【奈良】大迫力と胸キュンが入り混じる古都散歩!笑顔になるグルメと穴場の展望台も発見!

Hello, I’m Shie! I went to Nara the other day. Enjoy tourist attractions and gourmet food! We hope this will be helpful for your Nara trip or outing. Please take your time to watch until the end. As you walk around Nara, you can see deer everywhere. And lots of real deer appear!

When you look closely, you can see all kinds of expressions and it’s so cute❤︎. It seems that if you eat something, you can become popular with deer♪ I’ll look at the deer later, but I’ll go eat lunch right away! I came to Gyumabushi Miyama for lunch.

This is a restaurant that mainly serves gyu-mabushi. I decided on this! I’ll wait while drinking hot tea. I received what I ordered! S size (1,540 yen) of braised pork & beef shigure set. In addition to condiments, it also comes with narazuke, pickles, and dashimaki eggs.

My husband ordered the regular beef shiguremabushi set (1,870 yen). Well then, let’s eat. Looks delicious with lots of meat! I’m very happy with the braised pork ❤︎. First of all, I will eat it as is. Next, top with condiments and eat. Next time I will eat beef shigure too.

You can enjoy it in three ways: enjoy it as is, change it with seasonings, or eat it quickly with dashi soup. The tender, sweet and salty meat is the best. It was also good to be able to enjoy two types of pork stew and beef shigure.

Although I was surprised by the alcoholic taste of Narazuke, I was happy to be able to taste Nara. I also ate the dashimaki egg, which had a gentle taste. Thank you for the meal. Now that my stomach is full, I would like to head to Todaiji, a world heritage site.

There are many deer on the approach! They also sell deer rice crackers, so everyone is looking for them❤︎. It looks like it would be fun to feed deer rice crackers! There are also many deer that bow. So cute ❤︎. Her butt is cute too❤︎.

We arrived at the South Gate, located in the middle of the approach. This is the main gate of Todaiji Temple and is designated as a national treasure. In front of the Todaiji Museum, there was a life-sized replica of the Great Buddha’s hand. its big! The middle gate came into view.

There is also a pond and a calm atmosphere. Turn left here and walk in the direction everyone is going, and you will arrive at the entrance. The admission fee is 600 yen for adults, and payment can only be made in cash. Then, let’s go see the Great Buddha!

After purchasing a ticket and walking along the corridor, I came across the Great Buddha Hall (a national treasure). So let’s go in. We arrived right in front of the Great Buddha Hall. It is one of the world’s largest wooden buildings. You can meet the Great Buddha the moment you enter the building.

It is about 15m high and is very large. You can worship from various directions. There was a crow tail on the roof of the Great Buddha Hall. It looks small from a distance, but it is really big when you see it up close.

This is what it looked like when I looked at the Great Buddha from directly behind. I went around the Big Buddha. There is a hole in the pillar here, so the children could easily pass through it♪ It seemed difficult for adults!

I came out from the Great Buddha Hall. The magnificent Great Buddha was truly amazing! Now let’s move on to the next destination. I’m heading there for a little walk. It’s a little cold, but the weather is nice and comfortable. There is also a deer on the bus ❤︎.

What a calm atmosphere. I feel like I’m going to get sleepy too… I love this space between the trees! A tree appears and when you turn to the left… Arrived at Nara National Museum (west side). This is a historic museum that opened in 1895 and is designated as an important cultural property.

This is the first Western architecture built in Nara Prefecture, and it is dignified and very cool! As you walk along the short walk, your next destination is just around the corner. The building you can see over there is the Nara Prefectural Office.

Apparently there is a free observation deck on the rooftop, so let’s go! Sentokun will welcome you ❤︎. We arrived at the rooftop! It’s open and has a great view. You can see Todaiji Temple, which we visited earlier, and Mt. Wakakusa. This is the best observation deck with a 360 degree view.

When I turned around, I could see Kofukuji’s five-storied pagoda and Chukondo. What a luxurious view! Go look in another direction. From here, you could see Mt. Ikoma in the distance. Let’s take a look at the Kofukuji Temple mentioned earlier through a telescope (free of charge).

I could see the end of the five-storied pagoda so clearly! It was a great observation deck that is a hidden gem! I’m going to the cafe soon! I came to Kintetsu Nara Station. I will enter the Higashi Muki shopping street.

I came to Yamatocha Daifuku GRANCHA, which is right after entering the shopping street. There was a cafe at the back of the store. What I ordered was the jewel Mont Blanc and drink set (1,810 yen).

A very nice and delicious Mont Blanc made with Yamato tea cake topped with 4 types of paste! It’s surprisingly big when you look at it up close. From left to right: Yamato Hojicha, Yamato Matcha, Japanese Chestnut, and Purple Sweet Potato. I want to watch it forever and ever… It’s truly a gem ❤︎.

This is the kabusecha and kofuku mochi set (710 yen) that my husband ordered. Kuchifukumochi has a strength of 5, and is said to be “probably the darkest matcha daifuku in Japan”! Now, let’s eat in order from the right!

Inside the colorful, fluffy paste is homemade Yamato tea sponge cake. The dish is accented with nuts. The base for the Japanese chestnuts and hojicha is a Yamato Hojicha cake, and the base for the Yamato Matcha and Purple Sweet Potato is a Yamato Matcha cake.

I really enjoyed each of the four flavors, and it was delicious without being too sweet. I want to eat it all by myself! I also shared some with my husband! The set drink I chose is Yamato special selection Kabuse Sencha. This tea is grown in a shaded area protected from direct sunlight.

Pour the hot water from the bottle into the teacup, and then pour the hot water into the teapot. Wait 1-2 minutes for the first cup, and about 30 seconds for the second and subsequent cups.

The first cup is so full of flavor, it’s like drinking dashi soup! As I kept repeating it, the taste gradually became more and more refreshing. It was a delicious tea time, thank you for the meal! On the way home, I saw a very impressive squeezing scene!

The sun is starting to set, so it’s time to head home. There were so many deer, but almost all of them are gone, which makes me feel a bit sad… I would like to go see deer again soon.

That’s it for Nara Vlog. I was able to fully enjoy Nara for the first time in a while! If you liked this video, I would be happy if you liked and subscribed to the channel! This time’s souvenir is “Shinroku monogatari”. It was 615 yen for 3 pieces.

It is a sweet that was created with a legend as a motif. This is what it looks like from above. This is what it looks like from the side. We use persimmons and honey from Nara Prefecture. When you cut it in half, the cross section looks like this. Well then, let’s eat.

Inside the monaka, there is a milk bean paste with a gentle sweetness. Accented with Yoshino persimmons and almonds. It was a stylish and cute sweet made of pure white deer. Well then, thank you for watching. See you again in the next video.
