Hello. This is Taka from ZIPANG55. I am currently at Ishigakijima Airport in Okinawa Prefecture. We will now head to Hoshino Resort “Risonare Kohamajima” on Kohamajima. It is famous as a resort area with beautiful stars and the sea. This channel introduces the charms of Japan with a focus on hotels.
If you want to know the best travel information, please subscribe to our channel. I’d like to head over there right away. Kohama Island is 25 minutes by boat from Ishigaki Island. First, head to Ishigaki Port from the airport. There are also buses.
This time I have a lot of luggage, so I’ll take a taxi. It takes about 20 minutes from the airport to the port. Ishigaki Island plays a central role among the islands surrounding the Yaeyama area. The island’s population is approximately 50,000 people.
The four surrounding islands, including Kohama Island, have a combined population of about 3,600 people. They seem to be going to Ishigaki Island to buy things from other islands. Kohama Island has no convenience stores and only one store.
We recommend that you purchase alcohol and snacks to drink in your room in advance and bring them with you. I would also like to buy some at the supermarket and then head to the port. After shopping, we arrived at the port.
It is a large port as it plays a central role on each island. Here you can purchase tickets for boats to each island. There are also some simple restaurants and shops. You can also apply for tours. They also sell Okinawa’s famous “Blue Sea Ice”. We also sell snacks such as rice balls.
There are also some simple restaurants. If you come to Ishigaki Island, be sure to try Mariya Shake. We use Mariya milk from cows raised on Ishigaki Island. There are various flavors so please try them. This time I ordered a milk-based mango flavor. It was very delicious.
Now that the time has come, I would like to board the ship. The sea is beautiful. I got on board. The boat is surprisingly large and the seats are wide. You can sit comfortably. There are also many seats. There is also a place to put your suitcase.
The island is a 25 minute boat ride away. There are 7 ships a day from Ishigaki Island to Kohama Island. There are many flights. We arrived at Kohama Island. There were many tourists at the port of Kohama Island. There is a simple souvenir shop inside the port.
This is what the port looks like. It takes about 10 minutes by car from the port to the hotel. There is a bus shuttle to the hotel. Since it is a large bus, it can transport many guests to the hotel at once.
They will guide you around the island as you head to your hotel. The population of the island is 600, and the islanders go to Ishigaki Island for shopping. The distance from Osaka is 1,600 km and from Tokyo is 1,970 km. Taiwan is located 300km from the island.
There is a time difference of about one hour between Taiwan and Japan. Kohama Island also has a similar time difference. A staff member greeted us at the entrance. This is the building with the lobby. Buildings are divided by role. The lobby building has a reception desk and a pool.

You can walk to your room, but a cart will take you to and from the room. The beach is 2-3 minutes away by car. Shuttle buses leave every 20 minutes. There is also a cafe near the beach. It’s 11am now, but you can enter the room from 3pm.
I would like to leave my luggage with you until then and go for a canoe ride. I will introduce them in the next video. Before going for a canoe ride, I would like to introduce you to the spa building. You can change your clothes and receive beauty treatments.
You can take a shower and change clothes even after checking out. There are also umbrellas available. You don’t have to worry about sudden rain. There was also a coffee maker and all you could drink.
You can also receive beauty treatment on the second floor. You can make a reservation for the beauty salon at the time of check-in. There are also sofas and simple magazines to relax on. Since there were no people around, I was able to take photos of the shower facilities. There are three private showers.
They also have shampoo and body soap. Bath towels and hand towels are also available. I enjoyed kayaking in the sea. It’s time to go to my room, so I’d like to head over. You can send it by cart. Now let’s go into the room.
It’s very spacious. There are two sofas and an area in the back where you can lie down. Air purifiers were also installed. There is also a bedroom in the back. The closet is also spacious, so you can store a lot of clothes. There’s also a chest of drawers.
The toilet is also spacious and private. It will be a bathroom. The shower room and bathtub are separated. You can collect hot water and soak in it slowly. The bathtub is surprisingly deep. It comes with shampoo/conditioner/body soap.
There is also a desk and chair right next to the bathroom where you can cool off outside. There are also two washbasins, which is convenient. As part of our eco-friendly activities, we only take the necessary amenities when you are shown to your room.
We also have a wide range of facial amenities such as face wash and lotion. The room also has a refrigerator with a freezer. It also contains water for regular use. You can refill your water supply in the lobby using the containers in your room.
The tap water is also drinkable, as it is drawn from the neighboring Iriomote Island. You can also make coffee with a coffee maker. Glasses are also available. They also have pajamas with nice patterns. I also brought back some types of “Chinsuko” that are distributed free of charge in the lobby.
This time’s room will be a superior suite. Prices range from 36,000 to 40,000 yen per night, including breakfast. This is the cheapest room in this hotel. It’s spacious enough so I’m satisfied. This time we are planning to stay at this hotel for 2 nights.

Unfortunately, the stars cannot be seen in the video. I can see some of it in the photo, but it’s not much. Be sure to experience the starry sky while you’re there. I would like to go back to my room and rest today. It’s morning. I would like to go have breakfast now.
Actually, I did yoga on the beach while soaking up the morning sun. Yoga while looking at the beautiful sun felt very good. I will also introduce you to that situation in a separate video. Breakfast is buffet style. Hoshino Resorts on Kohama Island is famous for its delicious food.

Island tofu Mozuku ham and cheese Scrambled eggs Tamagoyaki and boiled eggs and cheese mousse Warm vegetable sausages Brown sugar French toast is baked on the spot. This is one of the must-try dishes at this hotel. Eat French toast with cream.
There are also many types of bread. There are also plenty of fruits such as lychees and oranges. Kohamajima soft serve ice cream is also one of the famous dishes at this hotel. You can add various flavors, and there are many different types of drinks that change daily.
There is “Mariya milk”. This is the milk used in the Mariya Shake introduced at Ishigaki Port. It is very delicious even when drunk with milk. Everything looks delicious. There were so many types of bread that it was hard to choose. Island tofu is creamy like yogurt.
Brown sugar French toast is a specialty of Hoshino Resorts Kohamajima. The French toast is also sweet and delicious. You can enjoy it with various toppings. Eat with plenty of cream. It’s very delicious. Please try it on Kohama Island. The egg dishes like boiled eggs were also very tasty.
The Kohamajima soft serve ice cream with plenty of cheese is made with the aforementioned Mariya milk. Mariya milk is milk from Ishigaki Island. The taste is very smooth and delicious. Please come and have a drink. This time, I used Okinawa’s famous red sweet potato as a topping.
It was extremely delicious with the sweetness of the red sweet potato and soft serve ice cream. The food at Hoshino Resorts Kohamajima is very delicious. We highly recommend a plan that includes breakfast. The breakfast was very delicious. Then I would like to head to the hotel’s beach.
It takes 2-3 minutes by car. Shuttle buses also run every 20 minutes. If the time is not available, you can pick up and drop off with a cart. I arrived at the beach. It’s a beautiful beach. There are two shops near the beach.
The beach cafe is a restaurant where you can eat pizza and drinks. There was also a wide variety of drinks. I ordered dragon fruit juice. It was very delicious. Distances to nearby islands are written. The other store is a facility called book cafe.
The air conditioner works inside the room, making it cool and comfortable. All-you-can-drink water and coffee are available. There is also a pool in front of you. It’s fun to take a dip in the pool right in front of the sea. You can also take a shower right away.
We are running a beer garden with a spectacular view. You can choose from 5 types of beer. This time I chose a beer with a fruity flavor. A desk and chair are set up in the sea. You can sit and drink beer.
It’s great to be able to drink alcohol while looking at the spectacular view. This beer garden is only open during the summer. It is held on the beach depending on the season. The contents of the pattern are different. Check out what events are held during the season you visit.
