JW MARRIOTT NARA / NARA TOUR

The JW MARRIOTT HOTEL NARA, which we visited this time, is located in Nara Prefecture in central Japan. Nara is a 40-minute train ride from major cities Kyoto and Osaka. JW MARRIOTT is a 10-minute shuttle bus ride from Kintetsu Nara Station. I took the very famous train “AONYOSHI” from Kintetsu Kyoto Station to Nara.

The interior of the train is beautiful and luxurious. Please note that reservations are required. As soon as we left Kyoto station, we saw the pagoda of Toji Temple on my right. It took about 35 minutes to Nara.

As we approached Nara Station, we saw the Suzakumon Gate, the gate of the old capital, on the right. The two towers are the highlights of Yakushiji Temple. The East Pagoda, a national treasure, was built in 730 AC, and the original remains. Toshodaiji Temple was built about 1250 years ago by Ganjin,

Who overcame hardships to come to Japan from China to introduce Buddhist to Japan. Todaiji Temple is the most famous temple in Nara. It is famous for the Daibutsu (Great Buddha), but there are various halls in the spacious precincts of the temple. I stayed at the JW MARRIOTT Hotel NARA.

It is a new hotel built in 2020. It is the one of the highest class hotel of Marriott. Kadomatsu, a New Year’s decoration, welcomed me. The lobby was very stylish and in warm atmosphere with wood. The room was the most reasonable room with 2 double beds. It was bright, clean, and beautiful.

The washroom was spacious and easy to use. The bathroom was also spacious, clean and very relaxing. Here is the inside of the closet. There were scales, slippers, and a safe. The bathroom was also very clean. Here are the contents of the refrigerator. I had a cup of coffee from the coffee machine.

There were arts in the room and it was stylish. I loved the artwork featuring antlers. I took a walk around the hotel in the evening. There was a stylish Starbucks, which was relaxing. I came to the bar on the first floor because they offered free cocktails to gold elite members.

I had a mocktail. There was a live electric guitar performance. The deer art was very cool. I had a buffet breakfast at the Silk Road Dining. It was a very bright and open restaurant with high ceilings. This is the Japanese food corner Salad and ham corner Fruit corner
