【東京観光】超楽しい!ハリーポッタースタジオツアー東京の見どころ・アクセス・予約方法・映画の豆知識を一挙紹介!|HarryPotter
This video has subtitles. Hello, this is Yuyu Tabi couple. I tried to make the opening a little different from my usual videos. This time, I came to the “Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo: The Making of Harry Potter” in Tokyo, Japan.
We introduce a lot of trivia that you should know before you go and the charm of the facility, so please use it as a reference when you visit. Well then, let’s go to the magical world of Harry Potter! good morning! Where are you today? You have arrived in the world of magic.
I’m here for “Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo: The Making of Harry Potter.” This facility opened on June 16, 2023 on the former site of Toshimaen. It’s been about half a year since we opened, so it’s been a while. Harry Potter is currently experiencing a resurgence in the world.
In Japan, temporary Harry Potter goods shops have recently opened in various places. This facility is a walk-through facility where you can discover behind the scenes of the Harry Potter movies and the secrets of the magical world. Yumi loves Harry Potter.
2 minutes walk from Toshimaen Station on the Seibu Toshima Line or Toei Oedo Line. It takes about 40 to 50 minutes from Tokyo Station. If you are driving, you will need to reserve a parking spot when purchasing your ticket.
It costs 1,800 yen per day, so if you can come by train, we recommend taking the train. In conjunction with the opening of this studio, Toshimaen Station on the Seibu Toshima Line has been transformed into a Harry Potter-themed station and train.
You can immerse yourself in the world of Harry Potter even before entering the venue. Tickets must be reserved in advance and can be purchased by specifying the date and time from the official website.
There is no limit to how long you can stay once you enter, so if you want to stay longer, we recommend purchasing a morning admission ticket. However, if you want a Saturday morning ticket, you can’t make a reservation until about two months in advance. If you decide to go, make a reservation early.
Now let’s enter. There will be a security check on your belongings before entering. There is a cloakroom to the right of the entrance where you can leave your coats, bags, and suitcases for free. There is a digital guide reception desk to the left of the entrance.
You can rent it for 1300 yen per person. Recommended for those who want to know more about the exhibit, but if you know the story you can enjoy it even without it. Inside map. It’s a very large facility. If you go straight from the entrance, you will find yourself in a large space.
That’s amazing! Excited! Look look! This food court is modeled after the Great Hall at Hogwarts. Since the tour start time is approaching, I hurry to the tour entrance. As soon as you enter the entrance, you will immediately see oversized panels showing movie scenes and filming scenes from each series.
It makes you feel better. A waiting area with a large number of movie posters from all over the world. At the waiting area here, we will issue you a QR code to use on the rest of the tour. A staff member will guide you.
After receiving a tour explanation (no photography allowed), the tour begins! 3, 2, 1, welcome to Hogwarts! The moment the door opened, there was applause. The soldiers on the left and right are smaller than I expected. “Piertotum Locomotor” Yumi’s favorite spell, and the spell cast by Professor McGonagall in the 8th movie.
The Hogwarts Great Hall set is exquisitely crafted down to the last detail. It is modeled after the Great Hall at Oxford University. The floor is made using the same stone used on movie sets. 4 Dormitory uniforms. The way each person dresses is slightly different. There are life-sized Hogwarts teachers.
When Richard Harris, who played Dumbledore, was asked to star in the first movie, he turned it down because of his age. However, there is a story that Harris’s granddaughter told her that she would not speak to him if she refused, so she decided to appear on the show.
If it weren’t for his granddaughter’s words, Professor Dumbledore might not have been so kind. Moving marble stairs. This scene is exciting to watch. In fact, only a portion of the “moving stairs” that appear in the work were made as a set. Most of the shots are taken separately using miniature models.
A set of moving stairs has been reproduced. The people depicted in this moving painting are members of the film’s staff. We can actually enter the moving portrait. You can choose the background. Should I use this as the background? I need to move. It’s acting suspiciously, but I’m looking forward to seeing what happens.
Where is it? Oh, it was there. There are people dancing. LOL What are you doing dancing? I should have just pretended to cast a spell. Yumi was the only one dancing. Hogwarts dormitory exhibit. It’s a strange feeling to see a scene you’ve seen in a movie right in front of your eyes.
I came to experience Quidditch photography. This is an experience corner where you can enter a scene from Quidditch. The Japanese travel trend for 2024 is interactive. This experience is truly an interactive one. This is how the audience performs according to the staff’s shouts. Composite with real footage.
The resulting video data can be downloaded. A scene where the four major magic schools appear in the fourth work. Victory cup. Favorite scene. Pensieve is a water basin where you can store and express various thoughts and memories. The movie is highly reproduced. Professor Dumbledore’s headmaster’s office.
There are so many portraits displayed in the principal’s office. These portraits are of the past Headmasters of Hogwarts. Everyone closes their eyes. I like the scene with the phoenix and Dumbledore. The actors who appeared in Harry Potter took their wands home with them after filming. Daniel, who played Harry, often broke his wand.
The costumes of the main characters are lined up. A classroom of magic medicine that appears in the 6th work. You can imitate mixing magic potions. A former teacher of dark magic. Mirror of the slit. What came out of my pocket was a pair of gloves I bought for 500 yen.
At the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, you can try out lessons using a wand. I don’t have a cane, but I’m participating! Pretend to be a magician. fun! However, in the second half of Harry Potter, he uses magic without chanting spells.
Like the one with Dumbledore’s water ball at the end of the fifth film. Yujiro loves this scene. Death Eater has appeared. There is no one other than Yujiro who speaks in such a loud voice. You can have fun practicing magic. The Death Eaters left safely.
The one who doesn’t have a cane is the most excited. Finally, I met that person. Horcrux. Go to the Forbidden Forest. Wow, the reproducibility is amazing! The floor is soft. It looks like a real forest. Peek back and say hello. The flying car that appeared in the second movie.
In the Forbidden Forest, you can experience summoning a Patronus. Yumi’s guardian spirit was a horse. I came outside. Hagrid’s house. Hagrid’s house was filmed as two houses, a large one and a small one. The reason is to highlight Hagrid’s size.
When filming with Hagrid, a small house was used, and when filming inside the house, a normal sized house was used. You’re the kind of person who can’t clean up with Hagrid. I guess I’m the type of person who can’t throw things away. There is a cafe about halfway through the tour.
I have butterbeer. I wonder what it tastes like. “BUTTER BEER BAR” is located in the middle of the tour. You can drink Butterbeer, which is popular in the world of Harry Potter, in an open space. It smells very sweet. You can take this glass home as a souvenir. copper? Is it bubbling?
It’s on your lips. The foam part has a caramel-like taste. Below the bubbles, it tastes like apple juice, but the bubbles have a strong sweetness, making it a very sweet drink overall. I also drink Yujiro. I don’t think the butter tastes that great. Does it have a strong milk flavor?
The one below is probably carbonated apple juice. I think people who like pudding will like it. However, I don’t think it tastes like much butter. There is a place to rinse the glasses with water, so wash them lightly before taking them home. There is “BACKLOT CAFE” near Butterbeer Bar.
If you want to eat during the tour, we recommend eating here. The decoration inside the restaurant was cute. We are entering the second half. The Knight Bus from Prisoner of Azkaban. I love the night bus scene. This bus appears to have been dismantled from a double-decker bus and converted into a three-decker bus.
Do you want to ride? The inside has also been faithfully reproduced. Worked at the Ministry of Magic. Number 4 Privet Drive. A scene from the Dursley family is faithfully reproduced. This is the storeroom where Harry spent his childhood. I don’t cross my legs like that. Platform 9 3/4 Hogwarts Express.
The high degree of reproducibility will make you excited. Oh, check it out! Take a commemorative photo with the cart going into the wall. The Platform 9 3/4 scene was actually filmed at King’s Gloss station in England, but was filmed on platforms 4 and 5. You can go inside the Hogwarts Express.
The interior is similar to the inside of a car. What what? Frog chocolate! One scene from each series is recreated in each seat. There is a “Railway Shop” right next to the Hogwarts Express. There are a lot of Harry Potter goods. This shop sells many train goods.
Yumi’s favorite is this tea light holder. We also sell walking sticks. If you want to walk around with a cane, we recommend purchasing one here. You can purchase the familiar Hogwarts admission letter set from Philosopher’s Stone.
When you write down your actual address and drop it in the mail, you’ll feel like you’ve just received your admission letter from Hogwarts. You can fill it out at the address under Harry’s stairs. Ministry of Magic area. This is the area that personally impressed me the most.
Experience working at the Ministry of Magic. A career woman going to work. By the way, you can take a video like this. Here, Dumbledore fights Voldemort. Yujiro’s favorite scene is the scene where Dumbledore manipulates the water ball. Next is the Diagon Alley area.
I was surprised at the high degree of reproduction for each store. It really feels like you’ve stepped into a movie. The reproducibility of the store is high. I guess they were preparing for school in this alley. It’s too much fun. The final exhibit is a model of Hogwarts Castle.
It’s amazing how detailed it is. Hogwarts Castle was designed with reference to prestigious British universities such as Oxford University and Cambridge University. Is that a botanical garden? It’s hard to get the whole picture in a movie, so it’s fun to watch it while thinking about where that scene in the movie took place.
I’m sure there are some places I won’t go to before I graduate. As time passes, it changes to its night appearance. The feeling of being illuminated is very realistic. Near the exit is this room lined with cane boxes.
The names of everyone involved in Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts are written on the wand box. In a movie, it’s the end credits. Thank you for creating such wonderful works! The exit leads to the souvenir shop.
There are also limited edition goods that can only be purchased here, so be sure to check them out. I was surprised at how authentic the decorations in the souvenir corner were. I’ve been to other Harry Potter shops so far, but this is the largest one. Wow, so nostalgic. It’s the original book.
When the Harry Potter books were released when we were in the early grades of elementary school, we were too young to read such a thick book. Still, a surprising number of elementary school students read Harry Potter books. Yumi doesn’t look like a Slytherin. I think Hufflepuff looks good. Yeah yeah, it suits you!
In addition to robes, accessories such as ties are also provided for each of the four dormitories. I returned to the main lobby. Finally, we will have lunch at the food court. Since it was lunchtime, there were a lot of people in the food court. There are two shops in the food hall.
“FROG CAFE” is on the left in front of you. Sweets are mainly sold here, as well as Hagrid’s birthday cake. Next to it is a food hall inspired by the Great Hall at Hogwarts. They offer British dishes such as fish and chips, pizza, and roast beer salad.I ordered
The pork rib plate and the 9 3/4 line all-day breakfast. You’ll feel like you’re having lunch in the Great Hall at Hogwarts. Eating at Slytherin’s desk. Ah, it’s delicious. Similar to McDonald’s barbeque nuggets. His face is grim when he eats. I think yujiro is my absolute favorite. This is no ordinary bread either.
There aren’t that many Harry Potter-like foods out there. Honestly, if you’re paying the same price, it’s better to eat outside. But it’s worth it to eat in this atmosphere. I’m glad I came. I thought there would be more people. Depending on the area, there were places that were almost reserved.
The first time in the morning is recommended as you can avoid the crowds. I thought this was bread, but it’s actually potatoes. Thank you for the meal! I finished it beautifully! How did you like the Making of Harry Potter? I’ve come full circle. It was a much more interesting facility than I expected.
Yumi loves Harry Potter, but I’m not that big of a fan. Still, it was a lot of fun! It was interesting to learn about the behind-the-scenes aspects of filming a movie. I arrived at 9am and it’s now 1:20pm.
I had a leisurely lunch and was able to complete the trip in about 4 and a half hours. We think we can get around quickly, so if you want to take your time to see the exhibits, it’s a good idea to estimate about 6 hours.
It’s a facility where you can spend a whole day. Also, there are many spots where you can take photos, so I think it would be more fun to bring a cane and robe. Why not buy it as a memento? You can enjoy it even with a finger cane!
Everyone is welcome to come and experience the magical world. If you found this video interesting or helpful, please give it a high rating and subscribe to the channel. Thank you for watching until the end.
