【京都Vlog】女ひとり旅は四条河原町周辺と観光客に人気の祇園の花街を巡る京都大人旅😋Kyoto Vlog/京都旅行/京都スイーツ/京都おすすめ/京都グルメ/京都観光

YouTube automatic translation. Hello, I’m “TAKE-CHAN” and I travel to Kyoto. This time, on Setsubun Day, we took a look at how we enjoyed the Setsubun party while wandering around the town of Kyoto. We will slowly tour Kyoto’s sightseeing spots and recommended cafes.

I would be happy if you could subscribe to the channel and enjoy it as a reference for sightseeing in Kyoto! This time we will start from Shijo Ohashi Bridge and head south along Kiyamachi Dori. It’s nice that the big lanterns say “THE Kyoto”.

This area is dotted with popular shops, so it’s a great area for a walk! Today, I’m thinking of having lunch at a restaurant that’s a short walk from here. It’s still a new store so I’m looking forward to it, but today is Saturday. Is it crowded?

I don’t go out much on weekends and holidays because there are a lot of people there, but… I wanted to go to the [Setsubun Festival] today, so I came out even though it was Saturday! After my children grew up, I stopped throwing beans at home.

It’s too lonely to do it alone, so I decided to go to a place where they throw beans. I’m surprisingly lonely (lol). Turn left and go to see the view of [Kamogawa]!

The legend of the duel between Ushiwakamaru and Benkei “On the Gojo Bridge in Kyoto” is said to be at this [Matsubara Bridge]. It is said that the Gojo Bridge that used to span here was replaced with the current Gojo Street and called it Gojo Bridge.

Ah, you can see the snowy mountains in the distance! I get excited when I see snow. No matter how old you are, you’re still like a child (lol). Actually, the restaurant I went to for lunch after this was fully booked (lol). So, I quickly walked back to [Shijo-dori]. I’m tired (lol).

Onn is located about 5 minutes up Miyukicho Street. A Japanese cafe where you can enjoy Japanese sweets and tea. This is a new store that opened in November 2023. This shop is a renovated Kyoto townhouse that was built over 100 years ago.

The interior of the restaurant is a calm and sophisticated Japanese space. Beautiful Japanese sweets made with ingredients mainly from Kyoto are lined up. It seems that only about half the amount of sugar is used than usual. For Japanese sweets lovers, this is a divine cafe (lol).

It’s also fun to be able to choose your favorite matcha bowl. I was shown to a counter seat at the back of the store. There is also a sofa seat at the very back. The cute gourd-like lighting is also wonderful! [Warm Dainagon Zenzai] and [Organic Matcha Goka].

There are three types of mochi: white mochi, mugwort mochi, and millet mochi. The large azuki beans are Kyotanba Dainagon azuki beans. The matcha bowl I chose. Both red beans and black beans are large, very soft and delicious.

The gentle sweetness is a taste that is gentle on the body and can be enjoyed with peace of mind. I feel like I’ve had delicious rice cake for the first time in a while. What kind of rice cake do we eat at home? (lol).

I was able to relax and forget about time while looking out at the garden. Next time, I would like to visit this shop for some Japanese sweets. that? The last person was the one who entered the door wrongly. That’s happening a lot lately (lol).

While strolling through [Teramachi Kyogoku Shopping Street], I came to [Shijo-dori]. I arrived at [Shijo Dori]. Today, I’m planning to go to the Setsubun party at Rokuharamitsuji Temple in the afternoon! It’s my first time visiting Rokuharamitsuji Temple, so I’m really looking forward to it!

I still have time until [Setsubun party], so I would like to wander around Kyoto! Today, perhaps because it’s Saturday, I often see cute couples wearing kimonos. It’s good to be young, it’s wonderful to be young (lol). I have never worn a kimono for a coming-of-age ceremony, so I don’t have any.

Since I started coming to Kyoto, I started to see so many people wearing kimonos, which I thought was great! I think I’ll take a walk around Pontocho for the first time in a while. A long, narrow street that stretches approximately 500 meters from Shijo-dori to the south of Sanjo-dori.

It is one of Kyoto’s five geisha districts. Even during the day, there are shops where you can have lunch or have cafe time. It seems like there are only a limited number of shops that a woman can easily enter.

I come here often because I like the atmosphere, but I’m a timid person who mostly just passes by (lol). But just walking around makes me feel excited. We will be walking slowly, so please enjoy [Pontocho]! In a little while, we’ll reach the goal.

After this, the loud sound of the drums will begin, so be careful! I went out along the Kamogawa River. Taiko drum practice? Street live? BGM that couldn’t be better (lol). It’s been a while since I walked along the Kamogawa River. It feels so good!

Misogi River is a summer feature that you won’t even notice when the Noryo Yuka is installed. This is an artificial waterway that runs parallel to the Kamo River. Lined up next to this river are the shops of Pontocho, where we walked earlier.

That? There aren’t any ducks today, but have they left somewhere yet? It would be lonely if there wasn’t even one bird. After all, I’m secretly a lonely person (lol). I arrived at [Shijo Ohashi]. It’s Saturday so there are a lot of people. [Minamiza] is located right next to Shijo Ohashi Bridge.

After walking along the Gion shopping street, it’s time to head towards [ROKUHARAMITSUJI TEMPLE]. Gion Shopping Street is the approach to Yasaka Shrine. It’s a fun street that’s lined with Kyoto’s long-established stores, so you can’t help but stop walking.

There is a special feature on cafes around Gion and a video of eating while walking. I think it will be helpful when sightseeing around Gion, so please take a look! I’ve put a link at the end and in the description section. When you see the red-walled tea shop [Ichiriki], you are at [Hanamikoji].

Hanamikoji has no telephone poles and the sky is wide open, making it feel like you have traveled back in time. It’s a charming landscape that makes you stop and admire it. This is a spot I would like to visit someday wearing a kimono.

I can rent a kimono, so it’s an old lady’s dream (lol). [Hanamikoji] At the southern end is [Kenninji]. Kyoto’s oldest Zen temple. The highlight is the painting on the ceiling of the Dharma Hall, “Dragons.” [ROKUHARAMITSUJI TEMPLE] is located 7 minutes walk from here.

It’s right when you get to [Minatoya Ghost Childcare Ame Honpo]. We have arrived at [ROKUHARAMITSUJI TEMPLE]. There are about 50 minutes left until the [Setsubun party], but people are already gathering. I’m so cold that I can’t wait (lol). There is a [omikuji] for one person facing his back. Something hit me (laughs).

While I was waiting, I went to see the statue of Kuya Shonin, which I had always wanted to see. Since I can’t take a picture of the real thing, I’ve shown you a poster! This is a unique portrait sculpture in which six Amida Nyorai statues come out of their mouths. Too interesting!

It contained many important cultural properties and was worth seeing. [Setsubun party] has begun! There are also maiko and geiko from Miyagawa-cho. At [ROKUHARAMITSUJI TEMPLE], they say “Fuku Kakkome” instead of “Oni is outside, fortune is inside.” Ah, I can’t quite reach it (bitter smile). I managed to get lucky beans (lol).

At [ROKUHARAMITSUJI TEMPLE], it is said that not demons but earth spiders are chased away by bean-throwing and Rokusai Nembutsu. A spider web is on the chief priest’s head! ! ! (lol). It’s not the demon, but the Tsuchigumo that is leaving! This is the second [fukumame scattering].

A lot of people flew in. I wonder if there are as many as the number of years? (lol). When I was a child, I was jealous of my grandmother who ate a lot of fukumame. I’m disappointed by the reality that the number has now increased so much. It’s not enough (lol).

I got hungry after moving around a bit, so I took a break at a cafe! [GRAND MARBLE KYOTO] located in [Hanamikoji]. There is a cafe [Gion Chikara] on the second floor.

I was only able to take pictures of the walls because the place was full, but it was a very clean and nice store. [Matcha parfait]. Ahhh, nice catch (lol). [Coix barley cross-country] is about to fall. It’s delicious (lol). You have to start eating from the decorations. I forgot the basics (lol).

[Matcha ice cream] served with chrysanthemum flowers. Quite delicious. The matcha cream served with chrysanthemum flowers is also delicious. This [Yuzu sorbet] was refreshing and delicious. The parfait shiratama is even better served with ice! It also contains plenty of red beans and strawberries. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

It’s a stylish restaurant, and most of the people there were couples, but I highly recommend it (lol). Let’s explore around Gion a little more! I came to [Gion Shirakawa], a 5-minute walk from [Hanamikoji]. This is also a cityscape with typical Kyoto scenery. [Tatsumi Bridge] is a photo spot.

The rickshaw arrived in good time. She is a rare and beautiful woman. There is [Tatsumi Daimyojin] between the left road [Shirakawasuji] and the right road [Shinbashi Dori]. Let’s go around slowly! There are many restaurants along the Shirakawa River. This is a store that a woman traveling alone would not be able to enter.

I would like to go there, but unfortunately it would be out of place (lol). Shiraume in front of [Hakubai Restaurant]. It’s blooming beautifully this year too. Walk along [Shinbashi Street]. It is a very atmospheric and quiet street lined with tea shops. There are also popular cafes and sweet shops scattered throughout the area.

I’ve come full circle. [THE Kyoto]! I returned to the Shijo Kawaramachi intersection just after 5pm. I would like to hang around here until it gets a little darker. An aimless journey (lol). Head north along Kawaramachi Street. After all, I decided to go to [Pontocho] at night.

Today I would like to walk here to Shijo-dori and finish it off. [Pontocho] becomes even more enchanting when the lanterns light up. There are quite a few tourists. Surprisingly, the age group is much younger than me. There are videos of cafes and food around Gion that I shared along the way.

Most of the stores are within the range I walked today. Please take a look at the link at the end and in the description section. Also, we would like to inform you about the [Lunch Party & Sweets Party] that started from 2024.1. Enjoy lunch and sweets with “TAKE-CHAN”! This is the plan.

I’m going to Kyoto alone, but I can’t go into the shops alone! For those who say. I don’t know the store, so I want you to go with me! And. What kind of person is “TAKE-CHAN”? I want to meet you! (laughs) Please feel free to apply! Generally held on Tuesdays and Fridays.

This month it will be held on Thursday, February 22nd. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so I highly recommend it! The capacity for each meeting is up to 3 people. It would be great if we could create a community of people who love Kyoto! I think.

  1. 自分でリアルに歩いていると、人とぶつからないように気を使っていたり、目的地へまっしぐらだったりして全然景観を楽しんだりしていないのですが、お散歩動画は店構えだったり看板等をゆっくり見ていられるので本当に楽しいです😄
