河内国二宮恩智神社【桜の季節の八尾散歩①】大阪平野を見おろす恩智城址公園は桜満開、登録有形文化財萩原家住宅茶吉庵の古民家カフェ。みどころ沢山の八尾めぐり。
Hello. This is the “Chia’s Outing” channel where she travels hard without a car. This time, we will visit Kawachikuni Ninomiya Onchi Shrine in Yao, Osaka. I went during cherry blossom season. Kawachikuni Ninomiya Onchi Shrine of Utatsu Shrine and the Onchi Shrine overlooking the Osaka Plain with cherry blossoms in full bloom
A 250-year-old old folk house cafe from the Edo period. Enjoy Yao in a relaxed manner. The Kawachi region of Osaka is a region full of historic attractions, and I’ve been visiting many places recently. It’s a great place for a day trip from Osaka city.
Onchi Shrine is located at Onchi Station, 25 minutes from Tsuruhashi Station on the Kintetsu Minami-Osaka Line. There are many historical sites in this area, but I want to see the cherry blossoms along the river, so this time I will only go to Onchi Shrine. I walk towards the mountain.
Tenno no Mori, located along the way, is a Yayoi period ruin that is famous for being a tourist destination for Onchi Shrine. There is a monument from the Onchi Stone Age ruins, and Jomon-style pottery has also been unearthed in recent years.
To this day, various stone tools, pottery, and stone wares have been unearthed approximately 3 meters underground. This was also the case near Hiraoka Shrine in Kawachi Ichinomiya, which I visited a while ago, and it shows that it has been prosperous for a long time. The torii gate of Onchi Shrine came into view.
This is the intersection of Higashi Koya Kaido and Onchi Kaido. Higashi-Koya Kaido is the eastern road from Kyoto to visit Mt. Koya, and is given this name, but locals have called it Kyo-kaido because it is the road to Kyoto. The legs of the wooden torii gate are unusual.
The Onchi Highway runs from here through Akebono River to JR Yao Station, and is said to have been very busy during the Taisho era, as it is the road from Osaka to visit Mt. Shigi.
Onchi Shrine is said to have been founded in the Yuryaku era of the Yamato period (around 470), and was enshrined for the protection of the Kawachi province. It is one of the oldest shrines in Japan, and was later renamed Engishiki Uchimeishin Taisha. It is a shrine lined up.
After being rebuilt by the Fujiwara clan in the Nara period (Tenpyo Hoji), the spirit of the ancestor of the Fujiwara clan, “Amagoyane no Mikoto,” was returned from the current Katori Shrine in Hitachi Province, and a shrine was built
As a sessha. During the Hoki era, it was enshrined at Hiraoka (Hiraoka Shrine) and then Nara (Kasuga Taisha). Therefore, it is called Moto Kasuga. Turning here is Onji Castle Ruins Park. Later we went to see the cherry blossoms.
The deity of Onchi Shrine is that when Empress Jingu was on a conquest of the Three Koreas, our deity, together with Sumiyoshi Omikami, guided her safely through sea and land routes, served as the vanguard or rearguard, and assisted Empress Jingu. Due to this deity, she was honored by the Imperial Court at the time of the shrine’s founding. I was given Shichigo.
There is a cafe. Looks like we can have lunch too. We had lunch at Yukuru Cafe in front of the torii gate. It was very nice, so I will introduce it later. It continues to be quite uphill. The stone walls are truly magnificent. Almost there. I came to the stone steps.
You can see the cherry blossoms in the back. There is a monument dated 1977 that states that these stone steps were restored 650 years ago by the head of the parishioners, the head of the shrine.
The cherry blossoms next to the stone steps are beautiful, and the single cherry blossom branch overhanging the top of the stone steps has an elegant feel. The names of donors are engraved on many stone monuments. Before climbing the stone stairs, we went to see the cherry blossoms.
Is it a wild cherry tree? The cherry blossoms blooming on the tall trees stood out against the blue sky and were very beautiful. I had no idea what the monument was. You can see the view of Osaka Plain.
It’s easy to get here by car. The website recommended public transportation because the road from the torii gate was narrow. Well, I’ll try my best to climb again.
Onchi Shrine has been highly revered by the imperial court ever since the Sankan Conquest, and since it was visited in October in the winter of Emperor Jito’s first year (689), it has been visited by Emperor Shotoku (the 48th generation) and Tenpyojin Gokeiun in the second year (768). In 1999,
37 lands in Kawachi, Tango, Harima, Mimasaka, and Wakasa were allocated to the divine estate, and in October 850, Emperor Montoku (the 55th) was promoted to Seisanmi (Senior Third Rank) and Emperor Seiwa (the 56th). In the first year of 859, Jogan
Was conferred the rank of Junior Second Rank and then Shoichi Rank, and was given the title of Onchi Daimyojin, and was listed as a Meishin Taisha in the Engishiki and Meishincho.
After that, during the great droughts of Emperor Daigo and Emperor Murakami (Engi and 3rd year of Owa era), imperial envoys went to pray for rain, and it is said that these miraculous experiences brought them back to life. arrival.
Onchi Shrine’s Otoko Daipurai ritual (summer festival/purification festival) dates back to April 1994, when Emperor Ichijo was enshrined in the 5th year of the Shōreki era (994), when Mr. Nakatomi served as a missionary and offered a heihaku to pray for protection from plagues and other disasters. It has been.
According to the Sandai Jiroku, the shrine is called Shimoishisha. Kensui Shrine (Chihayaakasaka Village) is called Josui Shrine, and Migukurumitama Shrine is called Chusui Shrine, and all three shrines were worshiped by the Kusunoki clan.
Until the Meiji Restoration, this shrine was in charge of the Sarugaku performances of Nara Kasuga Shrine, and Kasuga Shrine dedicated Goto rice and some gold to the Sarugaku theater.
The shrine building was originally built in Tennomori (Gentongu Shrine), but during the Kenmu era, when Onchi Sakon was building Onchi Castle, it was considered disrespectful to have it above the shrine building, so it was moved to the current location on Mt. It has reached this point.
Rabbits are said to have guided the gods, and because they guide the gods safely, they have various benefits such as traffic safety, travel safety, and matchmaking.
Dragon has the benefit of guiding you to a happy life. Pray for the divine dragon in front of the main shrine, and pat the sacred seal held by the dragon in front of the shrine to pray for good luck, good fortune, and happiness.
In 2000, the shrine building with a flowing plover gable style was built. The architectural style of the main shrine is Oji-zukuri (a type of Nagare-zukuri), which is an extremely rare and valuable architectural style.
There are male and female rabbits lined up in front of the main shrine, so please pat them and pray for a good match. Kashihara Shrine Hall of Worship. At the back right of the precincts are the Eight Great Dragon Kings. A mantra is written. Rabbit here too. Ukon’s Tachibana.
I bought a rabbit omikuji because it was cute.
When Kukai (Kobo Daishi) (Konin era, around 810) visited our temple, he grieved at the lack of water for the food he was preparing for his meal, so he searched for water in a ravine and once dug a cane into the rock bottom. ), it is said that if you push it up, the sacred water will gush forth.
It is said that a scoop of this holy water can cure incurable diseases. Even today, this sacred water still gushes out within the temple grounds. It has also been known since ancient times as a source of clear water that predicts the weather, and is a mysterious well where reddish-brown muddy water flows out before it rains.
It offers a spectacular view from Yao City to Osaka. Inari Shrine. I turned left in front of the stone steps. Harizuka? It was commemorating 40 years as a Japanese judge. Go through the path between Kanno-in Temple and the stone wall to reach the stone steps.
The historic Onchi Shrine in Kawachi Ninomiya is popular as an auspicious shrine where both the zodiac signs of the Year of the Rabbit (2023) and the Year of the Dragon (2024) are located, but it is also a very relaxing shrine where you can
Enjoy the spectacular view from the top of the stone steps. It was a nice place. The view is good even from the bottom of the stone steps.
When you go to Onji Castle Ruins Park, you will see a mysterious view of cherry blossoms, Sotetsu, and night shops. At night, the locals gather and have a festival. Climb to the castle ruins. Cherry tree in full bloom. It feels kind of nice.
I’m sure the cherry blossom viewing spots are packed with people today, but I’m glad I was able to enjoy it so leisurely. I thought the brick gate looked nice, but it turned out that there was an elementary school there. The stone monument had the following text:
Onchi Castle was built by Onchi Sakon Manichi, a local ruling family, in the Middle Ages. The castle made use of the natural highlands, with a moat surrounding it and the Takayasu Mountain Range, offering a panoramic view of the Osaka Plain in front.
There used to be a small island in the moat, but it was the Ichinomaru castle, and the current castle ruins are called the Ninomaru ruins. In 1348, Masayuki Kusunoki was killed in the Battle of Shijonawate, and Onchi Castle fell. A new elementary school was built here during the student era, and it
Is now known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot. Although various buildings have been built, it is a landscape with a panoramic view of the Osaka Plain. The Sakura Festival is tomorrow, and today seems to be the eve.
When I looked online later, I learned that the festival was a great success with local people gathering. It was Saturday, when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, but there weren’t many people there, which was a bit of a waste. The play equipment is cute.
The stone walls are truly stunning and you will fall in love with them. When you see the torii gate and look a little to the left, you’ll see a stylish shop. It was closed, but it seems to be a recently opened homemade ham shop.
I passed the road on the opposite side of the road from when I came to Tenno no Mori. Now that I’m back at the Imperial Palace, I’d like to introduce an old folk house cafe where I had lunch before going to Onchi Shrine.
Yukuru Cafe is located in the Hagiwara family residence “Chakichian”, a 250-year-old Edo-period folk house and a nationally registered tangible cultural property. The area at the foot of Mt. Takayasu in the Ikoma Mountains in the eastern part of Osaka Prefecture is called “Yamanneki” by the locals.
Chakichi-an is a 250-year-old former Kawachi cotton wholesaler located in Yamanneki in the eastern part of Osaka Prefecture, and is the residence of the Hagiwara family, which was a staple of the area. The name of the Kawachi cotton wholesaler is Chaya Kichibei. For generations, he has called himself Hagiwara Kichibei (Chaya Kichibei).
In 2017, a project team was formed to preserve and utilize the building, and renovation began. In 2019, it began to be used in some areas, and in 2019, it was designated as a national registered tangible cultural property.
In the past, the Onchi Post Office was located at the Hagiwara residence. The room that was used as the Onchi station has been renamed the Yukuru Café, where you can tour the inside of the building, which retains many traces of the time, while enjoying not only coffee but also dishes made with local ingredients.
The area in front of the center of the cafe used to be a stable in the Edo period, a maid’s room on the second floor, and later became the center of the town in 1890 as a post office and a telephone exchange on the second floor.
The counter from the post office era is now used as a counter in the kitchen. The kitchen side of the cafe is where Hetsui-san was. It’s the kitchen. There is also a high ceiling and smoke vent. (Currently closed)
There are also several pendant-type Chakichian lamps in the store, which were made using the cotton spinning wheels found at Chakichian. The glass, glass windows, pillars, and large beams remain as they were back then.
Unfortunately, the front door was severely distorted and difficult to open and close, so we replaced it with a new one. but! The door that was removed now serves as the door to the toilet in the courtyard. The lunch set is 1,000 yen, and the one with snacks is 1,350 yen.
The door leading to the dirt floor in the middle of the cafe remains the same as before. Events sponsored include Chakichi Yose, Yamanneki Concert, Yamanneki Shogi Tournament, Chakichian Gallery, and Chakichian Culture Club. The main building, rice storehouse, and courtyard wooden deck terrace are used as rental spaces.
After seeing the shrine, I came here to eat some soft serve ice cream, and there were people having a barbecue. Idobata Machi Library. It seems that the well is used as a desk. I am very interested in the exhibition of the Takayasu Castle Ruins Warehouse Foundation Stone Group.
Next door is the former post office door’s restroom (former pickle storehouse), and the cotton storehouse next to the restroom is used as a storehouse salon. Following Hiraoka Shrine in Ichinomiya, Kawachi Province, I was able to visit Onchi Shrine, see the cherry blossoms, go to a cafe, and enjoy Yao at a leisurely pace.
After this, I went to see the cherry blossoms along the Nagase River. We will also introduce it in a separate video. I would be happy if you could also watch the video of Kawachikuni Ichinomiya Hiraoka Shrine. Thank you for your viewing. Please rate highly and subscribe to the channel.
