“The wood duck is a small duck just slightly bigger than a pigeon that nests in trees. They are also a beautiful species with their flashy colors. Laying at water level, I watched these ducks swimming and interacting in a pond. I watched and waited to photograph the birds in action. After taking a bath or preening their feathers, they almost always flap the wings like this male duck to shake off water and stretch. This is one of my favorite poses!” #MyCanonStory
