This village, located at the foot of Namsan Mountain, has lagged behind in development for a long time. A place full of old houses and shops. Recently, it is a popular area for retro-style remodeling of old buildings. However, residents of this area are hoping for an improvement in their uncomfortable living conditions.
We can see old, small shops An alley with a small market The road leading to the Hyatt Hotel in Namsan is “Gyeongridan” street. In the past, U.S. military units were close to this area. There are still many foreign residents living here.
It is a convenient area as there are many stores that speak English. It is a village with more of a human atmosphere than an apartment complex filled with concrete. The lower town going up the hill on the right side of this road is a working-class village.

From the top of the hill, you have the advantage of having a clear view of downtown Seoul. Although the old houses are uncomfortable, it is an atmospheric village. It’s a taste of an old town that can’t be found in newly developed urban areas. You can also see houses that have already been rebuilt.
The sound of birds below the mountain is also enjoyable. How is the street at night? It’s safe, there are CCTVs everywhere in the alley. The slope is a bit high for walking… Jungkook’s house is located on the hill on the left. It is the house diagonally next to the house on the left.
It’s a large vacant lot behind Jungkook’s house. On the left is a housing complex with several units. When we go up this alley, Jungkook’s new house is on the left. The newly built large building on the left is owned by the son of the former chairman of Daewoo Group.
He also owns a film production company, but I don’t know the purpose of the building yet. It’s right next door to Jungkook. This is now the construction site for JK’s new house. The exterior walls of the house were completed, The structural work is almost complete, and the interior work is in progress.
Construction is scheduled to last until May 31st. It is a structure with 2 floors underground and 3 floors above ground. Because it is a hilly terrain, the basement floor is expected to be the same as the ground floor. Both sides of Jungkook’s house are large and clean houses.
The back is the wide open space we saw earlier as we came up. The neighbor on the left is the Kuwaiti embassy residence. This is a smart car that is always parked here. This front is a real rich neighborhood~ We can see the top of the third floor of JK’s house
