【川越観光】川越から始まる埼玉1泊2日の旅①(1日目前半)金笛しょうゆ工場見学&小江戸川越で時の鐘🔔が鳴るまで食べ歩き😋【埼玉観光】【大人の社会科見学】Vol.79 [MULTI SUB/4K]
Good morning! This is E-Ma. I’m looking forward to the trip even more than usual if the weather starts out clear (*’▽’). This is the first part of the 1 night 2 day trip to Saitama. I would like to sightsee around Kawagoe, which is famous for Little Edo.
Please enjoy it with me till the end ! I will take a detour before going to Kawagoe. [Kinbue Soy Sauce Park]. This facility has a restaurant, a direct sales store, and a factory tour. Factory tours are held several times daily.
You can make a reservation in advance, but if there is space, you can also make a reservation on the day. It is OK to take photos and videos. “Kinbue Soy Sauce School”. I received this textbook. This is a study about soy sauce (゚∀゚). The person who explains it to me is the president.
It provides easy-to-understand explanations of the ingredients needed to make soy sauce. A wooden bucket about 2m in length and width. Moromi is added to this mixture and fermented and aged over time. This is moromi that has been brewed for about a month. This contains moromi that has been aged for two years.
The color and scent have changed from the one in the wooden barrel earlier. “Shikomi Kura”. The moromi is fermented and aged in this warehouse for about three years. Soy sauce is made by pressing, pasteurizing, and filtering. The factory tour took about 30 minutes. I always use soy sauce.
I learned that it took so long to make. “Soy Sauce Storehouse Restaurant”. Let’s take a short break here. Grilled rice ball 550 yen. The aroma of fragrant soy sauce is nice (´ー`). Baumdesale 650 yen. Soy sauce-flavored Baumkuchen and soy sauce-flavored soft serve ice cream.
The “soy sauce for sweets” tasted like the sauce for mitarashi dango and was delicious (´ー`). There were many types of soy sauce lined up at the shop. I arrived at Kawagoe in about 15 minutes by car from Kinbue Soy Sauce Park. Let’s start sightseeing from here. [Kawagoe Castle Ruins].
Very little remains of the castle remain. The only remaining Honmaru Palace in eastern Japan. It is a very large and magnificent mansion. [Kawagoe Castle Honmaru Palace]. Admission fee: 100 yen for adults, 50 yen for university and high school students. You can also get the castle seal of Kawagoe Castle here.
There are three realistic dolls in the chief retainer’s office. There was a reenactment of the students spreading out the materials and having a discussion. [Miyoshino Shrine] I’m curious about the “birthplace of Toryanse no Uta.” Miyoshino Shrine was built within the grounds of Kawagoe Castle and was affectionately known as “Castle Tenjin.”
The common people were only able to visit the temple during the annual grand festival or during the Shichi-Go-San festival. Even when visiting the temple, security was very strict and if you behaved even slightly suspiciously, you would be disciplined. It is said that the thoughts of the common people became popular as children’s songs.
Next we came to [Hikawa Shrine]. This shrine is very popular as a power spot for marriage. There are long lines to visit. “Puppet sink”. Blow on the washi paper called a “doll” three times. The doll is rubbed against the body and then poured into a purifying river with sacred water.
It is said to be able to remove physical and mental ailments. Sea bream fortune. It is a fortune that you can catch yourself using a fishing rod. Everyone will want to buy this (´ー`). Ema tunnel that looks great on SNS. It’s not E-Ma’s tunnel (*´艸`). “Sacred tree”.
The 600-year-old married couple’s zelkova tree is said to bring luck in marriage. It is said that if you circle the tree in a figure 8 pattern, you will receive power. Power charge complete! Now, let’s take a long-awaited stroll through the storehouse-style townscape known as Little Edo.
There was a walking map at the [Nakamachi Tourist Information Center] so I took it. You can go through the back door of the tourist information center. It is connected to a park called Kajicho Hiroba. This park faces the main street. I would like to take a walk from here. What an amazing person…(;´・ω・).
[KAWAGOE CHEESE CAKE]. I decided on this as the first place to eat while walking (*’▽’). Mont Blanc Basque Cheesecake 850 yen. They will make it right in front of you (*’▽’). There is ice cream and flakes inside. A cheesecake Mont Blanc is placed on top of it. It’s a satisfying sweet (´ー`).
I also wanted to try the Nekomanma-yaki rice balls from Katsuobushi Nakaichi Main Store. The line was so long that I gave up (´・ω・`). There are too many people on Sunday (^_^;). “Entrance to the Bell of Time.” This is the view of Kawagoe that you often see when you turn at this traffic light.
“A street with bells.” The bell of time is a symbol of Little Edo Kawagoe. It is said to have been built in the early Edo period. The current bell tower was rebuilt the year after the Kawagoe Great Fire in 1899. It has a three-layer structure and is approximately 16 meters high.
When you get to the bottom, you can’t see the bell (^_^;). “Kawagoe’s Bell of Time”. Starbucks Coffee. I wanted to go there because the Japanese garden that I could see from my window was beautiful. It was crowded so I gave up here too (>_<). Osatsu chips from [Koedo Osatsuan].
This is Kawagoe's typical sweets to eat while walking. I've eaten there before, so I'll just introduce it to you this time. [Kanon] next to the bell of time. Takosen with a bell costs 200 yen. It is a dagashi that is eaten by sandwiching Akashiyaki with shrimp.
It was hard to eat, but it was delicious (*'▽'). It's almost time. The bell rings four times a day. The bell will ring automatically at 6:00 a.m., noon, 3:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. Now, listen carefully. For the first time, I was able to see the bell ringing (*'▽').
The next part will be the second part of Day 1 of our 1 night and 2 day trip to Saitama. I hope this video is of some help to you. If you like it, please click the good button and subscribe to the channel!
I would be happy if you could leave your opinions in the comments section. Thank you for watching until the end. Look forward to next time~(^_^)/~
