I am currently in Baisha Ancient Town(็ฝๆฒๅค้ฎ), Lijiang. Baisha Ancient Town is located in the north of Lijiang city, about 12 kilometers away from Lijiang Old Town.
The reason why many people like Baisha Ancient Town is that it is quieter with fewer tourists. The overall environment has retained more of its original ecology. There’s only one main shopping street, and many beautiful homes where the locals live. Look up and you can see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain(็้พ้ชๅฑฑ).
You can take your time to wander around the old town and see the mountains and the clouds.
Baisha Ancient Town (็ฝๆฒๅค้ฎ) is located in the northern part of Lijiang city, about 12 kilometers away from Lijiang Ancient Town, many people like Baisha Ancient Town is the reason that there are not too many tourists flow is quieter, the overall environment has retained more of the original ecology, where there is only a main commercial street, and there are many local people live in the beautiful courtyard, look up to see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain(็้พ้ชๅฑฑ), you can take your time in the ancient city wandering around, look at the mountains here with the clouds.

Though the place is old the structures are old but there is a
rhythmic way of life. The joyous people and their gala dresses are fantastic. Their animal loving gesture is nice.

Beautiful- and so many young women (and some men) posing in traditional clothes in front of the old houses! Do they bring their outfits with them for the visit? They also have their hair and make-up done so well. Other than that, the young people look the same as here in Belgium: puffer jackets or coats, hoodies and very wide denim trousers. Not sure if globalisation is a good thing, but adolescents worldwide want to belong and the way they dress is a huge part of that. I also have a question about the tie & dye: they only use blue (indigo) on white fabrics, is there a cultural meaning behind this? I'm thinking white for the clouds and the snow, blue for the sky and the water. And one last question: did you visit a town where people wear and/or sell those gorgeous hand embroidered and batiked clothes made by the Hmong or Miao tribes?
