일본의 숨겨진 주옥같은 여행지 오카야마와 구라시키 【일본일주3】
While traveling around Japan A chance visit A small town I didn’t even know the name of A place where I could feel Japan more deeply The trip was like an unplanned gift Hello, I’m Journeyman, traveling around the country by train in Japan. I’m at Okayama Station Sunrise Izumo, Japan’s last sleeping train
After successfully completing the ticket reservation I’m in Okayama, so after a short tour of the city. I’m going to move on to a traditional Japanese village called Kurashiki. You’re not sure where Okayama is, are you? I didn’t know that city either. It’s 1 hour and 40 minutes from Fukuoka by shinkansen.
A small town about 50 minutes from Osaka We stumbled upon a tram in Okayama. Since the theme of this trip is train travel I didn’t hesitate to board the tram. There was a stop right in front of Okayama Station. The fare is 200 yen ($1.35)
Note that the tram must be boarded by the back door. And when you get off, you have to pay at the front door The price is the same no matter where you get off, so I decide to go to the end. I like the tram because
Of course, since I can’t ride it in Korea It’s nice to feel exotic and unfamiliar, but I think it’s better because you can feel the sensation of the train and the bus together. It’s a train on the road, so to speak.
Trains should only run on rails, and cars should only run on roads. And it was kind of a first impression that completely overturned some of those stereotypes. And the tram is an actual mode of transportation for people who live locally.
So it’s a great way to get a glimpse into the life of the city. It’s great to go to the big touristy places that people come to. But sometimes, living like a local for a while can make for a great trip. The quietness of unfamiliar surroundings, the freshness of breathing in the air
It seems to give me a broader perspective and different values. The tram reaches the end of the line. Take your time looking at the tram The trams all have different designs, so it’s fun to pick them out The driver’s seat of the tram The traces of time are still visible
The train and the other steering wheel look interesting. A farebox that accepts both cash and cards Students going home at the end of the school day I could almost see them using the tram Actually, the destination was Okayama Castle, a tourist destination. Perhaps I was on a tram going somewhere else
Halfway through, I realized it was a different line. but I decided to go where this tram was taking me. I arrived at the museum where the tram depot is located. As a lover of trains and trams, this was more than a tourist attraction for me.
This is pretty close to the front of the tram. I think the tram is probably made from this skeleton. That’s interesting. Okayama Station Travel to a small town called Kurashiki I’m going to visit the Bikan district, a neighborhood of traditional Japanese houses. Sanyo Line / Kurashiki / Platform 2
Looks like we can get on here Kurashiki is very close to Okayama, only 17 minutes by train. Outside the window you can feel the atmosphere of a rural Japanese village I’ve arrived at Kurashiki Station. I need to find a place to stay and eat first.
After that, I will visit the kurashiki bikan historical quarter Kurashiki Station has a village feel I found a restaurant that was open, so I went in. It was after 2:00 p.m. and most of the restaurants were on break. I heard that the fried rice here is good, so I ordered fried rice.
I can add mini ramen, so I added mini ramen. It looks delicious Almost all restaurants in Japan are delicious That’s it for now, downtown. And I think this is where the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter starts a little bit Entrance to the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, a collection of traditional Japanese houses.
That’s a long neck. They’re putting their heads in the water But they hold their breath for a very long time I’ve never seen him like that before Is there a fish? There are so many fish It’s all fish They won’t starve to death such cute kids that stopped walking for a while
Anyway, I think the canal starts from here I’m going to walk along this road kurashiki bikan historical quarter is The street scenes created by traditional buildings with a history of nearly 400 years
It is full of small but wonderful alleys where you can enjoy the quietness while walking leisurely around the Kurashiki River Canal Best place for quiet travellers I think it’s a great place to take a break What would it be like to live in a place like this?
If I live in a place like this away from the city, I think it’ll be very quiet Maybe I’m bored? I had a lot of thoughts for a long time because I wanted to leave the complicated and noisy city and live a little bored
The sun is setting and I walk the streets at night for a while I can see the students who are leaving school on bicycles It’s not like a folk village, but a place where real residents live, so I was able to communicate more deeply
I think I’ve fallen for the charm of a strange little town that I didn’t even know its name What do you think of this place? It’s so cool I lived in China for a short time, and I went to see traditional Chinese villages
And of course, I’m Korean, so I’ve seen a lot of traditional Korean villages Korea, Japan, and China have similar traditional images but different colors I’m not an architectural expert, but I think Korean, Chinese, and Japanese architecture is similar Whether it’s clothes, eating, or sleeping I think we have a lot of similarities
Anyway, I had a good trip to ‘kurashiki bikan historical quater’ and I recommend this place. There are explanations about the hotel’s breakfast and dinner Awesome! That’s nice 50,000 won ($37) including dinner + breakfast I picked a place close to me today, but I’m happy that it’s free to eat dinner
The key looks like this. Do I put the key in here? Oh, that’s right The lights turn on like this The wallpapers, lights, and blankets that look very old a TV smaller than a computer monitor It’s so cute that I can boil water to eat cup noodles
I think this place is supposed to drink green tea. I didn’t find this phone It’s been a while since I’ve seen a landline phone I have everything I need There’s also an emergency flash Japan has a lot of earthquakes and disasters
So if there’s an earthquake and the electricity is cut off, use it in an emergency situation If there’s an earthquake in bed, get up right away, grab it with your left hand, and leave right away I might think it’s a shame if I’m in this room condition for 50,000 won ($37).
But they give me free dinner and breakfast It’s great Breakfast tickets and this is dinner tickets It’s been a long time, but I’m in a city where I can feel the tradition
I can relax comfortably in an old and friendly hotel like this, and they give me delicious breakfast and dinner for 50,000 won And today is Friday, so it’s more expensive Wow, this is cost-effective I’ll have to try it to see if it’s good, but I think it’s great overall
I’m not trying to rationalize the fact that I’m holding this place It’s because I was surprised And “kurashiki bikan historical quater” was good I only walked around the canal today But there are many villages up and down the canal I think I’ll have some time after checking out tomorrow
I’m going to look around the areas that I haven’t seen before I’ll take a break and go eat dinner Finally, I’m going to eat dinner Restaurant that feels like a cafeteria It’s almost VIPS’s salad corner Thank you. I guess it’s miso soup Oh, like this Soup is self-service Miso soup comes out
A simple-looking Japanese home meal I have two choices. I chose Japanese fried chicken This is… 1, 2, 3, 4… 7 side dishes It’s really good This might not be a special food But I think it’s my first time seeing so many side dishes in Japan
It’s nice to be able to eat in a variety of ways It’s good because it’s made by a lady like mother This is a Japanese home-style meal I haven’t had a home-cooked meal in a long time. But it tastes as good as my mom’s. Anyway, this is free Isn’t it so great?
Coffee and all kinds of drinks are also free! Best cost-effectiveness Today, I’m going to wrap up with Kirin beer and beer snacks The next morning, the restaurant on the first floor I set the alarm wrong, so I can’t eat breakfast After all, I checked out on an empty stomach and found it again
It reminds me of LOL’s Musa Schenn There are 3 knives on the side. It reminds me of Zorro of One Piece. Yesterday, I walked along the canal here Today, I’m going to go to places that I haven’t been to at the top or bottom Sunny and warmer weather than yesterday
Light steps after leaving all one’s luggage at the accommodation It’s quieter than yesterday because it’s morning To summarize, I turned on the alarm every 10 minutes from 8:30 in the morning before I go to bed. I looked at the clock and it was 9:30 in the morning
What is this? I looked at the alarm and it was set from 8:30 p.m. I should have set it to 8:30 a.m.. Maybe it’s because I’m tired. Anyway, I made a mistake If you follow the alley from the canal, you’ll find the next alley It’s a lot quieter here It’s a quieter atmosphere
This place feels like an old rich house This place feels like an old rich house There’s a way to go up right next to the oyster bridge Can you see this? This is the hotel that gives you dinner, breakfast, and sleep for only 50,000 won
I came up all the stairs and I saw a big house I looked it up on Google Maps and it says it’s a temple It looks like this inside There’s a huge yard on the left There’s also a small pond here And there are a lot of trees
Maybe because it’s a temple, I feel calm It’s similar to Korea but a little different a sense of peace that can be heard only by the sounds of birds and the wind I think this is the point of view. Let’s go closer I can see the scenery well here
You can see a lot of tiled roofs It’s very quiet It’s peaceful Taking a quiet walk helps me organize my thoughts I came over a small hill and the scenery is so nice an unadorned and charming view of a small town
I see a lot of people when I come back down to the canal Still, it’s Saturday, and I’m glad there aren’t that many people. There are many attractive buildings I think I can borrow a kimono like this I could see people wearing kimonos everywhere
As expected, places with a lot of Japanese people are very quiet Even couples who look like newlyweds People who are having a good time with their friends The boatmen who row for them Everyone looked happy Kurashiki trip is over Go back to Okayama Station to take the Shinkansen
I’m getting used to changing trains HKARI 514 / 14:36 min Car Check 20 minutes to spare Arrival of the Shinkansen bound for Tokyo Thanks to the reservation of the JR PASS green car, there are plenty of seats available today This train passes through Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, etc Yes, we left. It’s fast
I can definitely feel this because I took the train in the U.S. and Canada, right The American and Canadian trains go very slowly at 110km But the Shinkansen feels very fast The footrest here is very unique
You can spread it out like this. If you press the pedal, you can adjust the height So, it’s carefully designed to adjust the height of your feet according to the angle of your backrest I opened the armrest and there was a small table Let’s open the table in front of us
I found something more interesting and it moves like this This is very comfortable If it’s a bit far here, you can pull it up and use it close It sounds good. an unfamiliar smoking room announcement on the train There is a detailed information on the smoking room inside the train
I’m curious about the smoking compartment of the Shinkansen, so I’m visiting right away a much more pleasant atmosphere than expected Best train smoking room view It’s amazing that you can smoke on the Shinkansen train I think there are so many different kinds of trains in Japan Anyway, I’m taking it because it’s fascinating
This is Shin-Osaka Station Okayama is very close to Osaka. I think it’s been about an hour I’m passing Kyoto It’s a shame that you just pass Osaka and Kyoto I need to come back But I don’t worry too much because I have JR Pass You can come anytime I’m passing Nagoya Station
Originally, I had a schedule in Nagoya for about two days I’m going to Tokyo to take the sleeping train, so my travel schedule is tangled But now that I’ve decided on my priorities, I feel at ease I can always make decisions based on my heart I think that’s the charm of traveling alone
I finally arrived at Tokyo Station Like a big city, it’s very crowded and crowded From Tokyo Station to Shinjuku I went up and down. I went back and forth I was told to go to number 13 and then number 16. I’m wandering around in Shinjuku
It’s probably the same line, but I think there are many platforms Anyway, number 16. I can see number 16 I’m just moving, but I’m exhausted I’m going to take the train and there are a lot of people in the restaurant. It’s like a good restaurant! It’s like a famous subway restaurant
I don’t have much energy, so I think it’s better to eat something and move I just picked the menu at the top When I go to a restaurant, I think the menu at the front is the delicious one Hot cotton soba + Fried Bean Curd Rice Ball The soup first Next is noodles
First of all, the taste is hot soba, so it’s new to me Because I always had cold soba And first of all, the price is so cheap This is about 5,000 won ($3.7), including fried tofu rice balls If I didn’t buy fried tofu rice balls, would it be 4,000 won ($4)?
I think it’s better to eat noodles and soup together It’s a bit bland because I only ate noodles Go to Koenji Station I decided to see my friends in Tokyo Yakiniku (Japanese beef) that I was glad to see more than my friends I regret eating soba and move on to the second round
Fish cake with a Japanese atmosphere It’s alcohol made from fish cake soup? It’s fish cake soup Is this sake? This is sake It’s delicious. It’s unique I’m glad to meet friends I met abroad while traveling alone I was tired, but I drank up to the third round and ended the day
