This time, I walked around Yushima in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo. Yushima is an area adjacent to Ueno, Hongo, and Ochanomizu, and is known for the famous Yushima Tenjin Shrine. Yushima Tenjin is dedicated to Sugawara Michizane, the god of learning, and is extremely popular among students. It becomes particularly bustling during the season when the plum blossoms are in bloom. From traditional Japanese cuisine to casual cafes and international dishes, the Yushima area offers a variety of gourmet spots where you can enjoy the atmosphere.
