Así es la IMPRESIONANTE ciudad de TOLEDO España

How are you, my dear friends, young colleagues, today we are in the beautiful ancient city of Toledo, a city that tells many well-known stories because here they made the best swords. We are going to remember this city a little today where

We can find structures. of this magnitude acomp because this is going to be very interesting legend has it that while a warrior from Toledo was forging a red hot sword with fire it occurred to him to pierce a prisoner with it when the blade of the sword made

Contact with the blood it suddenly became tempered The result was so amazing that they thought that the prisoner’s strength had been transferred to the sword. They continued doing this practice until they finished off all the prisoners. Then they did it with pigs until

The pigs ran out due to the need to find a more efficient procedure and ethical to temper the swords, the Toledo artisans undertook experiments with various techniques, they began to sword by introducing the swords in water or oil and in combinations

Of both, it is possible to emphasize that this is just a legend. The truth is that the Toledo blacksmiths, taking advantage of the high quality of the steel of the region in their ded they managed to develop exceptional tempering techniques giving rise to the legendary swords of Toledo that became

Famous throughout Europe Toledo the city of swords no Toledo the city of swords V I show you here Some swords that they sell here ancient city of Toledo, here we can see the swords they make. What beautiful examples of swords. How beautiful. I have a

Sword, the one from the Lord of the Rings showcase. And that one costs 175 with the stand and everything. The truth is that it is an amazing sword. Ah, the one where all half of them are. Oh and this one they say is the Sword of the Lord of the

Rings. It is also known as the city of the Three Cultures because Muslims, Christians and Jews have lived together for a long time, it turns out that these lands It has had many battles, many have fought for this territory when the Roman Empire

Lost strength, it was conquered by the Bigos, who were people from northern Europe who took those lands and later it was conquered by the Muslims who also took over those territories and later it was reconquered by the Christians That is why

Several religions and various cultures coexist in these lands and it can be easily seen in the structures that we find in this beautiful town of Toledo, which was previously the capital of Spain until 1561 when it was moved to the City of Madrid. Toledo was the capital of Spain until

1561 when King Philip II decided to move the court to Madrid. The inclusion of Madrid as the new capital was influenced by various strategic and political reasons. Madrid offered a central location on the Iberian Peninsula, which facilitated communication. and the control of the territory for this reason Madrid became the capital of

Spain and experienced rapid growth and development. On the contrary, Toledo entered a period of economic and social decline that continued for several centuries; however, paradoxically, this historical event may have contributed to preserving the beauty of the medieval architecture of Toledo, which today is presented as an architectural treasure that

Has endured through time. Look at these little streets in this one in this place. How beautiful everything is, no little streets to get lost in this ancient city. mediaval yes or no we have an inscription in Arabic that says Tula and Tula What is the Arabic name of this

City and Here we are going to see the smallest window in the world registered in the Guinness record books no good my friends here I went on a tourist tour To understand a little more about the history of this small city in Spain, look at the hills that there are, and walking,

We arrived at this point, which is the Mosque of Light, an ancient temple that dates back to the year 999, originally built during the period of Muslim rule. The structure was converted into a Christian church after the reconquest. The building stands out for

Its Mudejar architecture that combines Islamic and Christian elements. The name of Christ de The light refers to a crucifix found inside the mosque. A legend of popular tradition tells that the day Alonso Vi entered during the conquest of Toledo in

The year 1085, his horse knelt in front of the mosque upon entering the mosque. city, thus marking a place of special significance. When excavating in that place, the image of a crucified Christ had been discovered that was hidden along with an oil lamp that was still burning.

As a result of this discovery, the figure was named Christ of the light and the mosque It was converted into the hermitage of Christ of the Light. Here we are, what is the Muslim neighborhood. Let’s enter what is the

Christian neighborhood. Here we are crossing the famous street, stolen street, they call those streets here in the 15th and 17th centuries after the transfer of the capital from Toledo to Madrid in 1561, many nobles abandoned their properties and went to Madrid, many convents, taking advantage of the situation,

Acquired properties at a very low cost, but some illegally occupied streets, causing stolen streets. This practice lasted more than 200 years, affecting roads that were cut off. The former residents of the sector in many cases had to take longer paths than

Would have been the case when those streets were available, some even say that a kind of toll could be paid to be able to cross the street, however the municipality managed to recover some streets

And when They did it, they took the habit of placing a plaque on them that said this street is in Toledo. We lay down what is now the Muslim neighborhood and we went from here to there and we entered what I called the

Christian neighborhood where we can find these churches and it was very recognized because They had these wooden crosses that made the distinction that it was a good Christian neighborhood . They say that they made these sheds high so that the

Knights could pass through here with their horses and their lances and they would not have problems when passing through these alleys that was for When they came on foot they played here and when they came on horseback they played in the part over there.

Well, from here to there we are entering what is the Jewish neighborhood , which was very recognized today because in their houses they have these little symbols, at least this one. The little symbol that we see here means, according to what they tell us, it means life, so we are going

To enter this street to continue getting to know what is the part of the Jewish neighborhood here in the beautiful city of Toledo, which has a lot of history and look at those narrow streets. Remember this, the map Of Spain, it is actually okay, it is the map of Spain, the map

Of the entire Iberian Peninsula up here Galicia Asturias Cantabria Basque country we would be here in the center down here we have Andalusia and here the Mediterranean coast and if we put a little more imagination here It would be more or

Less the Balearic Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, and the Canary Islands down here, more or less okay. What we have here, apart from being the emblem of the National network of Jewish quarters, is the representation of the word Sefar, which is the name

The Jews gave the Iberian Peninsula a peninsula formed by the kingdom of Portugal at the Atlantic end, the crown of Castile in the center and the crown of Aragon at the Mediterranean end architectural spectacle this church Well here we are inside the cathedral of Tolero Look, what a work of

Art, the construction of the Cathedral is in the Gothic style with French influence and has the largest number of preserved medieval stained glass windows, but one of its great curiosities is its bell,

Which weighs 18 tons and is the third largest bell in the world. It was rung. for the first time on December 8 , 1755 but it happened that it cracked that same day and since then it has not

Rung again. The crack derived from a defect in the casting has given rise to various legends that surround this imposing bell there in the background we can find what they call the hinge door which was like the entrance to this city in ancient times But what does the

Hinge door represent here by searching Google is in itself a message this is the city of Los Reyes This is the imperial city on an arch of half a point the door holds a splendid representation of

The city’s coat of arms which is none other than the coat of arms of the Austrias and therefore Imperial Spain Well here we can see a little of the heritage of art or leave in these beautiful structures that

The Muslims left us the Arabs when they inhabited these lands there we can see what the Mudejar art is like. So let’s go through the hinged door of here from the city of Toledo Well here we are going through what is the

Hinge door the famous hinge door of Toledo where we find Carlos the emperor I know well that I am outside well guys a piece of advice someone just arrived by bus here in Toledo there is a point of tourist information where they give you this map
