【ソロハイク】河口湖駅からバスで行ける🚌大迫力の富士山と樹海が一望🗻紅葉台〜足和田山
Hello! Thank you for watching. Mt. Fuji is beautiful today too! Today I will go to the place around Lake Kawaguchi where you can see Mt. Fuji most beautifully and dynamically. I arrived at Kawaguchiko Station. To get to your destination, take the tour bus “Blue-Line” from Kawaguchiko Station to the Koyodai entrance.
From there, walk to the top of Mt. Ashiwada (Gokodai) via Koyodai Rest House. I was planning to go back the same way, but I didn’t have time so I took a shortcut down the mountain. It was a little dangerous, so I recommend going back the same way.
Take the “Blue-Line”. There are also “Red-Line” and “Green-Line”. The number of buses is very small, so be sure to check the timetable in advance. I recommend taking the bus that departs from Kawaguchiko Station at 9am. That is the mountain I will climb today.
I arrived at the bus stop at the entrance to Koyodai. There’s not much else around me than I expected, so I’m a bit worried lol. Then, I’ll walk to the trailhead.
This time I was finally able to record it on the mountain climbing app YAMAP for the first time! If I hadn’t used this app, it would have ended lol. On the left side is the parking lot for Koyodai Rest House, which is our first destination.
On the right side is “Koyodai Drive-in”. Apparently there is a restroom and snacks like “Hoto”. The road leading to Koyodai Rest House is well-maintained, but it is a gravel road with large stones rolling around. Let’s stop here, as cars with a low ride height may get scratched.
Also, since it is so narrow, it would be difficult if there was an oncoming vehicle. I have reached the first fork in the road. To the left is a mountain trail. There is a road on the right, but you can also walk.
I prefer to walk on paved roads if possible, so I walk on roads. Although it is not shown on the screen, you can always see Mt. Fuji. It feels so good. A building came into view.
If you take the road course, you will pass a little bit, so you will have to turn back. This is Koyodai Rest House. The inside of the store is quite old, but it is spacious. There was a menu for meals, but they didn’t seem to offer them. (I don’t usually know)
I think it would definitely become a popular spot if it were turned into a stylish cafe… Drinks are sold inside the store. Thank you. also have ice cream! Souvenirs with Mt. Fuji motifs are on sale. If you go to the observation deck or go shopping, you can use the restroom.
Here we go! Let’s go to the observation deck, which is the main purpose of today! Admission fee is 300 yen for adults and 200 yen for children. Cash only. Prepare a 100 yen coin. Oh oh wow! ! ! It’s still too early to be surprised.
Mt. Fuji is amazing, but the Aokigahara forest at its foot is also very impressive. You can see the snow-covered Southern Alps. It’s too beautiful…(Vocabulary) That’s Lake Motosu. It is the most transparent lake among the Fuji Five Lakes. A world I don’t know. I guess the view from there is space…
I don’t want to do anything dangerous, so I’ll never know. . . Part of West Lake can be seen. Lake Saiko can be clearly seen on the mountain road after this. I’m simply overwhelmed.
There are several view points of Mt. Fuji around Lake Kawaguchi, but this is by far the best place to see Mt. Fuji. There are also missions where there is nothing around, far from the station, and climbing a hill, so it has the advantage of not being crowded.
A must-see for anyone traveling to see Mt. Fuji. I’m sorry to leave you behind, but I have plans after this, so let’s go… Thank you, Koyodai Rest House! ! By the way, the madam who manages Rest House told us about the tourist attractions in the area!
I’m looking forward to planning the trip. I have one more hope to live 🥺 From here I will start climbing. If you don’t want to climb the mountain, go back the way you came. A spectacular view awaits you in the video, so please keep watching!
There are two types of mountain trails: a steep shortcut, and a gentle, detour route. Amazing nature… When I went on the wood-burning road, I passed Sankodai. I was wondering if I should go back… well, ha ha I can see Lake Saiko on the left .
Mt. Ashiwada has a reputation for being easy to walk, but personally I find it difficult to walk at all. In some places, the soil is brittle and sinks. Maybe it depends on the season? Lake Kawaguchi is now in sight! And the summit of Mt. Ashiwada (Gokodai) came into view!
I was taking a photo of this sign, but I was so overwhelmed by Mt. Fuji in the background that I don’t remember it.It’s 1355m above sea level. I have climbed 352m from the starting point! Lake kawaguchi is just below.
If you climb up to the observation deck, you can see even more from above. I think the trees are taller in the summer, so I came at a good time. There are chairs and tables so you can take a relaxing break. I wanted to have lunch here 😭 (I hadn’t eaten breakfast either)
The plan was to arrive at the summit at 1:00 p.m., descend Piston, and catch a bus departing from the Koyodai entrance at 3:06 p.m. However, since it was over an hour later, I decided to take a shortcut and go down the mountain to another bus stop.
I stayed too long at Koyodai Rest House lol At first, the well-maintained stairs went on forever and I just kept running down them. I wasn’t able to take any photos, but I hit a ridiculous slope on the way, so I carefully climbed down while crying 😭
It was really dangerous, as if I slipped a little, I would fall about 50m. It is definitely better to go downhill with the piston. I had prepared for this course, but I couldn’t find any reports that mentioned any dangerous parts. In the record, I am walking along the YAMAP trajectory, but
I may have slightly deviated from the mountain path. (The truth is unknown) The road is now in sight 🥲 This is the end of the mountain walk! This is deer gate. Be sure to close it when you open it! There is a restroom, but it cannot be used during the winter.
Walk to the “Ippongi” bus stop. I arrived at the bus stop. Tokai Nature Trail Information Board After walking this long, I will take a break at “81 Cafe” near the station. You can see Mt. Fuji from the store, but the blinds are closed 🥲
It’s very helpful that there is a power source. thank you. It’s my first meal today🥺 Itadakimasu! The view from the terrace seat. Take the express bus bound for Tokyo Station. Thank you for watching till the end! I would be happy if you could give me a high rating or comment 🌟
Have a nice day.
