Yeah let me I I wrote down this information it’s hard to understand all the information about culture and all kinds of different things here in Japan but suuban um is a Festival held on February 3rd uh each year to basically ward off evil spirits Misfortune and bad Health from the

Previous year and God only knows I need it cuz Vegas didn’t treat me well at all um so it says here it is from the old uh calendar of Japan uh literally means uh seasonal division hey elat how are you um so again it’s like the day before

Changing over for the end of winter over into spring even though it’s February 3rd spring ain’t coming anytime soon Dr Lincoln NFL boy Brandon long time to see you um so I did learn one thing today when I was researching this but setsubun has its origins in sua a Japanese custom

Introduced to Japan in the 8th Century in 76 um setsubun as we know it now though uh began in the uh marinucci marachi Maru I can’t even say it guys Maru Mai period which was in 1336 until uh 1573 uh also the Edo period um from 1603

Until 1889 or whatever it was uh they are actually the ones that started in that period started uh this Bean throwing which is royed soybeans by the way um which is called uh mam Maki um in Shinto shrines and Buddhists temples and uh I guess back in the Edo period also

Um You probably heard of ehomaki uh this big ass you know looks like a big ass sushi roll and uh they have um also uh it started off with gisha in the gisha district um in the Edo and Magi periods um where gisha would eat uh and

Ginsel line and the uh toou line uh you can come out this way there’s all kinds of different underground exits and stuff but this is basically you know what you’re going to be looking at uh there’s a Burger King hidden right behind the foam Booth over there we know that the

Golden poop is over there but today we’re going to head towards the shrine uh they did start around 10:00 but I’m going to take you guys down this way I just think this side looks pretty good hey John how are you um instead of showing we will walk around more of the

Areas I guess but uh you know this is uh one area I think it’s pretty cool these buses are pretty damn cool I like the red and black anyways Jesus Christ the second hello this is inside the station here so you can see the Ginza line um is

Straight downstairs it does connect out to the asakusa line further further down about uh underground tunnels you do have the echim the shopping area and then up this escalator here will be the toou line and as we come in here this is kind of like the uh the ticket offices for

Toou um where you know you’re going to get your uh limited Express tickets uh they have little ATMs here but don’t use those uh ticket machines over there and uh yeah we’re just going to walk up I want to walk up into the back way here

Day I will explain why but uh I’m actually going to this is funny cuz this is almost if indigo rose is still here almost a uh there it is that’s what I want right there I don’t like uh green tea so much but I’ve been drinking a lot

Of it lately for uh I guess for its health benefits um and uh well I’m told it’s healthier grab our change of course where’s my 10 Yen I need that 10 Yen man I need it and a nice little green tea it’s not as

Hot as I I thought it would be but let’s go find a ledge you got your mossberger here which I can’t stand and uh the Rick Shaw’s going all over the place I like this uh store here they call this the Japanese style rice sandwich and I think this looks pretty

Damn cool it’s a bit Unique Look at that those look really good actually instead of eating onigiri that is pretty cool they’re only like 450 y or so oh another vending machine but we are kind of on the back uh I guess uh Side Street area of oh

In this I’ve never seen so we might have to get that on the way back or something and uh they got the uh regular lemon drinks and uh milk and cocoa and stuff like that so all right let’s head over we are uh heading toward cji Temple um where

They supposedly be having their sets suban um Festival there might be a lot of people there might not be I’m not exactly sure what to expect ladies and gentlemen uh we might bump into other live streamers I think um the girl from with me Japan might be here and a couple

Of the other uh of her friends I think I saw I’m subscribed to her so I saw her notification pop up um who knows who who we will run into now this street here uh famously and I will say famously because I absolutely love it here in August this

Is where they do well they do or they used to do the um the uh you want to say hello hello uh they do the samba Festival you know so on and so forth she ran back with her mother yes black Tanger you are correct and uh yeah we are coming into

The nuts and bolts of asakusa look out for the ninja this is for Ramsey silent of course cuz he was never here ladies and gentlemen hate shoe stores cuz I just have such a big ass foot of course we got one hiding up there already so you never know there’s a lot

Of unique shops you know like a lot of people go along nakim Dory shopping and I do too but to see the all the side street shops uh is pretty cool you know you can see a bunch of foreigners uh Dressed Up which is nice you know

When you come to Japan I don’t know if you have the guts to uh you know dress up in yucata or kimono or you know men’s or women’s but it might be worth a shot you know like uh hey byou how are you I’m at a Marty Gro parade cool again

This is some of the the the side streets along the way here that’ll take us into the back end of uh s SOI Temple I’m going to turn down one of the side streets here in a second here where you can see all the Ninja up

The D fuku store and things like that so that is pretty damn cool Ramen Shop you got to like it when they got a freaking Dragon it has been said ancient times that that Dragon drool brings Good Luck quote from shivas Shiki or you know what he brings even

Even better luck is Drew drw just saying just saying so again you can see uh their their the kindergarten kids are throwing beans as they walk in and you can see all the beans on the ground here the roasted soybeans of course which is uh really cute this is actually a nice

Little uh restaurant area here too so that is pretty cool you can see there if you can see all the beans on the Ground but we’ll hopefully uh find some more action for you um I’m not sure what to expect up here but hopefully a lot of foreigners here which is a uh a good thing but yeah ladies and gentlemen uh I just want to let you know um you know if you

Stand everybody likes balls right Mike so I did expect uh some sort of a ceremony going on today oh I just see something over there’s a lot of food Styles Here guys looks like he’s got like a 3D uh camera going on there so they don’t have anything set up right now I thought they would uh they did say it started at 10:00 but it doesn’t look like it so I guess some of the uh the kindergarten kids have

Rushing around here right now I’m not sure as to why but usually they would have this whole area set up here um they would have it set up over there so I’m kind of lost in Tokyo ladies and gentlemen as to uh where the actual sets suban is going maybe it’s going to

Happen a bit later on but uh yeah enjoying the crowd enjoying uh seeing everybody dressed interesting kimonos and yukatas it’s always cool to be here always you can see they got the incense over the small little incense over there you burn it up and then of course you come over

Here uh that I want to uh bring your attention to and that is today is the last day obtainable in a year February 3D is the last day of winter in the traditional Japanese calendar called sets subang uh and in Tradition fuku Mame prayed beans are spread from inside

The house to outside then nothing bad will happen for a year and it’ll cost you 10 bucks now these things are about the size you know they have beans in the little bags uh people are here buying them to uh I guess prepare for later on

Zigzag through cuz it’s going to start getting really busy so I don’t know what the reception reception will be like but we will try you can see the uh the worker here he’s uh basically mixing everything everything up big ass fire going on inside there uh trying to

Contain everything as best as he can uh making sure you know the smoke is going on you can see in there that’s a lot of stuff going on inside there so this is pretty cool yeah I’m working on my sugars also awesome Jeremy you know I used to eat ice cream

Every night and I just cold turkeyed it so yeah we’re going to just walk around for a little bit and uh we will come back into this area in a minute well maybe I don’t want to leave yet beautiful area now down in this area again they do have more uh food things

As you all know or most of you do know anyways uh but it’s just nice you know like no matter where we are just to see uh all the people you know dressed up every all the tourists and foreigners uh and Japanese alike you know taking pictures and just enjoying a beautiful

Saturday here uh just give me one second here I’m just uh getting a little bit of a drink here as you’re looking at the uh the bagoda here or trying to look at it just a just a you know what amazes me is outside of asakusa it’s just a regular

City you know and then you have stuff like this so that is pretty cool swollen feet no no no no nothing uh of concern I’m going to put you guys down on the ground and give you a literally a street view as I have some uh green tea and the pigeon is walking

By ah damn that felt better as you know for uh a couple weeks now I’ve been having uh some tummy troubles so um you know it’s subsided now more but again uh just trying to take care of my health Lori says Drew giving up ice cream sounds tough but hope you feel

Better thank you um I do it’s uh it’s hard you know when I’m a a sweets lover and you go from eating like typically after dinner I’ll eat a sweet and now I’m not but that’s okay I want to make sure my tummy feels better so do not feed the

Pigeons takoyaki more balls mike always great to find balls always great to find meat on a stick now this is pretty cool I’ve never seen this no like sweets on a stick I guess dong little ducks all kinds of different things you got sweet sake it’s non-alcoholic of course yakis SOA which

To cut down on also but they got pulle fruit also China uh France America and Korean so this would probably a good place to uh check out I don’t like deep fried uh pasta just kind of weird to me hey to Thomas how are you now this is cool I’ve never seen this

It but you know maybe you know to have a good experience you might want to come to some of these local like I see brazed pork rice that is freaking yummy at 700 Yen that’s not a bad deal right kind of empty I don’t know if they’re open or

Not but all these little shops are absolutely amazing I I have shopped at a few every once in a while now this guy the owner of this store here I got into a fight with a long time ago uh for walking by and filming he didn’t like it as I’m

Pointing the camera at his store um I was actually trying to promote his store to shop at because he does have some pretty damn good things but then he starts yelling at me and and uh don’t film my store and get away You Foreigner

Think I I don’t know if it was during a live stream or I was just filming but uh yeah this guy’s a dick that’s why I’m pointing the camera at [Laughter] him all right five more minutes to hit 100 likes we got 106 people in the chat

Uh this here of course is Japan’s oldest and I mean oldest amusement park I don’t trust it I’ve never been inside here um the prices are 1,200 yen to uh enter six for adults 600 Yen seniors discount 600 Yen if you’re 65 or older um again physically disabled people are

Free four years and under are free and then you have to purchase the actual ride tickets inside the park itself uh I’m not sure um as to how much the actual tickets are but as we are walking on the outside here you know you can kind of see a little bit

Inside I don’t know if you can see much inside there oh okay that roller coaster I can handle it’s low to the ground freeze always best this has got to be the best post box ever well one of the best ones anyways love it love it and then attached so the

The the amuseum park is all in this area here as you come to the other side though an amazing setsuma why am I even trying to speak Japanese uh imasu Japanese sweet potato sweet potato chips sweet potato tart sweet deep fried sweet potato that’s yummy actually sweet

Here this used to be a Fugu uh restaurant they changed it probably about five or six years ago and we’re going to cross nakam Dori one more time here I will say one thing thatth when you do come to sakusa especially living in Japan um you do hear a lot of

Chinese uh visiting here uh and Europeans so um it’s kind of cool you know as I’m walking around hearing all kinds of different languages Korean not so much but sometimes you can see nakam dor that’s why I’m skipping it cuz it’s packed and I just don’t want to be uh going past

That right now we are not eel fans either don’t like the texture yeah I think that’s more what it is Jim and Harriet is I don’t like the texture I can eat fish but it’s the uh I I think it’s more of the texture than anything it’s kind of soft

Good Fabrics or some good uh you know yukatas or you know whatever you are looking for um they do have you know I can just see a bunch of fabric in the back here along with the yukatas and uh kimono making and you know yada yada yada you just got to

Explore you’re not a fan of the saltwater eel Re and I think the biggest advice I can give anybody is know where you are uh in asakusa you know know what restaurants uh you know research see if there’s other people that have made videos on certain restaurants you can take a chance and explore um as an example

Would I come to this ramen restaurant uh it’s on the main area here probably not just not my thing uh I would probably if I want to eat ramen probably go to a Ramen Street on the a Ramen Street a Ramen place on the the back end of the

Streets you know somewhere back in these areas um just local areas in the tourist area but not on the main oh is Hank’s sister oh well welcome thank You again you will see a lot of these places no cameras I don’t I don’t get the whole no camera thing see even if I didn’t have a camera or a gimbal in my hand and I see a sign saying No cameras it’s just not going to

For 20 bucks not too bad bad this curry with uh tonkatsu and uh ALU rice that’s actually pretty good too but it does look pretty damn cool and it’s very old inside again the tables are probably back from the 50s so it’s a good experience a lot of old people eat
