Staying at a Quaintly Spooky, Sweets-Themed Japanese Love Hotel🍪🍦🍭🍫🍩 | Sweets Hotel Chocolat
Hi! We are in Shibuya, Tokyo. We’re going to stay at a quirky love hotel with a sweets theme. Shibuya is crowded even on weekdays. Let’s cross the Shibuya Scramble Intersection. Do you know the manga/anime called Jujutsu Kaisen? Shibuya is a key setting in the anime, especially here 109 where Megumi fought.
That’s why walking here makes me feel excited. The hotel is a 7-minute walk from Shibuya Station or a 3-minute walk from Shinsen Station. It’s close to a women-only capsule hotel that’s one of my favorites. Turn left at this signpost. Then, you’ll see candy houses.
There are two candy houses; the pink one is Sweets Hotel Ruby. The brown one is Sweets Hotel Chocolat. We’re staying at Chocolat tonight. Decorated with whipped ice cream and cookies, it’s so cute. It reopened as a sweets hotel in November 2021, but the building itself isn’t new.
Look, a tree that grows candies. It’s like a dream. Though very cute, remember it’s a love hotel, so no one under 18 is allowed. There’s also a candy tree inside. And it even talks. Designed for privacy, you don’t have to face the staff. One example is the touchscreen check-in.
“Please make use of the member’s card in your room.” There are only 10 rooms. We chose the ‘President’ room type today. The stay from 8 PM to noon the next day costs 18,590 yen (126.53 USD / € 116.25). Keep the room card for checkout. Not sushi, but revolving sweets!
The replica cakes and Sylvanian Families figures behind are adorable. You can get one free macaron per group. They’re individually wrapped, which is great. The macaron is quite big. There are other free candies too. Mint-flavored tablets. Strawberry yogurt-flavored tablets. Gumballs. Hard candies. The colors are cute, I’ll go with strawberry yogurt.
Wow, I received more candy than expected. Hair ties, phone cleaners, earplugs, toe separators, nail files. The elevator doors have a macaron pattern! The elevator is one-way, so no bumping into other guests. The inside door looks like chocolate. Oh, our room is right here. The door is unlocked.
We’ll change into slippers in the entrance. The entrance is quite narrow. There’s a lock on the inside. You can go out and come back in. Let’s go inside. Wow, what’s this?! A glittering merry-go-round. It’s quiet in the room. Wow, there’s a candy tree inside the room too! Creepy. It’s 28 square meters.
Despite many large furnishings and decorations, it doesn’t feel too cramped. The far wall is covered in candies! The air conditioner blends in. Shell-shaped melon bread? Chocolate stick? Strawberry jam cookie. Nut chocolates? Two large beds. The donut cushions are squishy. A phone to call the front desk.
You can adjust the brightness of the lights. There are two light switches. Equipped with USB ports and outlets. Tissues, and items to deepen love. A cute bench and table. The wallpaper has an unexpected Arabian style. The space between the bench and bed is very narrow. The table is filled with various candy parts.
So cute. Ah, the member’s card! No need to register your name, and it’s free to join. There are nearly 20 benefits like free drinks and food. There are discounts too, so it’s good to join. A lighter. It’s a smoking-friendly room, but doesn’t have a strong tobacco smell. User guide and food menu.
There’s a TV stand in front of the bed. How big is the TV? It’s huge. Relaxing on the bed. You can log into video-on-demand services like Netflix. There are some services you can enjoy without logging in. Movies, variety shows, adult videos and more. And there’s even karaoke.
Since we’re in Shibuya, let’s choose this song. This hotel is suitable not only for couples but also for friends or groups. So great for parties too. Cups, glasses, and an electric kettle. Green tea, black tea, and coffee. A small refrigerator. One free bottle of water.
Additional bottles are 290 yen (1.97 USD / € 1.81) each. Microwave. The small vending machine seems unusable. And, the candy tree and merry-go-round! They’re as solid as something you’d find in an amusement park. All rooms have a sweets theme, but only this room has these. Having these in a room is truly unique.
It says “Talking Tree ON.” The tree doesn’t talk, but its expression starts moving. That’s… scary. The branches are moving too! The candies are swaying. A glittering merry-go-round. The start button. Wow, that startled me. Music plays, and the horses start moving. It’s quite a vigorous movement. Such a strange room. It’s interesting.
Once you press the switch, the music plays for 5-10 minutes non-stop. I want to stop it. But can’t. Please. No other way to do it. There’s a washbasin in front of the merry-go-round, with a large mirror. The sink has a cute droplet pattern. The provided amenities are free to use.
Coconut oil bath salts. Body wash towel. Hairbrush. Hair clip. Very sturdy. Razor. Cotton pads & swabs. Hair turban. Four toothbrushes, enough for the next day. Facial mask. Mouthwash. Individually wrapped skincare set. Cleansing oil, facial wash, toner, serum. Under the sink. There’s more. Bathmat. Face towels, hair dryer, hair iron. Bath towels. Pajamas.
Let’s take a bath. Wow, it’s pink! Clean and quite spacious. A pink chair and bucket. Fully equipped with shampoos and more. Two types of showerheads. The water pressure is too weak. The bathtub is big enough for two people. Apparently, room 301 next door offers a chocolate bath.
I’d like to try it next time. The mirror is connected to the internet and touch-operable. Amazing. The YouTube app didn’t work, but I could watch through the browser. Great for drying your hair while watching YouTube. The hairdryer is from SALONIA. These cats were really cute.
Please click the link in the top right to check out this video. By the way, where is the toilet? Hmm. Oh, found a door. Is this it? Eh, it’s outside! I didn’t expect it to lead outdoors. This must be the only other place… Wow, found another door.
Didn’t notice it when we came in. It’s a clean toilet. No lock. I’m also curious about the balcony-like area we saw earlier. It’s cold, but let’s go outside. There are a bench and chairs. Quite a few pedestrians pass by, and there’s a smoking area in front.
It’s a bit embarrassing to be seen here. Ah, there are donuts and bread on the floor. Can clearly see the hotel across the street – it’s really like a candy house. Let’s have dinner. It’s 24/7, but you need to order by phone, not TV. Pasta, omelet rice, fried chicken, steak, and more.
Limited-time menus are available, with a wide variety. The meal is left on the table at the entrance. You can receive it without facing the staff. Cheese meat sauce pasta: 890 yen (6.06 USD / € 5.57). Pasta buried under the cheese. Good! Butter chicken curry: 890 yen (6.06 USD / € 5.57).
Sweeter than expected. Thank you for the meal! I wonder if we can sleep in this chaotic room. Good night. “Hey there, good morning!” We slept well since no sunlight comes in. Morning curry: 100 yen (0.68 USD / € 0.63). Pizza toast: 100 yen (0.68 USD / € 0.63). Breakfast comes with a drink.
All meals including breakfast are at member prices. In Shibuya, all’s close, but such cheap breakfast is rare. Service menu. You can rent various beauty items for free. Hair styling products, skincare items, humidifiers, and more. Surprisingly, you can even rent a complete gel nail set. A hair iron is provided in the room.
It’s a 2-way hair iron by SALONIA. Great for morning prep. Love hotels are unique in that they offer not only overnight stays but also “rests” for a few hours. This hotel also offers short stays, if available. Mixing Shibuya tours with this hotel’s unique experience is a great idea.
When leaving, we need to use the stairs, not the elevator. Wow, we can hear the merry-go-round all the way here. There’s a payment machine at the first-floor door, where you pay at the end. Insert the room card received at check-in. You can use cash or credit card.
Once payment is complete, the door unlocks. It was a truly interesting experience. Thank you for watching. Please subscribe to our channel! And if you like it, please thumbs up. See you next time.

🐰18:17 The music from the merry-go-round was too loud. We didn't capture this part on video, but actually, we immediately went back to the room to turn off the music🤣

Fantastic karaoke song choice 😂
I've seen this hotel on the internet before, and I was wondering if it was as creepy as I imagined it to be. The sweets and stuff are cute enough, I like it. The merry-go-round… well, not for me, but I can see people- getting use out of it, I suppose… Why in the world is there a talking tree in that room though? That is just the creepiest thing I've ever seen, especially in an 18+ room.
Also I imagine neither the metrry-go-round nor the tree really make for a comfortable night sleep, but maybe I'm wrong about that. Personally I'm not sure I'd be able to do it, at least.
Still, it's cute for what it is, and I commend the creativity.
This is the definition of nightmare fuel 😂😖 its cool if it stayed as a concept but it alive the sweets part of isn't too bad if you don't mind waking up in the middle of the night to lollipops hanging off the ceiling and a creepy tree to greet you in the morning 😅 it almost like a fever dream. Glad ya'll were able to sleep well 💜 also that music is terrifying 😶
I usually chill to your videos. But this? This is on par with J-horror documentary-style films 😢 I hope you’re okay after that hotel stay 😅 Thank you for the hard work 🙇🏽♀️
I tiptoed around the Shibuya location. It was raining that night and the creepy tree with the moving eyes was greeting me outside😂
That merry go round has such rancid energy
We stayed at the Ruby one last April! Slept in a giant clamshell.
The houses remind me of the candy house of an old lady/child eater in one version of the german fairy tale of "Hänsel and Gretel". Wouldn't be able to sleep there or even get in to the mood to do the "love" aspect of the love hotel 😆
That’s some creepy room and with those music, it reminds me of horror game 😂
Questo posto è davvero incredibile, magari ci fossero dei love hotel così anche in Italia
Lmao at that merry go round. The song's eerie as well, instead of the classic lyrics "the more we get together, they happier we'll be" (about friends), the machine sings "the more we work together, the happy we'll be" (work song?). Too funny 😂 Whole place seems like a low budget love hotel take on the candy/cute art of Sebastian Matsuda 😆
メリーゴーランドの音の鳴り方が完全にホラーで聴くソレで戦慄した(°ω°|||
Those trees look like something out of Five Nights At Freddy's.
Very interesting hotel though… I wonder if diabetics have ever stayed there?
11:10 lol, "I want to get off Mr. Candy's Wild Ride"
sorry to say that… it's quite like a horror movie scenes HaHa
Looks creepy and cool
The room is super creepy in all the ways that can be use it
I don't normally watch the love hotel videos but the meme potential got the better of me. I can't say I was disappointed in the chaos that i saw. An… interesting setting for sure. I just couldn't imagine "having fun" with your partner as that creepy af tree stares at you while the merry-go-round from hell is turning you deaf.
Honestly if the hotel embraced how hilariously awful some of the aspects of it are I would watch another video of it lol.

丁寧な動画を感謝いたします🙏
旅に連れて行ってくれて、どうもありがとう…(⁎ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈⁎)
That tree opening its eyes freaked me out 😵💫
外観は可愛い😂
でもお菓子サービスがマカロン一個とカップ菓子だけか〜。
Этот номер мне показался очень жутким а не милым. Особенно дерево и карусель.
I wana go, but Id be to timid 😳👉🏽👈🏽
I would never be able to sleep with that tree there
ここ通った時気になってた
ラブホの内見ツアーなかなか楽しい
Actually the hotel is really cute but get rid of the Silly scary Tree in whole of the hotel, also its ok for me for merry-go-round but dont be too long. Set it each 1 minutes like coin operated one so 1 minutes per 1 click.
Or maybe if they want to keep the Tree, Get Redesign the tree with Brighter colour, and dont add any face and Talking feature again. Dont ever. Instead add cute animal like chibi rabbit so there is cute rabbit talking its far better than the creepy tree
결재안하면 문이안열려'죽겠네 오줌메려운뎅😢
Fawk no. Looks straight out of a horror movie.
I’m not sleeping in that room the tree gives me the creeps
Ya sweet night mare’s
ラブボYou Tubeであげる意味わからん。やりまくり女って言ってるのと同じ(笑)普通のホテルとかならまだいいけどラブボはないわ~
I see that LUNA SEA banner. 😀
I really laughed when you were so traumatised by the Merry Go Round Still going that you had to resort to unplugging it! I liked the tree But not the face in the bedroom and when it was animated it was terrifying! Loved the sweets and doughnut cushions but I really Loved that sink! It was gorgeous! Such a strange room, the juxtaposition of the very modern, quirky decor but then the really old fashioned style ceiling light was bizarre. I think it is the most unusual place I've ever seen 😮😂😂
That room was very scary,lol.
There seems to be a lot of bars, ramen, sushi restaurants near man only hotels, and dessert bakery near women only hotels.
