A Tour of the Inami Service Area/ 印南サービスエリアに行ってみた！
Hello everybody and welcome to inami city in wakayama prefecture and today we are visiting the service area the inami service area which is located about 30 minutes just north of shirahama in wakayama so if you take the highway from Osaka Southward down to ashirahama you will pass right by this so this is
One of the three surface areas the other is in a kishiwara and kinokawa and this is the third one just before shitahama it’s called inami service areas so as you can see it’s pretty small and simple it’s almost like a convenience store but it is a service area you can see uh
The parking area here there’s a smoking area right here and they do have a restaurant inside so let’s go in and check it out walk around let’s see what they have you can see here they’re advertising hidaka the special local Goods they’ve got a vending machines here with all the drinks
So let’s go in and check it out no pets are allowed is this the stamp no there it is Nami Village I guess here’s the stamp so if you’re going on a stamp rally visiting all the service areas right here it is there’s the stamp you put your paper there use the ink
And Stamp It all right so here’s the restaurant and we actually have eaten here before you can see they’ve got a different types of noodles and Curry and I’m in and then also some soba and udon and I think the last time we came here we had the tantan men
Which is here which is a little spicy but really good 800 Yen or about eight dollars so you just buy your ticket here at the machine get your ticket take it over there and they’ll make it fresh for you and then they’ve got tables where you can just sit and enjoy your lunch
Or dinner So as always they’ve got uh souvenirs and local Goods looks like we got some Belgian chocolate here some chocolate cake from Osaka plenty of uh cold drinks here tea juice and CDs if you need a CD for the road you can get it here and lots and lots of snacks potato chips chocolate
And more local souvenirs from wakayama of course uh Adventure World is located in shirahama and this is the panda so the pandas live there at Adventure World so lots of a panda themed souvenirs here from wakayama pandas and Mikan everything is Mikan here in wakayama see more panda themed
Looks like cookies I guess a dusk and they got Nikon here chocolate shimi maybe a vanilla maple sugar caramel lots and lots of souvenirs so this area is called kishu the traditional name of wakayama is kishu so you’ll see that name a lot here you can see here kishu Nang kome
These are rice crackers with uh shrimp flavor an ice cream which we may or may not get and they do have soft serve ice cream there Royal vanilla flavor and a little bit more here and wakayama ramen is really famous you can buy that here as well
So this is it this is the service area and of course there are two surface areas there’s one on the southbound side and one on the Northbound side this is the southbound and from what I’ve read online the Northbound is a little bit bigger maybe a little nicer here’s some local vegetables
Just one dollar it’s uh cucumbers looks like potatoes and onions and eggplant between one and two dollars it says please go inside to pay so it’s kind of on the honor System here you could easily pick it up and run out the door it’s like garlic yeah some garlic more vending machines ice
Cream coffee and cold drinks they have some benches here and yeah places to throw your trash they got uh some information here they’re talking about the coronavirus here within the toilets they actually have automatic doors this is Nishi Nihon Western Japan Mexico is the company that runs the highways
Here in Western Japan you can get some uh information about traffic jams and construction things like that I don’t know if you can see it with the reflection we’re right here and we’re headed south further south down here to uhama and accessible restrooms and the women’s restroom
Really that’s about it there we are there’s the parking lot again got a few benches over here I saw a lady over here with her dog earlier there’s no dog run but I guess you could walk around with your dog in this area if you want
And then uh just right over there is uh the area for charging your electric vehicle if you have that so there it is it’s pretty simple one of the smallest surface areas I’ve been to it’s more like a parking area which has less amenities and things like
