【阿蘇・道の駅ホテル】広大な景色に感激:フェアフィールド・バイ・マリオット熊本阿蘇の旅/[Parent-child Vlog in Aso] Fairfield by Marriott Aso

Aso Shrine, Aso City, Kumamoto PrefectureParent and child journey around AsoRoadside Hotel Fairfield Kumamoto Aso Miredon channel is starting hello everyone This is Miredon channel. This time it is located in Aso, Kumamoto Prefecture. Head to the roadside station Hotel Fairfield Kumamoto Aso I’m heading all the way to Aso.

I would like to proceed with some detours along the way. It has become customary Miredon’s mission is here. This time’s mission 1. Go to the Kitasato Shibasaburo Memorial Museum and find out what he did. 2. Find out about the caldera volcano at the Aso Volcano Museum.

3 Please take a look at Aso Shrine, which was destroyed in the Kumamoto earthquake. This is the mission this time. I hope you will stick with me until the end of this video. Well then, please This bridge is so cute (The destination is on the left. Thank you for your hard work.) There are quite a few people. We’ve arrived! Mission 1. Oh, wonderful! What a wonderful place! It’s a very nice memorial “Donnell Hall” just opened in 2023 (Yes, please) Hey, this person… How about Hideo Kitasato, director and professor emeritus at Kitasato University? (This will be the new 1000 yen bill) Ah, amazing (Kitasato Shibasaburo’s storyboard drawing for the front of the banknote) Hoooooooo (On the back side…) (Wave painting from Katsushika Hokusai’s “Thirty-six Views of Mt. “The Great Wave off Kanagawa”) (A watermark is placed in the round hole)

Leave the memorial hall and head to the courtyard. Kitasato Bunko: A library built by Shibasaburo for the local community It is now an exhibition museum. Photography inside the building is prohibited This is Dr. Shibasaburo Kitasato, who discovered a pure culture of tetanus while studying in Germany and a serum therapy using that toxin.

After returning to Japan, he founded the Infectious Disease Research Institute and the Kitasato Research Institute with the support of Yukichi Fukuzawa, and laid the foundation for public health in Japan. What is the Japanese house next door?

This building is called Kihinkan. This is the building where Shibasaburo Kitasato entertained guests he invited to his hometown. There was a spot for face-to-face photos. Are they similar somehow? (Laughs) Those are really steep stairs. The second floor is a Japanese-style room with a spectacular view of Mt. Waita in the distance.

Wow, nice! Wow, it feels good It feels good to work in a place like this. Where is the house where you were born and raised? Do you want to go over there? Yeah. This was the house where I was born, after all.

The birthplace of Shibasaburo Kitasato It looks like it was relocated here. Originally, the house seems to have been near the parking lot. The Kihinkan building seen from the birthplace side is so nice. The Donnell building will open in September 2023. I’m glad I came at the right time

I’m glad I came when it was new. Found a new 1000 yen bill (lol) Oh, I came to a very narrow road. Kitasato Shibasaburo Memorial Museum was interesting. Yeah, it was interesting. He’s an amazing person It was great to see the house where I was born.

Oh, wonderful! Look at this railway bridge! Cool! This is also the bridge ruins of the former National Railways Miyahara Line. It seems that you can enjoy walking from the roadside station in Oguni Town. If you use daddy’s arm as a pillow, it will be heavy! It’s a beautiful view, you see.

The sky is so close…it’s amazing, the grassland continues forever. Has Mirei ever been to Daikanbo? do not have. Shall we go? yes. What is that? Daikanbo is Daikanbo…right? Look, the grassland is so big. I’ll go to the other side Is it a group from Taiwan? Full of inbound customers Look, there’s a grassland spreading out there, and from the far end, it’s falling with a thud, right? That is a terrain called a caldera. Originally, mountains continued from that grassland. There used to be a mountain about 6000 meters high here. Because the mountain erupted too much and released too much

Magma inside the mountain. The mountain can no longer bear the weight It collapsed with a thud. As a result, the terrain became what is called a caldera, and a volcano was formed from the depression… which can be seen beyond the rice fields. The Five Mountains of Aso have been completed.

The scenery of Daikanbo is always beautiful… Isn’t it an amazing view? Dad, have you ever come? Dad has been here many times. Two mysterious parents and children (lol) Okay, let’s go Daikanbo, there are so many tourists! It’s been a while since I’ve seen Daikanbo with so many tourists. Ah, it felt good.

It felt good It’s okay to run around here Wow, amazing! wide! Wow, this is the rice field I just looked down on from Daikanbo. Oh, look, it looks like a runway! the road is straight Very straight

From the vicinity of Kokuzo Shrine to the vicinity of Aso City Hall A straight road of approximately 3.5km continues. It’s a little narrow so it’s a little scary to fly. (I feel like I’m going to be attacked and told to drive slowly lol) This is the end of the straight road.

I wonder where is empty? Arrived! departure! Woooooo. That’s amazing, Sanmon. (Actually Romon) Wow, this has really been rebuilt. The precincts of Aso Shrine damaged by the Kumamoto earthquake (Photographed by Mirei Papa in October 2016) Wow, amazing

The tower gate that collapsed due to the earthquake (Photographed by Mirei Papa in October 2016) I’m surprised this was restored amazing I feel like I’ve become better than before (lol) Amazing… But, you know, I used a lot of old parts. Only broken in some places Are you putting in new wood?

It’s true. But you’re using old wood as much as possible, which is amazing, since the main shrine was also destroyed. (Collapsed main shrine, October 2016, photographed by Mirei Papa) The destroyed main shrine was also rebuilt.

Isn’t the building on the right damaged? The right side of the main hall remained even after the earthquake. Dad is once again impressed by the restored tower gate. Let’s pray I prayed with two bows, two claps, and one bow. Monzenmachi shopping street

Spring water called “Mizuki” I have been using it carefully for a long time. You can drink water. The spring water is delicious. There was Kumamon Yes, Chizu Doesn’t “grilled red beef skewers” look delicious? (Two skewers, right?) Yes Shakin♪ I’ll have it! Ah, delicious! The meat is delicious, isn’t it? This is today’s dinner

Well, that can’t be true. It’s a complete meal Hey! (lol) Come on, Shuppatsu! Thank you for visiting Aso Shrine. Here we come Look, Aso Station It’s really a hotel in front of the station. Look, it’s the station. Well then, let’s go Oh, this is a hotel Look, Fairfield by Marriott Kumamoto Aso Hello

(Finally…it’s been less than two weeks yet) (The front desk is open 24 hours a day) (Please feel free to contact us anytime if you have any questions) I understand. Where is the best place to go to eat? Is there one at the roadside station too? (That’s right.) (The roadside station also sells a lot of bento boxes.) (The roadside station is open until 6pm.) Okay, so let’s go early… There is a restaurant/coffee shop along the national highway called “East”…)(This place is open until around 9pm) Okay. Feel like buying breakfast at a roadside station…? (The roadside station opens at 9 a.m.) And wouldn’t it be better to buy breakfast in advance? (It may be better to purchase breakfast in advance) Okay. thank you

(Thank you) Is there an elevator? (The elevator will be on your left) Please. Look, look, I’m selling something. There is also a store next to the front desk. They also sell shochu and alcohol. Oh, there’s cup ramen. Maybe a cup of ramen would be good for a meal (lol) and cider.

Oh, Kumamon cider looks delicious. Shall I buy it later? Yeah. There are quite a variety of alcoholic beverages. There’s beer too. Hey, there’s wine too. Ah, this might be a good idea…Okay, let’s go to the room. Room 504 Which is room 504? 50…. It’s 4 It’s this way Ah, the room right next to the elevator. Oh, I can see the station here Is this a tour bus? It seems different There are two amazing buses running. There are many passengers on the bus. I agree Are you a student? No,

I look like a tourist It says “bound for Aso Station” on the front of the bus, so it’s a route bus. It’s amazing, there are so many tourists! You can see Mt. Aso on your right. Our room doesn’t have a view of Mt. Aso. Hello Oh, but it’s a better room

Than I expected. The bed is high. The bed is really high, and there’s a washbasin just as you enter, so if you go all the way to the back, you’ll be able to open the roll curtains. Ah, the train is stopped now. (It’s a diesel car…sweat)

Ohhhh, I can see the direction of Daikanbo. nice rural scenery Yes, this is the room. (I wasn’t expecting much since it was cheap) I think it’s quite elegant and good. Beds are expensive. This is quite a bed dive (lol) Well, I’ll show you the room later. Yeah. Yes, see you later bye bye

Please (For some reason, she looks like a grandma…) Start the room guide (lol) The bed is too high so I can’t reach it. (Try again from the sofa) Now, can you fly from there? please What should I do? How is the hardness? The spring is hard and the surface is very soft. It’s a foreign chain hotel. It’s a nice bed

After all, the bed feels good Today we have a twin room with two beds. Shall I look next to the bed? This lighting is wonderful! Look at this lighting, isn’t it wonderful? It’s a bit delicate and looks like it might break (lol) There are various light switches next to the bed.

A memo pad with a cute phone is also available. I have an analog clock If you go to the window, there is a sofa. table. there is a table try sitting on the sofa The sofa is nice and big. Hard. hard? I think Dad should sit down for a bit.

There is also a power outlet next to the sofa. It’s a pretty hard sofa. It might be good for sleeping, but…do you think so? Yeah. 2 cushions …and the table. there is a table round table. There is a round table You can eat at this table. Yeah.

I just opened the roll curtains. yes. Oh, I can see the station Mirei, raise the roll curtains to the top. Roll curtains close automatically Isn’t this so convenient? Yeah. There are two bottles of water. Oh, there is Ukiha’s natural water. boiling pot There are teas around here And there’s a coffee cup

Does it taste good? Then open this and see if it’s a refrigerator? Look. First of all, there is a safe box. Safety box instruction manual is included And what about the bottom? Where can I open this? Oh, can you open it from there? Oh, that’s what it feels like

There is nothing in there This refrigerator is so small. Well, it’s compact It fits nicely Oh, wait a minute. Speaking of safes… I’m sleepy. Sleep. (lol) Your home is over there. Good night. Then, if you turn to the right, there are two beds. Oh, that’s amazing…there are some cool Japanese-style pictures on it.

A picture of “e” in hiragana. It looks like the hiragana “e”, that’s for sure. There are two nightgowns that look like gauze fabric. You probably don’t have any sleepwear for your child. Next time, if you look to your left, you’ll see a large 50-inch TV. When you turn on your Panasonic TV…oh,

There’s hotel information. There is also hotel information. Okay, even if it looks like this… slippers here Two. There are disposable slippers Then next time I go over here, there’s a baggage rack. So, when I go to the entrance, it looks like this It’s so simple already It’s really simple the cloakroom is here

There’s also a place to hang some luggage, which is nice. look. The room key is placed in a perfect balance. (Looks like Mirei worked hard lol) Deodorant is on. The deodorant is in Fairfield’s original container. Do you want to try hissing? It smells quite refreshing The smell of alcohol.

It definitely smells like alcohol It feels more like alcohol than an air refresher. Yes, let’s hang it There is a shoehorn (What are you doing???) Well, I’m not wearing shoes… (lol) What are you doing? ? ? (Laughs) I took it off. He’s a strange person… So, if you go this way…

There’s a door. The Mt. Aso side is on the upper side…Today, the room is on the side of the station that is not on the Mt. Aso side. It’s next to the elevator All rooms are the same. All rooms are the same size That’s why we don’t have a big room here.

And on the left side…the master power switch is here. There is a large mirror Here is the air conditioner controller There is a washbasin here It’s a sink connected to the room that looks like a foreign hotel. yes. There’s a bowl and when you close it, it’s like that

Water can be stored in the wash basin It is the type where water comes out when you lift the knob upwards. I’m concerned that it’s a little dirty. (Mother-in-law mode lol) Go to the right of the sink and you’ll find a small towel, cup, and toiletries. Amenities such as toothbrushes and tissues

Are placed compactly. hand soap. Hand soap is fixed on the wall There are some Marriott hotels these days. Oh, really? Yeah, I don’t think I can get it no matter how hard I try. So the mirror looks like this There is a small mirror attached to the mirror. Oh, the mirror moves.

Is this a handle to move the mirror? Maybe it’s a mirror that makes your face look bigger? (Laughs) Look. Look, I saw a huge Mirei (lol) Let’s take a look underneath. What’s underneath…? yes. There are separate trash cans, but what are they? Hairdryer. What brand of dryer do you have? Hair dryer…oh,

It’s a big hair dryer from Koizumi. Yes, next to it…? There’s a laundry bag…beyond that are two bath towels…two face towels, and a trash can. There are trash cans that can be sorted. The bluish-gray tiles are cute. This color is nice Okay, let’s go to the back right this time.

The entrance to the toilet is a sliding door. It’s funny how the toilet door is open from the beginning. This is a beautiful toilet It’s a tankless type. TOTO’s washlet There’s a remote control on this side, and the toilet paper is wrapped in paper. Awesome, hoho This time…shower room

There’s no bathtub in the room. Oh, there’s Mirei’s favorite rain shower. I don’t like it (angry). (Correction) There is a rain shower that Mirei hates. And when you go down…the normal shower head is big. Here you can adjust the temperature and dispense hot water. Oh, this is a rinse-in shampoo! and body soap

Are attached to the wall. It’s stuck together. It’s NIRVAE. It seems to be used at Marriott casual brand hotels such as Fairfield. This is the shower head large shower head The foot mat is hung here. The walls of the shower room are also a nice color, this one. Ah, this looks easy to wipe. It seems like it repels water really well…I like this interior material. Yes, the water system looks like this The shower door is glass It’s a little transparent

(What? I can see something…) I can see through it. By closing the sliding door between the sink and the bed… you can completely separate the water area from the room. This is great for keeping it out of sight when taking a bath.

Even if it is closed off with a sliding door, the room feels nice enough. Is this how the room is introduced? Yes, so today…the room looks like this. Okay, let’s have fun in this room today. See you later, let’s explore the building a bit. Yeah! See you later bye bye

Now, let’s go explore the facility! Let’s go… (Grandma Mirei appears again…sweat) Oh, it’s spacious Push to the first floor and let’s go! The lighting is cute and nice Ah, cute, wonderful Look, it looks like a club lounge. There’s a terrace. There is a terrace, actually What do we have here?

Oh, there’s miso soup. That’s right, it would be strange if there was no tea here. There is miso soup, and forks and chopsticks are also provided. There’s even a wooden spoon It’s nice that they even provide paper plates. Yeah. what is this? Is it something to wrap around a hot cup?

What about this side…? what’s this? Oh, it’s an ice bucket there is a coffee machine Espresso, cafe latte… There’s only coffee. Would you like to go outside to the terrace? Wow, amazing! Wow, that’s a nice garden It’s like a resort hotel. That’s good Ah, it feels good

When I look up, the sky feels good too I think I can sleep like this…I I like the outside terrace here. It would be nice to have breakfast here… It will feel good when you come in the morning. That’s right, that’s right Ah, this…Yakisugi is pitch black, but it’s still cedar.

There are various chairs Good job Ah, it’s so cozy Looks like a Sheraton. This chair may be my favorite… Yeah, do you like that chair? Okay, let’s go over here, look, there’s a photo. Ah, there’s an explanation board here. Ah, nice, the way this explanation is presented… amazing

Ah, this is Aso Shrine that I went to earlier. There are many European and American people. (This family doesn’t speak Japanese either…) There are almost no Japanese people in the hotel. Aso station This is…a one piece (lol) Why is it a one piece? ? ? that’s odd? What do you have? Lunch? Isn’t there something like a lunch box? Ah, this looks delicious There’s something like horsepower bowl.

We also have wild vegetable rice. Doesn’t this look delicious too? Amazing rice balls! Tasty rice balls. Umadama onigiri looks delicious Chiffon cake looks delicious too Chiffon cake, pizza…Would you like bread for breakfast? Yes, I eat bread. There are also sandwiches. Is this okay to eat for breakfast? If it’s refrigerated…then let’s try this.

Excuse me Is late check-out possible as a Marriott Gold membership benefit? Please check out at 14:00. thank you Great! Please lend me your microwave. I guess it has to do with the liquor license. thank you Thank you. Are you home? It’s kind of weird. Dad, please go to the car and get your shoes. Delicious♪ (Daddy is back) Welcome back. delicious? Yeah. Daddy is back. Papapapan. Ah, the foam soap feels so good♪The quality of each of these amenities…I think foreign chain hotels are good after all. It’s strong…

Ah, I feel so good after washing my face Ha, it’s kind of comfortable♪ Yeah. The only drawback is that there isn’t a place to eat inside the hotel, but…well, you can buy it at the roadside station. The roadside station next door has pretty good food…I think it’s more comfortable than I expected.

Fault! This one doesn’t have a stopper opener! Come to think of it, it didn’t even come up in the room introduction! (Calling the front desk…) Oh, sorry Is it possible to borrow a bottle opener? You can bring it. Sorry, thank you very much Wow, you brought a bottle opener!

Oh wow, that’s amazing, it’s a bath. (What you see is what you see! lol)

The hot spring water is abundantly poured into the bathtub. It’s hot water with quite a lot of iron. Ahhh, it feels so good. Phew. Oh, that was great My stiff shoulders went away quickly. That’s excellent There’s still plenty of time left in the 60 minute time limit. It’s a waste…

Mirei’s night reading time Foreign languages are spoken as if you were in a hotel overseas. It’s beautiful outside What is this green lamp? Strange…why is it green? Oh, there are so many flies Really, is the green light attracting flies? Hello,

Nocturnal insects. It looks like a machine that uses green light to trick people into thinking it’s daytime. Now that you’ve had some time, let’s go back to the room. I found the laundry behind the vending machine in front of the front desk. The laundry operation rate is quite high.

Washing machines are very popular, perhaps because there are many people from overseas. Yes, what time is it? It’s 22:13 Let’s go to sleep, Miredon Miredon, let’s sleep Miredon Yes, good night I’m Miredon! Ah, the real thing was here! What was interesting today? What was the most interesting? Well then, good night The night dawns in Aso Trains and buses begin to come and go at Aso Station Good morning good morning. Did you sleep well? ……. You slept well, huh? Daddy got kicked a lot Why do my legs move so much when I’m sleeping?

Am I dreaming? Well, it’s morning in Aso. From the outside, it looks like the weather is nice today, and this is what it looks like. You can see the outer rim of the mountain all the time…and you can see Aso Station right in front of you.

Well, today is a special benefit for Marriott members. I was asked to check out at 2pm. I’m thinking of going to the Aso Volcano Museum in the morning. Yesterday, I bought a sandwich at the roadside station…Would you like to have breakfast in the guest lounge on the first floor?

Because it is Mt. Aso inside the caldera of Mt. Aso. Wow, it’s so spacious! Wow, amazing grassland nothing Wow, it’s beautiful… Can we go to the crater today? Aso west exit observation post Hello Yes, it’s okay. (Currently, you can’t see inside the crater due to volcanic gas regulations.) (You can go to the parking lot and observation deck.) Yes, I understand. Yes, thank you. You can’t see the crater today. Is this the crater? Yeah, that’s right amazing Wow, that’s amazing That’s amazing! ! ! I’m so excited Dad is too excited (lol) (I’m sorry, but thank you) (I’ll give you the 200 yen in return) That’s amazing! It’s snowing. It was my dad’s first time visiting Mt. Aso in the snow. I get a sore throat because of the volcanic gas being released. If it starts to hurt, I’ll go home right away. Dad isn’t too fond of the volcanic gas here either. Wow, that’s amazing Wow, pure white.

It’s pure white It’s really pure white. I want to touch it. Wow, that’s amazing There was a parking lot. I’ve arrived! Shall we go then? From now on, I would like to go to the Aso observation deck. Daddy is having a bit of a hard time breathing. I’m not good at it.

Isn’t the volcanic gas here painful? Yeah, it’s a little painful It’s not that painful though. Wow, it’s cold. The thick walls are a safety measure in the event of an eruption. You cannot enter the entrance to Zone A near the crater. That’s amazing, there are so many shelters to escape to.

The concentration of toxic gas seems to be quite high around the crater. Wow, beautiful Wow, beautiful. It’s snowing a lot here. It’s steamy from the smoke from the crater. The smoke… Hey It’s already super crunchy Look, look, this way it’s broken How does it break? Look, this place is being torn apart

By the force of the volcanic eruption. Wow, the scenery is so majestic… My throat hurts…I’m totally fine. It’s amazing that everything is fine That pulsating thing just over there is the crater. There is light green water inside the crater. It was the summit of Aso. Ahhh, it hurts My throat hurts, it hurts, and… Mirei, my throat doesn’t hurt at all. That’s right, that’s good… Ah, it’s painful, but it’s beautiful There used to be a lot of shops here. Hmm? why? Because the volcano’s activity

Has become more intense, it’s difficult to come here. You can no longer park your car here, and look at all these abandoned buildings. I ate lunch here during a school trip in elementary school. The glass is broken. Yeah, is that so? Because no one uses it anymore

I went down to the Kusasenrigahama parking lot. (good morning) Good morning Parking fee: 500 yen for regular cars Apparently you can buy advance tickets from this QR code. “You can purchase it right before entering the museum.” Oh, it’s quite expensive, isn’t it? The admission fee is expensive.

You can buy tickets from this page. Adults select “1”, children select “1”, and then proceed to the reservation process… and then? Okay. This QR code Okay let’s go Hello Where should I show the QR code? (Eh, ah…) (Have you been manipulated yet?) Yes. There are two of us. Please) Yes. (Where are you starting today?) From Oita. (Oh, from Oita)

(I hope the story of Oita will come out too) Oooh (Please call here) While showing me a map of Aso… (Where are you now?) (Probably, if you stayed at the station yesterday, it would be around here) (I climbed the slope from here…) (There was a horse on the way, etc.) (There was a cow, right?) (I’ve just climbed up there, and I’ve already reached this point) (There is an active volcano called “Nakadake” that is currently active here. )(“Nakadake” is 2km from here)(So, the topography of Aso has a strange shape, right?)(What is it?)(Then why was this made?…)(That’s why the movie It will be introduced in…)(…Please watch it)The movie has begun. I think it’s better if you don’t worry about it! After all, flies don’t eat mirei. Oh, the self-serve coffee is good too. Thank you for the meal.

So good, the best! Yeah. Okay, so…maybe it’s time to check out? Now is this time Yes, so “Fairfield by Marriott Kumamoto Aso” Oh, you’re just in front of the hotel. Sharan-kun is reflected in the entrance glass. Well, it was comfortable! Yeah. Actually, I had no expectations at all this time,

But it was really comfortable. It was interesting I also want to stay at other “Roadside Station Hotels” Now…I would like to head back to my house. Everyone, please watch the video until the end. thank you This time I introduced my stay at the Fairfield by Marriott Kumamoto Aso,

And it was a truly wonderful experience. To be honest, I didn’t have high expectations for a roadside station hotel. I felt a new possibility for a hotel specializing in rural lodging. First of all, because there is a roadside station nearby,

I was able to spend a comfortable time without having to worry about food. It was really convenient to be able to enjoy the food I brought in in the stylish lounge space. I was also surprised at how comfortable the bed was. I was able to experience the high quality beds

That can only be found in a foreign chain hotel. This area also has the magnificent natural scenery of Mt. Aso. Historic sites such as Aso Shrine and Kitasato Shibasaburo Memorial Museum There are also a variety of leisure facilities, so even families with children can have fun.

A memorable time for parents and children I thought I could spend it Next to the hotel, you can stop by and enjoy the hot springs, and there are also private baths available, so even those with small children can relax with peace of mind.

I was really impressed that I was able to choose a reasonable and stylish hotel even in the countryside. The spread of these “Roadside Station Hotels” across the country may change the way we enjoy our travels. Please come and visit Fairfield by Marriott Kumamoto Aso and enjoy your time in this wonderful place.

I’m sure you’ll have wonderful memories So that’s all for this video. If you like, please subscribe to the channel and look forward to your next trip. We also look forward to your likes and comments. Thank you very much See you again in the next video Goodbye~
