【埼玉観光】川越から始まる埼玉1泊2日の旅③(2日目/最終回)吉見百穴は吉見二百穴だった⛏️&給食歴史館とグリコピア見学📝【埼玉旅行】【大人の社会科見学】Vol.81 [MULTI SUB/4K]

Good morning! This is E-Ma. This is the second day of my 1 night and 2 day trip to Saitama. It’s morning in Kawagoe, Little Edo. I finished breakfast at the hotel. I came to [Kumano Shrine]. It feels great to visit the shrine in the morning (´ー`). I went to visit.

Now let’s walk around the grounds. “Stroke the snake.” It is said that if you stroke the white snake statue while making a wish, you will receive good fortune. “Try your luck ring toss.” After praying at Kayu Inari Shrine, throw three rings at the person you want to try your luck at.

It seems like you’ll be lucky if you get even one of them… That’s probably why I caught a cold early in the year (;´・ω・). “Musubi no Niwa”. Here are the steps to follow. I decided to do it because I was told that if I visited, Yatagarasu-sama would say something to me (´ー`).

It was a fun shrine that felt like a theme park, with a foot massage road like this on the approach (*’▽’). Start sightseeing today! The weather is as good as yesterday, making it a perfect day for driving (´ー`). 30 minutes by car from Kawagoe. I came to Yoshimi Town. [Yoshimi Hyakana].

Entrance fee: 300 yen for junior high school students and above, 200 yen for elementary school students Yoshimi Hyakana is a group of side tombs built at the end of the Kofun period and designated as a national historic site in 1922.

Many holes can be seen, but the number of horizontal holes that can be confirmed currently is 219. This is the “underground munitions factory ruins.” We produced parts for fighter aircraft at the end of the Pacific War.

It is said that a munitions factory was built in the Yoshimi Hyakana area, which is a suitable location for excavation. Many holes in the rock surface. It’s a strange sight, isn’t it? Descriptions from the Edo period mention a hole, but at the time it was unknown what this hole was.

This is after the full excavation survey in 1898. At academic conferences, there was a debate between the “Korobokkur residence theory” and the “mound theory.” It seems that they have settled on the theory that it was a horizontal hole tomb built during the Kofun period during the Taisho period.

There is a side hole where you can go inside and take a look, so I went inside. This is inside the grave. I felt that it was not a place to stay for a long time (;´・ω・). “Light moss outbreak area”.

Hikarigoke lives in the mountains north of Chubu, so it is said that it is very rare to find it growing naturally in the Kanto Plain. which one? Gokaho is a Saitama famous confectionery. It is a sweet made by mixing sticky rice and kinako. It tasted like a soft kinako stick (´ー`).

Did you see the sign just now? “The widest river in Japan.” The Arakawa River, which flows between Yoshimi Town and Konosu City, is 2,537 meters wide. It is said to be the widest river in Japan.

Normally, when you come to the bank, you can see the river right there, but you can’t see it (・o・). Let’s go for a drive. There is no river… A house in the river? There are private houses and fields.

I thought I had overlooked the “widest river marker in Japan” on the Konosu City side. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism defines the distance between the embankments on both banks, including the riverbed, as the “river width.”

This place where I am running now is still in the middle of the river width. And this is the end point. After crossing the widest river in Japan, we headed to [Kuraichi]. This is a famous restaurant for “Kawahaba Udon.” It’s decorated with lots of signs. Kawahaba white udon noodles 1045 yen.

It smells like clams (´ー`). Super wide noodles (゚Д゚). Kawahaba miso stew udon 1045 yen. It’s not only wide but also long (゚Д゚). My stomach is full. From here, it’s time for an adult social studies tour! (゚∀゚). [School Lunch History Museum] located in the Kitamoto Lunch Center. Admission is free.

“The birthplace of school lunches.” This is a replica of the monument at Daitōji Temple in Tsuruoka Town, Yamagata Prefecture. School lunches were provided by the elementary school located within Daitoji Temple in 1889. It is said that the program began with the provision of free lunches to children from impoverished families.

School lunches were temporarily discontinued during World War II. During and after the war, many of the people became malnourished. It greatly influenced the development of children. School lunches were resumed in 1945 following a government notification. “My first school lunch.” I guess this was a treat for children in poverty.

Postwar school lunch starts here. Did soft noodles appear around here in 1965? In 1975, things gradually became more luxurious (*’▽’). Do triangular milk cartons still exist? Is the school lunch buffet in 1989? (゚Д゚). I looked around and said, “This reminds me of nostalgic!” (*’▽’).

It’s strange that so little is known about such a spectacular facility. I wish there was a restaurant where you could not only see exhibitions but also have school lunches. It might become more popular (´ー`). Click here for your next social studies tour! [Glicopia East].

This is a facility where you can tour the factory of “Glico,” which is famous for Pocky. Advance reservations are required for factory tours. Cute Glico wagon. Videos were not allowed inside the facility, so only photos will be taken.

In 1930, Glico Caramel vending machines were so great that you could even watch a movie (゚∀゚). “Museum Zone” Caramel bonus items are on display. Take a commemorative photo in front of the Glico mark (*’▽’). We toured the production line for Pocky and Pretz.

We also received a sample of scallop-flavored pretz and a souvenir of salad pretz (´ー`). This is why I can’t stop touring the factory (゚∀゚). There was a great assortment of Glico products at the shop, so I bought some (´ー`). Dusk is approaching. Finally, I think I’ll go shopping. [Bunmeido Saitama Aozora Kobo].

Bunmido’s CM character Cancan Bear will welcome you (´ー`). This is enough for us to cut off the castella for ourselves (*’▽’). “3 o’clock snack Anpan” I wanted to buy this (*’▽’). The slightly sweet dough with a castella-like taste was very delicious (*´ω`).

On my trip to Saitama, the weather was so clear that I could see Mt. Fuji in the distance both on my way there and back. We hope you had fun with us! I hope this video is of some help to you.
