11 hours in Taiwan’s China Airlines Business Class Taipei to San Francisco | CI14 | 777-300

Long time no see! Welcome back to my channel. I’m on the Kaohsiung light rail now. Today we are going to San Francisco from Kaohsiung. Let’s take a look at the map. Today we took the high-speed train from Kaohsiung to Taoyuan International Airport.

It takes almost 90 minutes and costs New Taiwan Dollar 1330 (or USD 42.18) . Take the China Airlines flight from Taoyuan (TPE) to San Francisco (SFO) that departs at midnight (11:40 PM). The scenery at Kaohsiung Harbor in the evening is really beautiful! The high-speed rail station has arrived.

It’s now around 6:10 in the evening. Many people at the high-speed rail station felt very busy. The high-speed train heading south has just arrived. We took the northbound train that departed at 6:35. Get in the car. There are places on high-speed trains where you can enlarge your suitcases.

However, you can also send your luggage to the airport in advance. The seats are spacious. Kaohsiung’s high-speed rail station, train station, and MRT station is located close to each other in the same building makes easy to travel to tourist spots.

Put down the phone, have to make the most of my time to enjoy the scenery of Taiwan. It takes almost 90 minutes to Taoyuan Station (near TPE airport) and costs New Taiwan Dollar 1330 (or USD 42.18). It seems that many people are going to travel.

After getting off the high-speed rail, transfer to the Airport MRT here. The sign to the Airport is clear. It took about 20 minutes to get to the airport. Take the escalator and go all the way up to the departure hall.

It took about 40 minutes to pick up the luggage I sent earlier, complete check-in, and go through customs. But there are still more than two hours before departure time of 11:40 PM. First, let’s take a look at the China Airlines VIP Lounge. I’ve never been there before.

This lounge is smaller than expected, with not many seats and only one shower room. Great! This lounge has freshly prepared Taiwanese food. This is not to be missed! There is not much variety of food but it looks healthy. This small section is the vegetarian area. Siomai is too popular.

It’s a pity that bubble milk tea is not offered here, but Taiwan’s oolong tea is also famous. I ordered braised tea eggs and minced pork noodles. The portions are a bit small but taste great.. The tea eggs are also delicious.

After waiting for more than 1 hour, finally, it’s my turn to use the shower room. Well, this shower is nice. Cleaner than those in Dallas or San Francisco airport lounges. Love the rain shower. One last beer before boarding the plane. Let’s go.

The prices of skin care products in Taiwan airport duty-free shops are very reasonable. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time this time so I couldn’t go shopping… Business class cabins are all in aisle configuration. Not my favorite…. My seat is at 22K. There is a small lamp next to it. Cute❤️

The table is the right size, and it looks a bit old. Welcome drink. Tastes like tropical fruit juice. Windows has lots of scratches. This compartment is perfect for my cell phone or passport. Slippers, headphones, and TV remote control. A socket. The legroom is spacious.

There is a bottled water hidden in the armrest on the left. Heavy~ The magazine is on the side shelf. The menu is here. Rumour says China Airlines’ cocktails are quite good. I’ll order a drink later. I cannot resist the charm of shopping magazines 😸 There is a reading light here too.

Maybe because our flight takes off at midnight, the cabin is quite dark. Byebye, Island of Boba Tea ~ I cannot see the night view clearly through the scratchy windows. Going to watch TV instead. Let’s check out the flight path.

On this trip, we’ll pass the Sushi Islands and approach the Holy Land of Vodka, then fly along the southern edge of salmon heaven, before crossing the border into maple syrup country, Then our destination, San Francisco. What’s the famous food here? 🍎 ?

Let’s take a look at this bright neon yellow amenity bag. The lotion from Sprekenhu smells nice. The boldly colored amenity bag has the same contents as a regular long-haul business class bag. In addition to the socket, there are 2 additional USB sockets for charging. TV remote control.

The Umeshu Sour I ordered came before the meal. We just encountered turbulence, the shaking video has nothing to do with alcohol… The snack packaging and this small plate are so cute. Cute China Airlines logo. Umeshu Sour — delicious. Today’s dinner appetizers are abalone, chicken rolls, and salad. Balsamic vinegar olive oil.

Getting ready to eat. Only now did I realize that there are meals made by LePalais!!! Michelin 3-star cuisine!!! Well, the lobster noodles I ordered may be just as good. Very fresh, crunchy salad. Refreshing and non-greasy. The portion is just right. Split Pea Soup.

Would go well with British fish and chips. The main dish is Nanyang Laksa lobster noodles, fish balls and fried tofu. The noodle is moderately soft and hard, and goes well with lobster. The fish balls are also delicious. Very ordinary cheese, fruit, and ice cream. Oolong tea is quite delicious.

The bathroom is no bigger than the one in economy class. But it smells very good. I wonder if it’s because the lotion and spray of this brand are very long-lasting. It’s quite special to have a landscape painting on the door. Get ready to make the bed.

This chair cover is as this as a cheap hand towel, and the quilt is too heavy. Hope I can fall sleep. Good Night. Good morning. Let’s have a cup of oolong tea first. Breakfast was delivered. Chinese breakfast includes salted eggs, white porridge, green onion rolls and side dishes. ………. 😓 It’s quite delicious.

Encountered turbulence again. Amazing! It is rare to be able to eat Taiwanese fruits that are not sweet. We are finally near San Francisco. To be honest, China Airlines’ service and meals are not bad. However, the seating configuration and bedding really didn’t allow me to sleep well.

For my next long-haul trans-Pacific flight, I might try Evergreen or depart from Japan and take JAL. Wow, the sunset scenery by the San Francisco Airport is beautiful. It’s 8:31 PM now. Next, pick up the luggage then find a way to Terminal 1. This cart is now free. It used to cost $5.

Great, the cart can go directly onto the tram. Now, it is 9:04 PM, and we got off the plane at 8:31 PM, not too bad. Arrive at Terminal 1. If you fly with American Airlines or Southwest Airlines, transfer here.

Don’t worry too much if you have large luggage. It is convenient to push the cart to your terminal. Maybe there are fewer people at the airport this time, so it only takes an hour to go through customs and check-in for the next flight. Thank you for watching to the end today.

Until next time. goodbye.
