suddenly started snowing.
Park at the Bunka Memorial Hall and walk to the five-storied pagoda. Arrived safely. The parking lot on the other side was closed due to snow. Pass through the Zuishinmon gate, the entrance to the sacred area, and head to the oldest five-storied pagoda in Tohoku.
Oku no Hosomichi This is the long stone staircase where Matsuo Basho visited . It’s not a big staircase, but there are many small steps. From here on, you will be walking on snow. I should have made him wear boots. It’s slippery so go slowly.
The red bridge that spans the Hara River, “Harakawa Shinkyo Bridge,” and the view in the background is “Suga Falls.” It is said that people in the past would purify their bodies in the Hara River before visiting the shrine. Walk through cedar trees and snowy roads.
And finally, the oldest pagoda in Tohoku, the National Treasure Mt. Haguro Five-storied Pagoda, is truly stunningly beautiful. We will walk carefully on the way back to the 1000-year-old large tree “Jisugi” . A little closer to “Suga Falls”. On the way home, the sound of conch shells is spreading.
I will go to the shrine office to get a stamp. I went to the five-storied pagoda of Mt. Haguro. Along the way, we ended up walking on snow, so it would have been better to wear rain boots.
It’s a mysterious place and I’m glad I was able to go to a place I’ve always wanted to go to. I’ll be running at night again today, so I’ll head to the hot springs first. If I can do some shopping, I will go shopping. Arrival at Yamabushi Onsen Yupokani
We arrived at the hot spring safely. Today, papa will also eat ice cream after taking a bath. Coffee, milk, ice cream, time surrounded by my favorite things It’s now around 5pm since I came back from the hot springs, but I’m thinking of going to the supermarket before heading out.
I want to go to Yamadera tomorrow, so after shopping I will return to Sagae. I’ll buy dinner for two days at the big Max Value. The purchase was completed successfully.Max Value, which is open 24 hours a day, is large and has a good selection!
I bought a local sweet called “milk cake” at the supermarket. U-chan was enchanted by the beautiful sunset, and the sky was as blue as a picture, so beautiful. I have now returned to Sagae. I’m about to get off the highway. When I came to Yamagata, I realized…
It’s a nice place to travel, where you won’t pass by a camper at all, but it’s strange that there aren’t any. The hot springs are cheap, the food is delicious, and there are many roadside stations,
So it feels like there’s a lot to choose from when traveling, but on this trip, we didn’t pass each other. Get off the highway after 1km and then take the lower road to your destination. After arriving at our destination , U-chan fell asleep while we were cleaning up.
I found Tsuyahime sugar rice from Yamagata Prefecture, so I bought it. Since you will be cooking, make sure there is plenty of ventilation. It’s great that you bought two days’ worth of cut vegetables, but you don’t know which ones you’ll use today.
Before you know it, you’re using all the ingredients from Yamagata Prefecture. Today, I’m going to make a simple and delicious vegetable stir-fry.I’m going to add some garlic, which I forgot about. The sauce I bought at the roadside station Yonezawa was really delicious, so I’m going to use it for the vegetable stir-fry.
This delicious aroma alone will make you want to enjoy your meal and drink. The microwave oven was operated by Potaden again today. I was curious about this and bought some radium hot spring eggs at the roadside station Yonezawa. The sashimi I bought this time
Didn’t have the tiger puffer fish I was aiming for, such as horsetail, squid, rockfish, and egg, but I also got true blowfish from Shonai. Once you transfer the sashimi you bought to a plate, today’s meal is complete. I think I’ll just have the blowfish on a separate plate.
The lineup includes Tsuyahime and natto, corn tempura, potato salad, warm egg sashimi , stir-fried vegetables, and true blowfish.Toast to everyone for a hard day today. U-chan wakes up feeling like she has more food to eat than she expected, and she
Still looks sleepy. Challenge rockfish! It was delicious, but because it was fresh, it had a crunchy texture.Eating meals and drinks are the happiest times during a trip in a camper. The true puffer fish was also delicious, unlike the tiger puffer fish.
The trip to Yamagata is kind of a half-way point, so it’s early. It’s time for sake again today. We will continue to eat “Toko” from yesterday. Cheers again with sake. Sake and sashimi…consistent deliciousness. U-chan moves to the secret base and drinks it down because it’s
So delicious… The blowfish was even more delicious than I expected [This time’s topic] Do you like to drink sake when you drink it? Chibi Chibi? I’m waiting for your comments! U-chan, it’s the long-awaited dessert time! You said you don’t eat cake, right? So, I’m going to eat the jelly next to it.The
Food that’s mine is mine. How do I eat it in this container? Don’t you want to drink coffee or tea? mama has already set her own tea, so if you’d like, would you like to have just this? ? Reason for wanting to share the same things
: I want her to gain weight gradually, so I don’t need mama.I wonder what’s wrong with whipped cream and cream. My feelings for U-chan and my feelings for mama are the exact opposite. We’re all crowded together in a small space. , purr time. Greeting new arrivals is becoming a regular tradition.
There are so many of us that it’s hard to tell where they’re from. Tomorrow’s early! good night! Day 4 It’s now 8:08am and the room temperature is 17.2℃ and the humidity is 45%. Although it was a little dry due to the FF heater, I was able to sleep comfortably.
The current battery level is 87% and can be charged by solar at 6.1A. Even if you use electricity at night, it will be charged as soon as the sun sets in the morning, which is a good thing. This morning starts with the U-chans lining up.
While the bread is being baked, papa is preparing drinks. Drinking a hot drink in the morning calms your stomach and mood. This morning we will have bread from the bakery! delicious. We will drive about 20km to Rishakuji Temple, also known as Yamadera Temple.
Today is Monday, a weekday, so I headed there expecting it to be surprisingly empty. The weather is very nice today, and the mountains can be seen beautifully. We will arrive with about 1km remaining. I went sightseeing at Yamadera on my previous trip to Yamagata, but I didn’t have much time to do so…
I couldn’t climb all the way to the top, so I think I’ll be able to get revenge for that this time. The parking lot was set up in a place near Yamadera where a camper van could be parked.
The road seemed to be narrow if I went too far into the back, so I chose a parking lot near the front. Cheap at 300 yen (24 hours) on weekdays! I was able to park safely in the parking lot, so I headed towards the stairs of the temple.
I feel like I’ve climbed around here before. No, I’m going to go up from the other side or from Hie Shrine. From here, there are stairs… I guess it was like climbing, walking, and then climbing again. There was a paid reception desk before going to Rishakuji Temple, right?
We visited Hie Shrine and received a goshuin stamp. There is a statue at Risshakuji Temple, which is famous for the place where Matsuo Basho visited and composed haiku. The famous “Chikara Konnyaku”! There is a fee to go to the mountain temple beyond this point, so pay the pilgrimage fee at the reception.
U-chan, there are more than 1000 stairs from here on. Today, U-chan is different from usual and is climbing more and more stairs. Just after climbing the mountain, visit Ubado. Stone steps in the middle of nature lead to the top of the mountain.
There are many stone pagodas and stone monuments lined up around the stone steps. It’s almost there! ! It’s almost there, finally. I say, “I probably climbed 103 steps,” but in reality I’ve climbed more steps.I hand my jacket over to my dad, gather myself up, and move on.
After passing through the magnificent Niomon Gate, I was finally halfway to Okunoin Temple. Wow, the view is pretty amazing even from here! How many U-chans have climbed this far? ? Climb further to the top and the view from here to Godaido is very beautiful and magnificent.
After leaving Godaido, we headed to the next temple, Okunoin. Rocky area for training: Nowadays, only people who are practicing are not allowed to go to that rocky area. I wonder how many stairs I climbed. Through this trip, I witnessed the growth of my children.
I am now able to aim for the top of the mountain on my own. After climbing these stairs, we finally arrived at our goal, Okunoin Temple. I finally managed to climb the 1000 steps. Apparently it’s closed during the winter. I also visited Okunoin. There is a three-storied pagoda inside the three-storied
Small pagoda of Risshokuji Temple . Found the postman! I’ve come this far for collection and delivery. It is said that the bones of the deceased are kept in the stone pagodas and other rock caves on the rocky mountain. I made it back to the entrance safely.
I was thankful that U-chan was doing well from beginning to end today and I didn’t have to hold her. Climbing down with equipment and everyone’s jackets is now complete. U-chan, let’s get down from here and have some ice cream as a reward!
I was a little tired, so I took a lunch break first. Since I came to Yamagata, I ordered the famous imoni. U-chan was hooked on the ball konnyaku. Drink apple juice from Yamagata Prefecture and enjoy Yamagata to the fullest. Additional ball konnyaku has arrived. My child U-chan doesn’t like mustard, so
Maybe he was a hamster in a previous life? papa is a set of imoni and udon. mama ordered the imoni set meal. It was my first time making imoni and it was very delicious. The ice cream after a day of work is special. It’s
Mid-March on this day. My nose hurt from walking through the cedar trees while suffering from hay fever.I thought I’d ring the bell one last time and go home.I just went to Risshakuji Temple.
I was able to go to the top of the mountain that I couldn’t go to last time, and U-chan was also happy to climb the mountain. After getting off the train, I went to a restaurant and tried Yamagata’s local dish, imoni.
After this, I will drive for about an hour and head to Ginzan Onsen. As we entered Obanazawa, it started to snow all over. A completely different scenery opens up than before. After about 3km, you will arrive at Ginzan Onsen. There’s still a lot of snow around here.
You can clearly see that this area is a heavy snowfall area. Park your car at Taisho Romankan and take the bus to Ginzan Onsen. The bus was just coming, so I bought a ticket and got on. Just a short walk from the arrival bus stop. Arrived at Ginzan Onsen Town.
Although it was a weekday, there were more people than I expected. Hot springs are flowing. There is still some thick snow left. At the end of the vermilion bridge… ` `Shirogane no Taki” I looked for a day trip hot spring, but I couldn’t find any. (Mid-March)
Since I came to Ginzan Onsen, I thought I’d at least take a footbath. . . The footbath was so warm that even U-chan was comfortable with it. (I can’t go to the hot springs for a day trip) What should I do? Let’s look for a day trip hot spring nearby.
Parking is a problem if you have a camper, but it’s a good place for people staying overnight. Also, when I came in the evening, many things were sold out or closed. I’ll take the bus home too! The sunset and snow scenery are beautiful. I’m heading home to my moving home.
I arrived late and couldn’t eat the popular curry bread. Ginzan Onsen’s day trip hot springs have not yet resumed operations. I’m heading to the day trip hot spring “Hanagasa no Yu” nearby. I also reserved a private room with a family bath.
The total cost is just under 3,000 yen and includes a private room for 2 hours. I’m running a little late, so I can’t spend the entire two hours, but I’m still grateful. Even if 2 hours is not possible, I have plenty of time, so I will drive slowly and safely.
This beautiful snowy landscape continues. U-chan seems like she wants to put on her rain boots and jump in. The mountains that are visible ahead are beautiful. After about 500m, you will arrive at the hot spring. I can’t find the entrance because of the snow wall ! Parking lot surrounded by snow!
I’m going to the private bath! The hot springs are spacious and the rooms seem like you can relax. U-chan is also very excited. Today’s glass of milk after bathing is milk. I went to the private bath for 2 hours, but it actually took just over an hour.
The room and bath were both clean and private. The cost performance was also good, totaling around 2800 yen (2 hours) for 2 adults and 1 child! It’s about 15 minutes by car from Ginzan Onsen, so it’s highly recommended. Today we will return to Yonezawa from here and sleep in the car.
As I was running, a beautiful night view spread out in front of me. As a result, I decided to drive about 80km and return to Yonezawa. After driving about 80km, I returned to Yonezawa City. It’s windy again today, so I’ll be careful when driving. Arrival at Yonezawa
We arrived safely, changed our clothes, and were ready to go! Since the humidity is only 28%, I turn on a humidifier. Hot pot today! Finished with the pot! A small cassette stove is useful. Today it’s a hot pot similar to shabu-shabu. I didn’t encounter any campers on this trip.
I hardly saw any vancon cars such as Hiace. Isn’t Yamagata popular for camping trips? Personally, I love it. Today’s evening drink starts with “Yamagata Beer”. It’s time for a toast. Good luck! ♪ U-chan eats “Daigaku Imo” which is like a snack.
The trip to Yamagata was hectic, but I’m glad it was a very fulfilling trip. At first, when mama found Kamo Aquarium and set the navigation, papa was really far away, so she was surprised when she looked at the navigation.
I was able to go to Yamadera today as well, but I think the first day was the most fulfilling. On the first day, Uesugi Shrine was covered in snow and was beautiful. I didn’t expect it to rain that much.
After that, I went to a sake brewery in Toko, and then went to Yukotto in Akayu Onsen, which was beautiful and cheap. Basically all the hot springs in Yamagata are cheap. Ginzan Onsen was popular even on weekdays, but the hot springs were not open for day trips.
I thought it would be more fun to stay overnight than sightseeing. Although I couldn’t go to the hot springs for a day trip, I was glad to see a different view of the silver mine. I’m going to have some Japanese sake with the jerky I received at Toko Sake Brewery the other day.
The deliciousness of the Japanese sake is consistently delicious today as well. Jerky looks like bacon! U-chan is amazing, right? If you love snacks with alcohol, how about ventilating the same place where it was snowing and cold two days ago, how about some jerky? delicious! !
My only regret is that I forgot to buy Yamagata wine…I should have bought it. I said I was full and ate the zosui to finish off.The rest of the zosui was for tomorrow’s lunch.I put the zosui in an eye wrap and put it in the fridge for
U-chan’s snack time. Share the gummies with mama. It seems to be sour, but mama didn’t find it that sour. Fruit is my favorite dessert after a meal because it leaves my mouth feeling refreshed. Brush your teeth thoroughly and get ready for bed.
I’ll be running a lot tomorrow, so I’ll get a good night’s sleep. good night. 5th day 8:27am Room temperature 21.4℃ and humidity 53%. Did you get a lot of sleep? ? Yes, I was dreaming about Harry Potter! I’m planning to go home instead of sightseeing today. Papa is still sleeping in the futon.
I’m getting ready in the morning while watching the WBC semi-finals. I’m going to use the toaster to bake a pizza this morning as well. The toaster is for inside the car, so the size is a little small. By the way, this is how I watch baseball now.
I wanted to watch it on a bigger screen, so I decided to watch it on a monitor. The toaster made breakfast in the car a breeze, and I had a great time on this trip. During the 4-night, 5-day trip, the portable power supply had 60% remaining.
From now on, I plan to return home, covering 370km in about 5 hours. It’s just before 11am, but I feel like I can keep going at the same pace. From here, we will first go back to Fukushima and then take the Tohoku Expressway up to the Tokyo side.
I have just arrived in Fukushima! Fukushima is relatively close to Yonezawa. After this, I think I’ll change to the Tohoku Expressway and head towards Tokyo towards Tochigi. Fukushima is surprisingly long, and it’s quite windy. I am now in Tochigi! This time I traveled to Yamagata for 5 days and 4 nights.
It snowed quite a bit on the first day, so we were able to enjoy the snowy scenery. This trip covered a lot of distance, and I was able to go to Tsuruoka and go to Yamagata on the Sea of Japan side for the first time, and the
Next day I was able to go to Yamadera and Ginzan Onsen, so I was able to fully enjoy my trip. There were many wonderful places, so I also recommend traveling to Tohoku and Yamagata prefectures! That’s all for this trip.
My next trip to conquer the country has already been decided, so I’m going to enjoy it as well! Thank you until the end! We hope to see you again next time!
