In this walking tour, we have a look at one Osaka’s most popular suburbs among tourist and locals to visit, and one of my personal favourites when visiting Osaka, Shinsaibashi!
Shinsaibashi or also known as ‘America-Mura’ is the more laid back, foreign inspired part of downtown Osaka City, largely influenced by American culture.
As such, the street are filled with things not typical to Japanese Culture, like graffiti, American clothes and shoe brands and other small start up shops. The centrepiece of this suburb is Triangle Square, positioned in the centre of the shops making it a popular gathering point and is often a highlight during events such as Halloween!
