Riding into a HAILSTORM in KYRGYZSTAN! šŸ‡°šŸ‡¬ [S5-E35]

Cup of tea this morning. Don’t mind if I do.Ā  Thank you so much. Good money world. WelcomeĀ Ā  back to our circumnavigation around theĀ  globe by motorcycle. Bumblebees over there,Ā Ā  just chilling, and we’re here in the town ofĀ  Kazarman in Kyan. We had yesterday, actually,Ā Ā

A rest day because after this really, reallyĀ  long, long exhausting dirt road, climbing up,Ā Ā  up, up. Yeah, climbing, climbing. Wow,Ā  oh wow, these are all bees. Oh my God,Ā Ā  the stupid mudguard screw is gone again.Ā  We didn’t feel like continuing the nextĀ Ā

Day. We had the luxury of just taking a dayĀ  off. But today, it will be a crazy day. It’sĀ Ā  time to head back into the mountains. So letĀ  me show you guys where we’re heading today. So we are here, and today we’re going to beĀ  taking this little road over the Kama PassĀ Ā

To reach the city of Jalalabad. So our adventureĀ  in Kyan is about to get even more crazy than theĀ Ā  last couple of rides because today we’re headingĀ  to the highest pass that we’re going to take onĀ Ā

So far. And yes, it’s all a dirt road. This passĀ  is actually open for only three months of the yearĀ Ā  because it’s so high, but luckily we’re here atĀ  just the right time that we can take it on. ButĀ Ā

On the map, it looks absolutely crazy, full ofĀ  switchbacks. I think the views are going to beĀ Ā  really good, but I reckon, as Evan would say,Ā  it’s going to be pretty technical. Yes. So toĀ Ā  just gain a little bit more power and energy, weĀ  will have now our nice provided breakfast. Ah,Ā Ā

Free breakfast, yes. Yeah, we got some eggs,Ā  got a little bit of veg, got some cheese,Ā Ā  got some bread. I don’t know. There’s someĀ  apples and some little chocolate sweets,Ā Ā  and it’s amazing. The aim for today is to tryĀ  to reach a town called Jalalabad, and it’s aboutĀ Ā

100 miles away. So actually not that far. I hopeĀ  we’re going to be all right, but it’s going to allĀ Ā  depend on the road condition. So yeah, exactly.Ā  Crossed. So we will have our breakfast now,Ā Ā  enjoy a little bit, and then we’re ready to hitĀ  the road. What’s this? Yeah, bye-bye. Bye-bye.Ā Ā

Two, yep. Okay, yeah. Y sounds like a kitty cat.Ā  Bye-bye. Thank you. Thank you. Bye-bye. Awesome.Ā Ā  That’s it. Leaving the safety of the guest houseĀ  and heading into the dirt roads in the mountains. I mean, yesterday we were sort of like, “Oh,Ā  so good that we didn’t leave today becauseĀ Ā

It was raining the whole day. It would dry outĀ  overnight.” But then it was raining the wholeĀ Ā  night as well. Yeah, there’s actually been quiteĀ  a lot of rain. I don’t know how that’s going toĀ Ā  affect this road, but yeah, we’ll have to see.Ā  I kind of had nightmares already. I think theĀ Ā

Forecast today is supposed to be really good,Ā  like really nice beautiful sunshine. So I thinkĀ Ā  as long as we get sunshine for a couple of hours,Ā  it’ll dry everything out. Oh, let me see if I canĀ Ā

Get some fuel here. Yes, okay. And it’s not inĀ  plastic bottles this time, which is nice. Okay,Ā Ā  yes. Oh, I think we’ll go here. Okay, ‘cause thisĀ  is 92. So we’re leaving this beautiful place here,Ā Ā  Kazarman, with epic mountain views around. WeĀ  read online that Kyan is investing a massiveĀ Ā

Amount of money into building a whole new roadĀ  system here. And as you can see where we are now,Ā Ā  this is actually a completed section, and it’sĀ  absolutely perfect here. But this project startedĀ Ā  in, I think, 2013. And it was called like the newĀ  North-South Highway. And the initial investmentĀ Ā

For the project was $2.2 billion, of which $200Ā  million came from a grant. And then the country’sĀ Ā  own funds only managed to cover another $200Ā  million. So they had to borrow from Chinese banksĀ Ā  $2 billion to make this construction. And the roadĀ  was supposed to take five years. But now it’s likeĀ Ā

10 years later, and it’s still not finished.Ā  This road is actually supposed to be eventuallyĀ Ā  going to Jalalabad. But at the moment, they areĀ  currently constructing a tunnel to go under theĀ Ā  mountain pass that we’re taking. But that tunnelĀ  is still not finished. And that’s why we stillĀ Ā

Have to take the dirt road mountain pass, whichĀ  will eventually be the old road. But for us, it’sĀ Ā  the road, yeah, the only road, pretty much theĀ  only road out from here heading south. Yeah. SoĀ Ā

At the moment, it’s a beautiful road. But that’sĀ  all going to change in a few miles. Okay, there weĀ Ā  go. Look at that. Oh my God, beautiful junction.Ā  And then it’s finished. That’s it. That’s it. ThatĀ Ā

Was the nice road for the day. Oh no. Yeah. Okay.Ā  So now we have, oh, my GPS is actually frozen. SoĀ Ā  I don’t know, but something like 90 meters nowĀ  on this road. And then we’ll be in Gads. Yeah.Ā Ā

I’m just hoping that the clouds will disappearĀ  and that the sun will shine pretty soon becauseĀ Ā  otherwise we’re going to freeze. Yeah. I mean,Ā  you can see up ahead, it does look really darkĀ Ā  up on the hills. And that’s basically where we’reĀ  heading. But I mean, the forecast was supposed toĀ Ā

Be good. So yeah. I really hope that it’s goingĀ  to clear. Anyway, let’s bump along for the wholeĀ Ā  day. Hey. Yeah. Let’s hope that Bumblebee can takeĀ  one more day of bumpy roads and nothing else fallsĀ Ā  off. It’s all about balance, isn’t it? SometimesĀ  you’re flying on the highway and sometimes you’reĀ Ā

Fearing for your life. Well, I’m fearing from myĀ  life on a highway as well. It’s been a stressfulĀ Ā  two years for you. Hey. Yes. Stressful but reallyĀ  beautiful. As… (Applause) Well, good morning,Ā Ā  guys. Oh no. Oh no. We’re hurting them. Wow, theyĀ  are beautiful horses. Look at them. Look at theirĀ Ā

Coats. Wow. Yeah, amazing horses. Got corrugation.Ā  Yeah, come on, Bumblebee. You can do it. Oh, rock.Ā Ā  Oh, sorry. Sorry, Bumblebee, for everything we putĀ  you through. Suzuki. Another group of horses here.Ā Ā  Beautiful. Wow. Bye. Have a nice day. They’reĀ  living the life, man. Yeah, they are living theĀ Ā

Life. I mean, that’s about as wild as you can get.Ā  Farming, isn’t it? Yeah. Andre told us that theyĀ Ā  really like to eat horses here and in KazakhstanĀ  as well. Well, look at all these birds. Nice.Ā Ā

That’s a lot on the road. Yeah, I’m trying toĀ  look on the road as well. Yeah, it’s always whenĀ Ā  there’s something nice, suddenly you have like aĀ  batch of gravel in front of you, you know? Yep.Ā Ā

Always. As soon as I look to the side, suddenlyĀ  I’m going off the side of the road into theĀ Ā  gravel. And we’re about to fall off a cliff. Yeah,Ā  it’s just how it is, isn’t it? Anyway, no rain soĀ Ā

Far. A little drizzle here and there, but nothingĀ  crazy. There’s a patch of blue sky over there.Ā Ā  And that’s our direction. So fingers crossed.Ā  Fingers crossed the luck continues. Yeah, it’sĀ Ā  a horse paradise here. Yeah, they love it. Wow.Ā  Oh, I think they like each other. Yeah. Beautiful.Ā Ā

There beehives over there. Just going to put myĀ  down a little bit. Hello. Guys. Guys, if you thinkĀ Ā  that we are crazy going up here on the motorbike,Ā  look at this, guys. That’s tough, eh? Yeah. Hello.Ā Ā  Hello. How are you? Good. Big respect. Thanks. BigĀ  respect. Where are you from? From Germany. Hello.Ā Ā

I’m from Germany. He’s from England. Okay. Nice.Ā  Yes. Crazy bike. Yeah. This is a crazy bike. Yeah.Ā Ā  I mean, this one doesn’t even have an engine. GoodĀ  morning. Hi. How are you? Did you leave KazarmanĀ Ā  today? No. We yesterday. So did you just camp?Ā  Yes. Yes. Nice. Oh my God. You carry everything.Ā Ā

You need equipment, everything to survive. IĀ  think same as you. You want some cookies orĀ Ā  something? I think we’re good. Yes. And you haveĀ  lots of noodle packs. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. TheĀ Ā  big bottle underneath. Well, the noodles in theĀ  bottle. You’re going to try to go over the mainĀ Ā

Pass today? Yes. I think it’s like now. It shouldĀ  be like 11 kilometers left. Okay. 11 kilometers.Ā Ā  And then the started going down. Goes down. AndĀ  that’s it. Oh, easy. Oh, we’ll be done in 10,Ā Ā  20 minutes. I’m just moving the bike. Hold on.Ā  Oh, yeah. Group. Yes. Kistan. Thank you. ThankĀ Ā

You very much. Bye-bye. The people here are soĀ  amazing. Hey. Yeah. I think they’re so friendly.Ā Ā  How are you? Very good. H. How is the road? IsĀ  good. Wow. There’s a lot of people coming. Hello.Ā Ā  Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. How are you? WhereĀ  are you from? From England and Germany. Germany.Ā Ā

Yes. Germany. Yeah. Good. What do you make here?Ā  We go to Jalal. Jalad. Mm-hmm. From Kazan. FromĀ Ā  Kazan. Yeah. Is it your hobby? Yes. Yes. It’s ourĀ  hobby. Are you afraid here? No. The road is good.Ā Ā

It’s okay. I am here. First time. I afraid here.Ā  Interesting. What do you make here? My husband’sĀ Ā  brother. Much. Much. Limbs have here. Oh, cool.Ā  We saw many, many horses just down here. Many,Ā Ā  many horses. Yeah. It’s too beautiful. Yeah.Ā  Beautiful. Do we eat? Where do we live? WeĀ Ā

Have a tent. We have a tent. We have food. WeĀ  have everything. And we stay at guest housesĀ Ā  in Kazan. Very nice. Very nice guest house. Yes.Ā  Here, very nice. I live here. But I am here firstĀ Ā

In mountains. In mountains. I have afraid here.Ā  Not beautiful. I wish you best. Love. Thank you.Ā Ā  Thank you. Thank you. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. SendĀ  us a message. All right. Good. Lou. Thank you.Ā Ā  Thank you. Thank you. We see you. Bye-bye. Oh,Ā  the rain starts. Oh, wow. Look at this. HoldĀ Ā

On a minute. I’m going to have to go throughĀ  because I’m not going to the edge. Okay. Oh,Ā Ā  wow. Okay. I’m just again. I just have to goĀ  through. Yep. Oh, wow. Well, that was deeper thanĀ Ā

I imagined. Jesus. We’ve definitely had a lot ofĀ  rain here. Wow. Wow. Oh, my God. That was a littleĀ Ā  bit of a mountain gathering. Hey. Yeah. Nice. ItĀ  was really nice to meet all of these guys. Back toĀ Ā

The road. Hey. Yeah. Let’s hope that the otherĀ  side of the mountain is a bit drier. Yeah. Oh,Ā Ā  no. Look at this. Oh, my God. Okay. Okay. Now thisĀ  is a little bit. Yeah. That’s a bit dodgy. ThatĀ Ā  was. Oh, yeah. Okay. That was pretty. That wasĀ  dodgy. Definitely. Yeah. Was definitely hitting.Ā Ā

Hitting the back tire very hard. Very good. VeryĀ  good. Very good. Very good. Very good. That was. Man, okay, okay, wow. Okay, that bit there wasĀ  just a little bit messed up, a challenge. Yeah,Ā Ā  I mean, that was probably one of the mostĀ  challenging little sections of road we’ve everĀ Ā

Done. I mean, that was crazy. I was just like,Ā  “Right, I just gotta keep the throttle on.” Yeah,Ā Ā  we would definitely, definitely have fallenĀ  there if you would have stopped. There’s noĀ Ā  way we could have stopped. No, I really hopeĀ  we don’t have anything more like that. If IĀ Ā

See more stuff like that, I think we have toĀ  stop and analyze it, okay? A bit more, okay,Ā Ā  rather than just go for it because I don’t wantĀ  to fall off the cliff. Yeah, that was definitelyĀ Ā

A challenge. Wow, that went like from a regularĀ  road to a really crazy, crazy mud puddles. Yeah,Ā Ā  okay, no worries. Still upright, yeah. So ourĀ  cable tie repair on the chain guard is broken,Ā Ā  and so now we got to put new cable ties onĀ  it. Okay, okay, let’s go a little bit further,Ā Ā

And we’ll find a place to stop in the nextĀ  like 10 minutes. Okay, and we’ll have a little,Ā Ā  a little rest, compose ourselves a bit. Wow,Ā  yeah, he’s just going. This day went from likeĀ Ā  quite chilled, and I was actually really enjoyingĀ  it, to like, this is pretty intense now. We’reĀ Ā

Getting higher and higher, yeah, and the roadĀ  seems to be getting worse and worse. So yeah,Ā Ā  we will just stay on the inside now, yeah.Ā  Yeah, I mean, in the worst case, if we doĀ Ā

Drop the bike on the inside, it’s okay, you know.Ā  The main thing is we don’t drop it off the cliff. Exactly. Getting some views though, look at that. Yeah,Ā  wow, starting to climb really high up now. ReallyĀ Ā

High up, yeah. I can’t believe that this guyĀ  is doing it on a bicycle. I can’t believe him,Ā Ā  really. These guys are tough. Front camerasĀ  decided to turn off, give up on us. Okay,Ā Ā  camera’s like, “Now, mate, I’m out.” Okay,Ā  big switchback. Let’s take it wide. VeryĀ Ā

Good. My Lord, very good. Thank you. Yes,Ā  we’re not falling off today. Reckon shouldĀ Ā  we stop for a break somewhere here? Yeah, it’sĀ  quite a big, nice open space, isn’t it? Okay,Ā Ā  yeah, let’s stop here. Do you think this dog isĀ  actually going to attack us? I don’t know. ReckonĀ Ā

He’s just bluffing. I think he’s bluffing. Okay,Ā  little break. Compose ourselves a little bit,Ā Ā  ‘cause that was, uh, that’s a hairy section.Ā  I’m gonna have a look at the view anyway. Woo, yeah. We’ve come up some way already. Hey,Ā  look at that. Look at these switchbacks. I don’tĀ Ā

Think we’re at the top yet, but I think the topĀ  is that’s up there. Wow, few more switchbacksĀ Ā  to come for sure. Not 100% finished yet. Okay,Ā  it’s starting to rain now. So it’s time to takeĀ Ā

Off the medium mod and get our rain clothes on andĀ  continue with this climb. Ah, it started hailing.Ā Ā  Luckily we are wearing our helmet. Oh, not goodĀ  at the moment. Not good. It’s terrible weatherĀ Ā

To be up here. Oh man, so we’re just going to waitĀ  here and see if the weather gets any better beforeĀ Ā  taking on the highest part of the pass. LandslideĀ  was here. Look at this. Okay, got a few puddles.Ā Ā

Okay, yeah, yeah. Yeah, okay. That’s all right.Ā  Yep, yep. Blue sky’s coming on the other side.Ā Ā  Can’t see anything. We got literally no visibilityĀ  anymore. It’s like, look at this. This is crazy.Ā Ā  I can hardly tell where the edge of the cliffĀ  is and where the road is. Ridiculous. Yeah,Ā Ā

We must be at the top now. Oh, yes. I think weĀ  are at the top of the pass. Look at this. Yeah,Ā Ā  we made it. We didn’t die. Sunshine on the otherĀ  side. Yeah, the weather’s much better on the otherĀ Ā

Side. There’s pretty much sunshine over there.Ā  Look at that. This is where we’re heading. Hey,Ā Ā  that’s where we’re headed. Yeah, yeah. We’re goingĀ  all the way along and heading out that way. ThisĀ Ā  is it. This is our highest point and the weather’sĀ  looking a lot better on the other side. Yeah. AndĀ Ā

Look, the sheep’s coming to say hello. Yeah, wow.Ā  That’s so nice. Hi, guys. Oh, I’m so glad that weĀ Ā  got past that bit, man. Yeah, we made it. We madeĀ  it to the top. [MUSIC PLAYING] Beautiful. [MUSICĀ Ā

PLAYING] All right. That’s it. On our way downĀ  now over the pass. From now on, it’s easy.Ā Ā  Just rolling down. But anyway, man, I’m so gladĀ  because, like I said, I had nightmares. You know,Ā Ā  I thought it would be really tricky, and it wasĀ  really tricky. But we survived. And now we canĀ Ā

Enjoy a really open, nice view. Beautiful.Ā  Absolutely beautiful. [MUSIC PLAYING] Oh,Ā Ā  maybe actually the thing is, again, loose, isĀ  it maybe? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It is. It is.Ā Ā  So we have basically just sort of hung up the mudĀ  guard away from the chain with some high tensileĀ Ā

Fishing line given to us by Doug in San Diego.Ā  Thanks, Doug. And I think that’s going to hold it,Ā Ā  keep the chain guard in good condition. AndĀ  then when we get to the next town, we can getĀ Ā

A screw for it. All right. 55 miles to go. Yeah,Ā  let’s do it. And then we’ll be in Jalalabad. Hey,Ā Ā  what was that? Show me again. That’s reallyĀ  nice. [MUSIC PLAYING] Whoa. [MUSIC PLAYING] WeĀ Ā  are nearly at the bottom now. Oh, that’s amazing.Ā  I’m so happy. Yes, we’re not going to die today.Ā Ā

That’s always good, isn’t it? Yeah, totally.Ā  Always good to survive, to ride another day. Yeah,Ā Ā  but wow, I can’t believe how remote some peopleĀ  are living here. All around this mountain,Ā Ā  you can see some little tents where peopleĀ  are living and their livestock around. Wow,Ā Ā

I just can’t believe it. These guys are living aĀ  wild lifestyle, that’s for sure. For sure, justĀ Ā  horse on the menu every day. Yeah, there we go.Ā  Look at that. Oh, it feels so good, man. Really,Ā Ā

No more cliffs. Yes, we are at the bottom. Oh,Ā  my God, how nice. And we didn’t drop the bikeĀ Ā  this whole Kyan adventure on all these dirt roads.Ā  We have not dropped Bumblebee yet. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Put a guy hurting some horsesĀ  on an ATV. That’s the way to do it. Wow,Ā Ā

Look at all these beautiful horses. Beautiful.Ā  As well, it’s just a little boy. See if we canĀ Ā  just get through here without killing a foal. IĀ  think so too. Look, they know where to go. Yeah,Ā Ā

So I can see some diggers and that might meanĀ  there’s been a landslide. Ooh, what do you think?Ā Ā  Should I just go? Um, I don’t know. Looks likeĀ  it’s been washed out. Do you think it’s better forĀ Ā

Me to walk and you try to ride it? BecauseĀ  I think it will be really, um… Yeah, yeah,Ā Ā  it’s going to be muddy. Muddy. Going to be reallyĀ  muddy. Yeah, yeah. Maybe it’s best. It’s basicallyĀ Ā

Just from here to there. Yeah, and it looks likeĀ  they’re cutting it out at the moment. I’m not evenĀ Ā  sure I can go. Yet. Wow, they’re really carvingĀ  it all out right now. I’ll ask him if I can go.Ā Ā

He said I can go. Okay. Yep. Wow. Oh my God.Ā  Yeah, I think that’s it. Short but intense. Okay. I didn’t fall over, so we might. At this crazy dudes here from Lithuania. HelloĀ  on like really cool bikes here. Bike, sorry,Ā Ā

Here. One guy, his spoke broke. So, andĀ  they tie it now with a cable tie. That’sĀ Ā  a good fix in my eyes. I have no idea whereĀ  these guys are from. Oh, he’s going. TheyĀ Ā  rented these bikes too. Oh, he’s going asĀ  well. There we go. Coming on to the tarmac.

Can you believe it? Hey, wow. That was like 68Ā  miles. 68 miles of pretty difficult roads. Yeah,Ā Ā  some of the toughest ridingĀ  I’ve ever done, seriously. Yes, that little kind of up and downĀ  with all the puddles and the mud. Yeah,Ā Ā

That was like nearly off the edge of the cliff.Ā  That was like touch and go there. Oh my Lord. NowĀ Ā  we got a child roadblock. Oh no. Hello, hello. Hi,Ā  hello. Hello, hi, cool. Wow, sunflower seeds. Oh,Ā Ā  cool, cool. They’re like literally hand pickingĀ  the seeds out of the sunflowers and drying themĀ Ā

On the road. Wow, amazing. We’ve picked outĀ  one guest house, which we saw on I Overlander,Ā Ā  which was supposed to be cheap but reallyĀ  nice. And it’s just down here. The place isĀ Ā  apparently next to a place called [ __ ] art.Ā  I just thought I’d let you guys know that. SoĀ Ā

Look around for some [ __ ] art and see whatĀ  you can find. The thing about guest houses,Ā Ā  ‘cause they’re really hard to find,Ā  ‘cause they just look like houses.Ā Ā  Maybe one here. Oh, yeah, yeah, maybe.Ā  Okay, yeah, let’s check out that house. Hi. Hi. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you.

Nice to meet you. Amazing. They have a room. So we’ve just noticedĀ  that we’ve actually lost one of the rollers,Ā Ā  this one here. And this is the same thing thatĀ  happened back in Chile. And it started with one,Ā Ā

Then it was two, three, four, five. So thisĀ  doesn’t look really good for the chain. We’llĀ Ā  most likely need to replace the chain and theĀ  sprocket at some point pretty soon. We’re goingĀ Ā  to monitor this one and see if we get more ofĀ  them breaking or if it’s just one on its own.

Hi, me. Good evening, guys. We made it. HavingĀ  a life. Our four days of dirt road mountainĀ Ā  adventures are over. And we have made it hereĀ  to Jalalabad and the safety of tarmac. Yeah,Ā Ā  it was a really, really crazy ride. And I’m justĀ  so happy that Bumblebee didn’t break anymore. I’mĀ Ā

A little bit annoyed that we see the first signsĀ  of the chain starts to break. That was a funnyĀ Ā  sentence. Yeah, you got it. But actually, I thinkĀ  we read that you might have to exchange your chainĀ Ā

Every 20,000 miles. And we just counted that weĀ  actually hit 20,000 miles since the last time weĀ Ā  have changed it. So it’s about time, to be honest.Ā  So we’ll look to do that when we get over toĀ Ā

Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, which is theĀ  next big city that we’ll be coming to. The planĀ Ā  is to reach Tashkent in like three or four days,Ā  so not too bad. But it’s been four amazing rides,Ā Ā  a little bit scary at times, but the viewsĀ  have been insane. The camping by the lakesĀ Ā

Has been really, really beautiful. SoĀ  we were just rest now because tomorrow,Ā Ā  if everything goes well, we actually cross intoĀ  Uzbekistan. Yes, but that’s it from us today.Ā Ā  We hope you enjoyed the video. If so, pleaseĀ  give us a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel,Ā Ā

  1. I could've sworn my heart skipped a beat with your editing! šŸ˜›
It's amazing to see how far you guys have come since starting this round the world trip, and also that you're keeping an eye on Bumblebee to keep her in good condition to get home! You can do it!

  2. Love the video and we sure enjoy following your awesome adventures. The people you meet and your interactions are always interesting, too!!

  3. Very good spectacular mountain range.. amazing landscape was beautiful..I really love this video.. Stay safe take care of health Both of you I really loved guys.. All the best for next ride ā¤ā¤šŸ˜šŸ˜

  4. Another challenging day on the bike, that chain guard needs a better bolt with loctite or glue on it, like you said the chain is on its way out, good you survived another day.

  5. Thanks for taking us along on this journey. Watching you have fun, interact with people and each other, and grow through hardships is always a joy!

  6. Vous êtes vraiment courageux de rouler dans des conditions incroyables pour nous faire découvrir des paysages magnifiques ! Merci beaucoup !

  7. I started on the same ride some 5 years ago, right after the road was opened after winter. My tires were gone and after sliding around for an hour I decided to go back to kazarman! The landlady organized a van to take me to Jalalabad after a few days, not one of my proudest days ā˜¹ļø I got new tires in osh and was ok after that.

  8. Hola L&O,

How are my favorite YouTubers? I hope you are both well wherever you are.

Oh my gosh, you two handled that terrifying ride so well. You should be so proud of yourselves. Did you ever imagine on day one that you'd be riding on a narrow mountain road, with no visibility, getting hailed on and still making it down to sunshine?

The scenery through that mountain pass was stunning, but I was scared for you two.

I am so glad you made it happy and alive.

Safe and happy travels. See you in the next one.

    Sending lots of love. ā¤ā¤ā¤

  9. Challenging ride, congrats. You need to get some safety wire, bailing wire and some blue Locktite to stop bolts from vibrating off. Mandatory on my KLR650.

  10. That was epic. Props to you Ollie, that was some awesome riding over that terrain!
Please don't wait for the chain to get worse, get a new one fitted as soon as possible.

  11. Good morning, that’s the best episode yet, scenery, dirt roads which I love when travelling, editing perfect and a bit of boogie Woogie music ,glad that was a thirty minute episode ,cheers šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘Manxman šŸ‡®šŸ‡²

  12. That's so awesome and such a crazy road! Plus a perfect example of the Foehn effect! You noticed how one side of the mountain was cloudy and cold and the other side warm and clear. That's because as a wet air mass hits a mountain and climbs, it cools and condensates into cloud. At the very top, most of the moisture has gone and it mixes with higher drier winds and plummets back down the other side, but this time lacking moisture so warms more quickly and to a higher temperature. As you were riding along the top, you could literally see the division line with that line of cloud ending along the ridge.

Fantastic ride and looked very dicey in places, ultra-kudos for getting that big bike up it, plus packed with luggage and wives!

Looking forward to the next one…

    Dale

  13. Brilliant. One of the most impressive and testing videos to date but you handled it superbly. Such spectacular views as well. Well done.
