【京都ドライブ】お茶の京都を町歩き。和束町の茶カフェと道の駅みなみやましろ村へ。［オデッセイでドライブ旅］

Thank you for watching the video. This time it’s the Odyssey Hybrid drive series. I will now take the Shin-Meishin Expressway. I’m heading towards Kyoto. I’m heading towards Kyoto. Join the main line. Heading towards the south of Kyoto Prefecture. I would like to go to Minamiyamashiro Village and Wazuka Town in Kyoto.

The Roadside Station series is made with S660 videos. At that time, I found my favorite roadside station. That is Kyoto Minami Yamashiro Village of tea. This is one of my favorite roadside stations in Kyoto. There are some sightseeing spots near the roadside station in Minamiyamashiro Village. That is Wazuka Town in Kyoto Prefecture.

Tea is very famous. When I went to the roadside station, I wasn’t able to tour Wazuka Town. So I wanted to do some sightseeing in Wazuka town. Today we are going on a sightseeing drive to a place called Wazuka-cho in Kyoto Prefecture. This time I am using the expressway from the beginning.

Wazuka Town in Kyoto is on the south side of Kyoto. From the northern part of Osaka to the southern part of Kyoto… You can’t avoid the city center of Osaka. I use the expressway to avoid congestion. If you don’t use the expressway, it will take longer than you expected.

Take the expressway to Kizugawa in Kyoto. From the Shin-Meishin Expressway, continue on to the Keinawa Expressway’s Yamada River IC. At Takatsuki JCT on the Shin-Meishin Expressway, change to the Meishin Expressway. Continue on and join the Meishin Expressway. From here, the Meishin Expressway splits into a right route and a left route.

Take the left route to the Keiji Bypass. I came to Oyamazaki Junction and changed to Keiji Bypass. We will run on the Keiji Bypass for a short section. Head towards Daini Keihan Road. Take the Keinawa Expressway towards the Yamada River Interchange . From the Yamada River Interchange, follow National Route 163.

We run along the road along the Kizugawa River. Another 1.4km is the Yamada River Interchange. I entered Kizugawa City. Get off the expressway at the Yamada River exit. From here, we will continue along National Route 163. Route 163 turns right. You can also go straight down the same path.

The road you will cross from here is National Route 24. The route using National Route 24 seems to be shorter. However, I want to drive on a road I have never seen before, so I go straight ahead. This area is a new residential area.

I hear that there are a lot of houses left, but new houses are also increasing. It’s funny, is not it? From here, we will continue along the road along the Kizugawa River. I wasn’t sure if the route that took Route 24 was faster or the current route.

National Route 163 is a riverside road that is very easy to drive on. This is a recommended route for driving. Turn left at this intersection. We are heading towards Wazuka. It’s my first time going to this place. Drive slowly from here. Let’s go and enjoy the scenery.

Amazing. It is written as Chagenkyo Wazuka. Enter Wazuka Town. Japan’s Most Beautiful Village Association Wazuka Town I think the time when the cherry blossoms bloom is very beautiful. This looks beautiful. It seems that it has the name “Sakura no Sesarage Komichi”. Head to Wazuka Tea Cafe. Let’s drink tea first.

I’m having trouble deciding what to order. I would like to try all of them. This is “Tencha” .I chose matcha latte. You can enjoy brewing your own tea. I also ordered matcha zenzai. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavor and bitterness of matcha, and the aroma of the tea was also soothing.

Walk along the blue route on the Wazuka map. It looks like it will take about 2 hours, but I will walk. There’s only 1.1km left to reach the Ishidera tea plantation, which will take quite a while if you walk slowly. I’m tired of walking so I’m going to take a break.

The “mochiri stick” that Tetsuro Degawa also ate is delicious with a mysterious texture and tea flavor. Next, I will go buy Wazuka craft beer. I bought tea and beer. I bought it because it was from Wazuka. Wazuka town is a really nice place. I was able to enjoy walking around the city.

I was in Wazuka town for almost 4 hours. It was a really nice place. The tea fields were beautiful. It’s good to explore on foot, or you can rent a bicycle and explore. From now on, I’m going to Kyoto Minamiyama Mashiro Village, the roadside station Ocha. And I’d like to eat lunch…

I think the restaurant closed at 4pm… It seems like the last order will be at 3:00 or 3:30. I don’t think I’ll be able to eat it at a restaurant though… I’ll just go to the roadside station. From here, change to National Route 163. Turn left at this intersection. Now turn left.

Then continue straight on National Route 163. There is a roadside station along National Route 163. The time is 15:32. We have arrived at the roadside station Ochano Kyoto Minami Yamashiro Village. I think the restaurant is probably closed. Let’s go! We arrived at the roadside station. I went to a restaurant right away, but…

There were limited items that could be ordered. And since I couldn’t seem to calm down and eat, I gave up on eating. I bought some mackerel sushi that was half price. Then, I bought bamboo shoot sushi in Wazuka. Let’s eat. The tea is made with tea leaves from Minamiyamashiro Village and

Has a nice aroma. I will eat bamboo shoot sushi. The texture and taste of the bamboo shoots and the vinegared rice are a perfect balance. Next, I will eat mackerel sushi. Is delicious. Lastly, we have grilled mackerel sushi. Delicious sushi with just the right amount of vinegar. I’ll have hojicha chocolate for dessert.

Unfortunately, the chocolate parfait was sold out. Valentine’s limited hojicha chocolate. You can feel the aroma of hojicha and the bitterness of cacao. Sweets with an adult taste. We will also introduce tea beer. This is a tea beer I bought in Wazuka town. It’s a beer made with tea.

This beer uses tea from Wazuka Town. Three types of tea beer were sold. Each type uses different tea leaves. This is hojicha stout. And this is deep steamed tea IPA. Kabusecha white ale. I can’t drink it all. I will try Kabusecha White Ale.

This is a beer where you can feel the color of tea. Now, let’s eat. It has a milder taste and less bitterness than a strong beer. At the end, there is a faint scent of tea. For the time being, you can make beer with tea. This is a really easy-drinking beer.

Yes, this is the roasted green tea stout. The color is similar to hojicha and has a black peel-like color. Now let’s have a drink. It really tastes like hojicha. At first, you will feel the carbonic acid going down your throat. After that, the scent of hojicha spreads.

You can really feel the taste of hojicha. You can really taste the tea, including the beer you drank first. You can enjoy the unique flavor of craft beer. The last tea beer that is extremely delicious is deep steamed tea IPA. This one also uses Wazuka’s tea leaves.

This may have been the best pour. I wonder if it has the color of beer?But if you look closely, it looks like the color of tea, but if you look closely, it looks like the color of tea. This gives you the strongest taste of beer.

At the end, there is a nice fluffy aroma of tea. You can really feel the bitterness of this hop in beer. It feels like it’s being gently sucked into your throat. I drank 3 types of tea beer. All have a strong tea flavor. Experience the benefits of drinking craft beer.
