🚅 여긴 꼭 가보세요! 국내 최고의 기차 여행 코스 BEST 8 | 📸 대중교통 국내 여행 | 트레킹 | 8 Best Train Travel Courses in Korea

Hello? Today, while traveling by train, I will introduce you to some good travel destinations. Please note that the places we are introducing today are not absolute rankings and are recommended based on personal experience. The first place we will introduce is ‘Donghae Station’. ‘Chuam’ Beach is located a little away from Donghae Station.

Of course the beach is beautiful, but to the left of the beach There is a wonderful hidden scenery. This is ‘Chuam Chotdaebawi Rock’. Anyone can see that it looks like a candlestick, right? 🙂 This place is also famous for the sunrise over the East Sea.

There is ‘Neungpadae’ at the bottom of Chotdaebawi Rock. The strange rocks create a spectacular view, as if you were on an alien planet. To the left of ‘Neungpadae’ is the ‘Chuam’ Suspension Bridge. It is a beautiful suspension bridge that you cross while looking down on the clear East Sea.

When talking about ‘Donghae City’, the place that cannot be missed is ‘Dutasan Mountain’. In particular, when it comes to ‘Dutasan Mountain’, ‘Beteul Rock’ is a representative scenic view. It is surrounded by steep cliffs that look as if they were carved by the Creator.

It is a secret place among unexplored places that will leave you speechless as soon as you see it. Past ‘Battle Rock’ is ‘Maitreya Rock’. The profile is really the same as ‘Maitreya Buddha’, right? Another secret area of ‘Dutasan’ is the ‘skyscraper’.

The majestic cliffs, reminiscent of a forest of tall buildings in the city, overwhelm the eye. There are many strange rocks on ‘Dutasan’. This rock is called ‘Gorilla Rock’ The profile looks so similar that it looks like a statue, right? There are many wonderful waterfalls in ‘Dutasan’, the representative one being ‘Yongchu Falls’.

It’s a twin waterfall like this, and the water doesn’t dry up even in the middle of winter. Looks really cool, right? The downstream of ‘Dutasan Mountain’ is the famous ‘Mureung Valley’. ‘Mureung Valley’ where immortals are said to have played This place has been loved by wandering travelers since ancient times.

‘Donghae Station’ is recommended as a place where you can enjoy the beautiful sea and mountains together. The second station we recommend is ‘Mukho Station’. In terms of location, it is one stop away from Donghae Station. The biggest advantage of ‘Mukho Station’ is that most attractions can be reached on foot from the station.

First of all, there is ‘Mukho Lighthouse’. If you look down from here, you can see the cool East Sea at a glance. There is ‘Dojebigol Sky Valley’ right below the lighthouse. It has become a very famous attraction now, right? Originally, this place had many cemeteries. When it rains, I see blue ghostly lights

There is a story that it was called ‘Dojaebigol’. ‘Nongoldam-gil’ leads directly from where Sky Valley is located. It is a hillside town with many beautiful murals, cute shops, and cafes. It’s especially nice when it snows. If you wander through the alleys, you will be able to create your own favorite store 🙂

The road is complicated, so it might be a little confusing if you go there for the first time. If you head down, you can easily go out to the sea. If you come down ‘Nongoldam-gil’, the sea appears right away. There is ‘Haerang Observatory’ on the sea.

There are many observatories in the East Sea, but ‘Haerang Observatory’ is the largest among them. It goes quite deep into the sea. Don’t miss the photo spots under the ‘Dojaebigol’ observatory. If you go a little to the left of ‘Haerang Observatory’, you will find ‘Black Rock’ and ‘Octopus Statue’.

‘Black Rock’ is said to be Jeongdongjin in Namdaemun, Seoul. There are many raw fish restaurants and pensions around here. When talking about ‘Mukho Station’, you cannot leave out ‘Mukho Port’. There is also a high observatory at ‘Mukho Port’, so be sure to go up there.

From here, you can see the blue East Sea and You can even see ‘Nongoldam Village’ very well. There are many raw fish restaurants and restaurants in ‘Mukho Port’, so it is perfect to eat here. ‘Mukho Fish Market’ is large in size, so it’s fun to look around.

On the way to ‘Mukho Station’, there is a pretty village along the hill. It is called ‘Starlight Village’ It reminds me of the fairy tale in The Little Prince. The view of ‘Mukho Port’ and the East Sea from here is full of emotion.

‘Mukho Station’ has the East Sea, a port, and a pretty village right next to the station. I recommend it as it is a very convenient place for train travel. The third station we recommend is ‘Pohang Station’.

It is very far from Seoul and the metropolitan area, so it is burdensome to travel by car. In this case, it is very good to come to KTX. The first place I would recommend is ‘My Computation’. ‘Naeyeonsan’ is famous for its 12 waterfall valley.

There are literally twelve waterfalls along a gentle hiking trail. This will be the best and most comfortable course for those who love waterfalls. However, if you go up the side road for a while, you will come to the ‘Salt River Observatory’. I highly recommend going up there at least once.

The magnificent cliff called ‘Salt River’ literally leaves you speechless. Moreover, the circular aerial deck road is dizzying. You can even see the East Sea in the distance! Among the twelve waterfalls, the most beautiful waterfall in my opinion was ‘Gwaneum Waterfall’. It looks like an unrealistic set, like an alien planet.

If you cross the cloud bridge above ‘Gwaneum Waterfall’, you will find another unexplored view, ‘Yeonsan Waterfall’. The waterfall is much higher than what you see in the video. It’s truly a secret place. If you move from ‘Naeyeonsan Mountain’ towards the city, you will find ‘Cheongha Gongjin Market’.

It is a famous filming location for the drama ‘Seaside Village Cha Cha Cha’. Although it is a very small market, fans still flock to it. Personally, if you come to ‘Pohang’, I recommend trekking on the east coast. The starting point is the ‘Yeonorang Seonyeo’ theme park.

The Dulle-gil walking around Homi Peninsula can be said to be the longest sea deck road in Korea, with a total length of 25km. From Course 2 ‘Seonbau-gil’, unexplored scenes continue. You will never be bored with the spectacular scenery and special geological environment of the East Coast. Course 3 is called ‘Guryongso-gil’.

There are some hiking courses mixed in. It is probably the closest trail to the sea in the country. This is ‘Guryongso’, and it is the place I personally liked the most. Course 4 is called ‘Homi-gil’. This road leads to ‘Homigot’ and is a wonderful walk along the cliff.

Course 4 leads to ‘Homigot’ where the ‘Hand of Coexistence’ is located. If you want to walk all 4 trails, it would be best to consider it as a one-day course. The end of a trip to Pohang is always ‘Jukdo Market’

‘Jukdo Market’, which is famous throughout the country, is famous for its variety of seafood and delicious restaurants. I also recommend the special sashimi that is unique to this place. In addition to the places introduced today, Pohang has many things to see in the city center.

I will also look into other places next time and introduce them in a video. The fourth station we recommend is ‘Mokpo Station’. There are many things to see in Mokpo, but there is a recommended travel course that involves walking along the beach along the ‘Seohaerang-gil’. In particular, ‘Seohaerang-gil’ course 18

Is famous as a trekking course that crosses modern and contemporary times. The starting point is ‘Lovers’ Street’, and a beautiful walking path continues along the sea. If you walk a bit, you will see an amazing view. This is ‘Gatbawi’ I am amazed every time I see the two

Helmet-shaped rocks that were created naturally over 100 million years. Next to ‘Gatbawi’ is the Mokpo Museum Complex. There are seven museums gathered together, making it easy to find and visit places of interest. Each museum is uniquely organized according to its theme. Wouldn’t it be good educationally to do it with children?

This is ‘Samhakdo Park’ There is also a ‘President Kim Dae-jung’ memorial hall nearby. It’s a great place for a walk ‘Mokpo Port’ is right next to ‘Samhakdo Park’. There is a fish market so large that the saying ‘Mokpo is a port’ comes to life. There is also a famous barley rice alley here.

After passing through the barley rice alley, you will find the ‘Modern History Story Park’. If you look down from here, you can see downtown Mokpo at a glance. It shows a truly wonderful scenery along with the islands in the Dadohae Sea. There is also a marine cable car.

This is the ‘Modern History and Culture Street’. As Mokpo is a port city, buildings related to modern and contemporary history are well preserved. This street is home to the beautiful ‘Gyeongdong Cathedral’ and the Modern and Contemporary Culture Museum. The street itself is like a museum. This building is the old Japanese consulate.

It is also famous as a filming location for the drama ‘Hotel Del Luna’. Although it is a trace of painful history, it is now well used as a museum. Behind the consulate, an old bomb shelter still remains. Inside the bomb shelter, you can feel the pain of our ancestors at that time.

Sculptures are installed If you go up behind the consulate building, you can hear the story of ‘General Yi Sun-sin’. There is ‘Yudalsan Mountain’ Park where ‘Nojeokbong Peak’ is located. There is even a saying that the view from the ‘Yudalsan’ observatory is the real view of Mokpo.

You can see the true nature of the port city of Mokpo. This is ‘Yudal Mountain Lodge’ I’m using it as a cafe on the side of the mountain. There is a secret cafe space downstairs. ‘Yudal Mountain Trail’ continues from ‘Yudal Mountain Lodge’.

As it is a southern region, you can see a lot of subtropical plants everywhere. There are many photo spots throughout the trail. This is a reservoir from the Japanese colonial period. Now it has become a pretty pond. This is ‘Yudal Mountain Sunset’ It is a very famous place for sunset.

Right below here is ‘Yudal Beach’ and the Sky Walk. ‘Yudal Beach’ is currently being restored. The sunset seen from here is truly spectacular. You can see ‘Gohado’ very well across the way. Across the street from Mokpo Station is ‘Youth Street’.

There were many famous bakeries and restaurants, so it was a perfect end to the trip. ‘Mokpo Station’ offers modern and contemporary cultural experiences. This train station is recommended for those who like restaurants. The fifth station we recommend is ‘Yeongwol Station’.

It is also called ‘the most beautiful station in the country’ as it is built with octagonal tiles. There is the famous ‘Daseulgi Street’ right in front of the station. There is a ‘Yeongwol 5-day Market’ behind Daseulgi Street. On the riverbank with a beautiful river in the background

You can see a romantic country market. There is a ‘Radio Star Museum’ across the river. It was the setting for the movie of the same name. The sets and props from that time are well-equipped, bringing back nostalgia to movie fans. In particular, ‘Cheongnok Coffee Shop’ is still open in downtown Yeongwol.

This is ‘Yeongwolbu Government Office’. The two large ginkgo trees inside are famous photo spots in the fall. But there is a really big ginkgo tree here. This is the ‘Hasong-ri’ ginkgo tree. It is a 1,200-year-old ginkgo tree and is said to be the oldest in Asia.

This is the most famous attraction in ‘Yeongwol’. This is ‘Cheongnyeongpo’ ‘Cheongnyeongpo’ is the place of exile for ‘Danjong’ during the Joseon Dynasty and is a natural prison that can only be entered by boat. When you enter ‘Cheongnyeongpo’, a dense pine forest welcomes you.

Although the forest is beautiful, it is a place filled with sad memories of ‘Danjong’. On the one hand, I feel solemn There is a pine tree bowing at ‘Danjong Eoga’ where ‘Danjong’ is said to have stayed. The interior is also reproduced.

In the middle of ‘Cheongnyeongpo’, there is a large pine tree called ‘Gwaneumsong’. It was named this because it was said that King Danjong was seen sitting here crying. There is Yeongwol Tourist Center across from ‘Cheongnyeongpo’. It is a very modern and well-equipped place. There are various facilities inside,

And you can get free travel-related brochures for various regions. The food court is also good. There are also cafes, especially the rooftop cafe with a great view. This place is called ‘Seondol’. Isn’t the naturally occurring huge cracked rock as if the Creator cut it with a knife? It almost makes me think

This is ‘Jangneung’ where the tomb of ‘Danjong’ is located. It is a place steeped in the sad history of ‘discontinuation of the species,’ but the fall foliage is spectacular. ‘Jangneung’ is unusually located on a high hill. The view from here is also very nice.

‘Yeongwol West Market’ is small in size, but it has everything you need. In particular, there is a menu that you must try when you come here. These are ‘buckwheat pancakes’ and ‘tadpole noodles’. If you want to enjoy a simple but unique meal, we recommend ending your trip at ‘Yeongwol West Market’.

The sixth recommended station is the station closest to the sea. This is the famous ‘Jeongdongjin Station’ Now you can get there from Seoul in about two hours by KTX train. In particular, ‘Jeongdongjin Station’ has a train platform.

It is so close to the sea that it is no exaggeration to say that it is the sea. If you walk along ‘Gangneung Baugil’ from ‘Jeongdongjin Station’, it will lead to Hourglass Park. As a famous sunrise spot, there are many photo spots.

There is also a huge hourglass that runs out of sand after a year. If you walk towards ‘Sun Cruise Hotel’, which is the ‘ship on the mountain’ directly visible from ‘Jeongdongjin Station’ Another attraction appears. This is ‘Jeongdong-Simgok Badabuchae-gil’. The approximately 3km coast itself is a natural monument.

There is a very good deck path where you can comfortably walk along the sea. Originally, this was a military area and could not be entered, but now it is open. In particular, this section has a spectacular view of coastal cliffs and the blue East Sea.

The entire section can be said to be a photo spot. This wonderful rock is called ‘Helmet Rock’ and I was surprised at how much it resembled the helmet of a great general. There is also a ‘six-legged tiger’ right in front of Helm Rock.

If you walk along the ‘Sea Fan Road’, you can see snowy mountains in the distance. The scenery is so spectacular that you might wonder if this is Korea. This rock is called ‘Fan Rock’, and the fan shape is very visible, right? ‘Sea Fan Road’ ends at ‘Simgok Port’

‘Simgok Port’ is a very small port. A small, pretty red lighthouse and a clear and quiet small port. It’s an incredibly beautiful place After ‘Simgok Port’, ‘Heonhwa-ro’ continues. It is called the most beautiful coastal road in Korea. Good for walking too

Walking along ‘Heonhwa-ro’ along the beautiful coast, I feel like my heart is being healed. If you walk along ‘Heonhwa-ro’, you will come across ‘Hapgunggol’. I will skip the detailed explanation 🙂 This is ‘Geumjin Port’ and it has recently become famous with a new hotel.

‘Geumjin Beach’ is famous for its wide white sand and clean sea. It’s a great place to walk with the snowy mountains in the distance in the background. ‘Jeongdongjin Station’ is a recommended station as there are many things to see around the station. The seventh station we recommend is ‘Gokseong Station’.

‘Gokseong Train Village’ is right next to ‘Gokseong Station’. A steam locomotive is in operation here. The interior looks modern like this. A nostalgic concession cart is also in operation. Steam locomotives run slowly. I especially recommend going in spring. It’s so nice to run along the flower path along the beautiful ‘Seomjingang River’

The steam locomotive stops at ‘Gajeong Station’, which is now closed. There is a ‘Seomjin River’ suspension bridge here. There is also a camping site across the street. ‘Gokseong Train Village’ is a very large park. It’s so spacious that there’s even a rail bike inside. There is also an amusement park like this.

A rose festival is held every year in May. The size of the Rose Park is amazing. There is ‘Ttukbang Market’ next to the train village. A pretty market opens along the river. There are mainly pretty handicrafts. To the left of ‘Gokseong Station’ is ‘Gokseong Yeonghwa-ro’.

The streets are decorated with the theme of nostalgic movies. The theater was turned into a cafe, and there were also pretty cafes and restaurants, so it was nice to take a break. ‘Gurye Station’ is a short distance away from ‘Gokseong Station’. ‘Gurye District’ is famous for Seomjingang River. This is ‘Toad Bridge’

If you walk along the ‘Seomjingang River’, you will arrive at a famous temple on top of a cliff. This is ‘Saseongam’ in Gurye. It is one of the temples in the country famous for its beautiful scenery. It’s amazing how a temple was built on a cliff like this.

There are many things to see inside ‘Saseongam’. Since temples were built by digging out of cliffs and rocks, there are many buildings attached to cliffs like this. Maybe that’s why it looks even more mysterious. If you look down from here, you can see both ‘Seomjingang River’ and ‘Gurye’ at a glance.

I recommend going to ‘Gokseong Station’ in spring if possible. It is especially recommended to visit during the Rose Festival. Daseulgi soup is famous near Seomjingang River, so don’t miss it. The last station I recommend is ‘Jinbu Odaesan Station’. I’ve been there both in winter and summer.

This station is recommended in all four seasons. First, there is the ‘Woljeongsa’ fir forest path. It is also famous as a filming location for the drama ‘Goblin’. It is one of the three largest fir forests in the country.

When I walk down a path lined with beautiful fir trees, I feel like my heart is being purified. ‘Woljeongsa Temple’ is a famous temple on ‘Odaesan Mountain’ and is always crowded with tourists. In particular, there is National Treasure No. 408, the ‘Octagonal Nine-story Stone Pagoda’.

Although it is currently under renovation, you can feel its sophistication and grandeur even through the glass window. ‘Seonjae-gil’ leading from ‘Woljeongsa Temple’ to ‘Sangwonsa Temple’ It is one of the best trekking courses in the country. Please refer to my video link. This is the ‘Seongbo Museum’,

Where the famous treasures of ‘Woljeongsa Temple’ are stored. In particular, there is a national treasure, the ‘Stone Seated Bodhisattva Statue’. I highly recommend you see it. This is ‘Balwangsan Cable Car’ It goes up to 1,458 meters above sea level in 20 minutes.

There is a sky walk at the top, so it is popular all year round. The mountain is high, but it feels even higher because there is a skywalk. All of Baekdudaegan has a clear view. There are two trails at the top of ‘Balwangsan Mountain.’

‘Baramgil’ can reach the summit of ‘Balwangsan Mountain’ in 10 minutes. Especially in winter, Sanggodae is a very nice place. This is the summit of ‘Balwangsan Mountain.’ The scenery here is truly amazing, isn’t it? The ‘Millennium Yew Forest Trail’ continues right next to the summit.

It is a barrier-free deck road that is approximately 3 km long. You won’t notice the passage of time as you walk along with explanations of the various yew trees. For reference, the ‘Millennium Yew Forest Trail’ was selected as the ‘Star of Korea Tourism’ in 2023. This is the ‘Pyeongchang Olympic Memorial

Hall’, where various souvenirs and records related to the Pyeongchang Olympics remain. There are also good experiential facilities for children to enjoy. I hope the places introduced today will be helpful in planning your trip. Thank you for watching today!
