Bremen Walking Tour, Germany 🇩🇪 City Walk in 4K HDR (With Captions)

Hello Viewers. In this walking tour video I will show you the city of Bremen, Germany. Bremen is situated in Northern Germany and known for its rich history and culture. Today’s video will starts from the city’s main station. Inside the station you can find some shops and restaurants.

The transportation system of this city is well built and connects many major cities such as Hamburg, Hannover, Berlin and so on. In this video you will observe the city center, historic attractions, museums and Weser River. Now I’m getting out of the station. In front of me, you can see the Übersee-Museum.

The Übersee-Museum Bremen is a prominent ethnographic museum. It’s renowned for its extensive collections that showcase cultural artifacts from different regions around the world. This street is called Bahnhofstraße. This is a hotel named as Best Western Hotel. This windmill is called Die Mühle am Wall.

It was built in 1898. The mill originally served as a grain mill and was in operation for a long time until it was badly damaged during World War II. After the war, the mill was restored and has been a landmark of the city ever since. This sculpture is called Shepherd with pigs.

The bronze ensemble of a shepherd with his pigs is one of Bremen’s most popular open-air artworks. This street is called Sögerstraße and it is a famous street for shopping. On the right side you can find the famous watch shop Rolex.

Here you can find some famous shops such as Foot Locker, Depot, Jack&Jones and so on. You will also find some restaurants here. This church is called Church of Our Lady. This Romanesque-style cathedral has a rich history dating back to the 11th century.

Originally constructed as a small chapel around 789, it was later expanded and rebuilt several times, evolving into the magnificent structure it is today. Now I’m in the city center which is called Bremer Marktplatz. Surrounding the center, you will see many historic buildings, sculptures and monuments. This building is called Schütting.

Constructed between 1537 and 1553, the Schütting served as the guildhall for the city’s merchants and traders. Its architecture reflects the style of Weser Renaissance. This is the Bremen Town Hall. It has survived undamaged for 600 years, and has been on the list of World Heritage sites for ten years.

For Bremen, it’s a symbol of the independence of the city state and its citizens, and this autonomy has always been influenced by the city’s proximity to the Weser river and the sea. This building is the Regional Court of Bremen. It handles both civil and criminal cases.

It’s part of the German judiciary system, positioned below the Oberlandesgericht (Higher Regional Court) and above the Amtsgericht (Local Court) in the hierarchy. This street is called Ostertorstrasse. This is the Staatsanwaltschaft or the public prosecutor’s office of Bremen. Its primary responsibility is to investigate and prosecute criminal offenses within its jurisdiction.

The office handles various types of cases, ranging from minor offenses to serious crimes, and works closely with law enforcement agencies to gather evidence, question witnesses, and bring cases to trial. In front of me there is the University of the Arts Bremen.

Is an esteemed institution in Germany known for its diverse range of artistic disciplines. This street is called Marterburg. This is a famous street named as Schnoor. It is a picturesque area characterized by narrow alleys, charming houses, and a historical ambiance.

It’s one of the oldest parts of Bremen and is famous for its well-preserved medieval architecture. This is the Weser River. The Weser River runs through the city and has been a vital waterway for trade, commerce, and transportation for centuries. This church is called St. Martin’s Church. It was founded in 1229

St. Martin’s Church is renowned for its stunning architecture, especially its impressive twin towers, which stand tall in the Bremen skyline. The towers reach a height of about 97 meters (318 feet) and can be seen from various parts of the city. This place is called Martinianleger.

It’s a popular spot for both locals and tourists, offering beautiful views of the river and the cityscape. This street is called Böttcherstrasse. This is an iconic street which has many unique buildings. This is the House of Glockenspiel.

With its 30 bells of Meissen porcelain, the carillon chimes three times a day while wooden panels depicting pioneering seafarers and aviators appear on a rotating mechanism inside the tower. Here you will find many museums. Now I have come back to the Bremer Marktplatz. This street is called Obernstrasse.

This is also a famous shopping street of Bremen. Here you will find many stores such as Foot Locker, H&M, C&A and so on. This street is called Papenstrasse. You can find some good restaurants in this street.
