【沖縄ひとり旅】石垣島を台湾の電動バイクで巡ってみた!石垣やいま村 | 川平湾 | 米原のヤエヤマヤシ群落DAY3

Good morning! This is HIKOLOG. Today is the third day of my trip to Okinawa. Today, I’ll be touring Ishigaki Island by bike! I’m renting a bike at the remote island terminal, so let’s head there now! I’m hungry, so I’m going to buy something to eat at the store.

Got a specialty of Ishigaki Island, Onisasa🤗 Let’s dig in! This is delicious🤤 Rice balls and chicken sasami fry are a great match. The seasoning is probably sauce and mayonnaise? It seems high in calories but it’s a taste I love🤗

Onisasa originated from a store called Chinen Shokai, so let’s go eat there next time😊 It was so good, I bought another one😊 The bike rental shop opens at 9, so we’ll wait a little longer. It’s almost time, so I’ll go and register.

I rented a Gogoro electric bike made in Taiwan! The rental was 5500 yen per day. Setting up the camera, and then I’ll depart! Arrived at our first destination! First, taking some photos for Instagram📷 Gogoro is comfortable to ride and reassuring for beginners😊 By the way, you can drive it with a car license!

Observation deck for viewing the Emerald Sea There are a lot of clouds and the sea doesn’t look much emerald, but the view is still very nice〜☺️ Ishigaki Island is a nature-rich island. The hibiscus flowers are beautiful🌺 Now, let’s head to our next destination! Ishigaki Yaima Village First, I’ll buy a ticket.

The entrance fee for adults was 800 yen. Yaima Village is the southernmost theme park in Japan, set against the backdrop of lush nature and reproducing the old houses of Yaeyama. The reason I came here is for the Squirrel Monkey Forest😊

As soon as I entered and put down my bag, there were lots of squirrel monkeys🤗 It seems you can feed them for 300 yen, and when you do, lots of them gather around. Great at tightrope walking👏 Feeding them again😊 I want to join, but there’s no one to take pictures for me😂

At the watering place They’re eating fruits that look like lemons🍋 The squirrel monkeys are eating insects under the leaves. Today’s goal is to get a squirrel monkey to sit on my hand. Don’t fight, please〜😨 I’m offering my hand, but they’re not too keen on getting on it😥 You’re too close〜🤣 This one is cute🥰

Looks like it’s going to get on! Finally, it got on my hand🤗🤗🤗 Too cute🥰 Its hands are squishy and feel nice☺️ Truly palm-sized. I wish I could take it home with me🤣 Goal achieved, so let’s head to our next destination! It took about an hour to get it on my hand😂

Changing the battery at the charging station. Removing the battery from the bike, and placing it in this empty slot. There are two batteries, so I’ll do the same with the other one. After inserting the batteries and waiting a bit, the batteries come out, and then I set them on the bike.

All done🤗 Very simple. It seems I can park the bike next to the charging station, so I’ll leave it here. Kabira Bay. We’ve come to Kabira Bay, a very popular spot on Ishigaki Island. First, let’s check out the view from the Kabira Park Observatory!

You often see photos of this view😊 Now we’re going to take a ride on that glass-bottom boat. Let’s go buy tickets for the glass-bottom boat! The ticket was 1300 yen, but it became 1000 yen when I showed the Gogoro key😊 The staff is guiding us to the boat.

It’s time to set sail, so we need to hurry! We’re departing🤗 Heading to a spot where we can see fish. There are lots of little blue fish around the coral! So beautiful〜☺️ This blue coral seems to be rare. Moving to another point. Unfortunately, the sea looks a bit murky today🥺

We’ve come to the open sea. The water is getting deeper. Lots of fish here. This is the Potato Coral. And that’s a giant sea cucumber. Finally, we’ll go to a spot where the Clownfish are. It’s hard to see, but there they are! It’s Nemo🤗 There was also a giant clam.

The 30-minute tour has ended. I’m hungry, so let’s go get some lunch! Thinking of eating at a tea house right next to Kabira Bay! I ordered Soki Soba for 900 yen! Now, let’s eat! The clear soup has a gentle flavor but a solid dashi base, which is delicious🤤

The soki (pork ribs) are very tender and well stewed😊 They’re on the bone, but the meat comes off easily, making it easy to eat. I didn’t expect much as it’s a tourist spot, but I’m satisfied with this authentic Okinawa soba!

There was Koreegusu (chili-infused awamori) available, but since I’m driving today, I’ll just add some shichimi (seven-flavor chili pepper). Shichimi also goes well with Okinawa soba🤗 Thank you for the meal! Now I’ll go buy some dessert. I bought Shio Sata Andagi for 550 yen. I love sweet treats like these doughnut-like snacks☺️

They’re freshly fried and so hot they could burn😂, but the subtle saltiness makes them delicious. But they are quite sweet, so be careful not to eat too much🤔 In the end, I ate all six of them😂 Now, let’s head to our next destination! Got lost for a moment there🤣

Yonehara Palm Grove in Yonehara. Exploring the jungle🌴 The Yaeyama Palm is a species of palm that grows only on Ishigaki and Iriomote Islands, reaching 15-20 meters in height. These on either side are Yaeyama Palms. These leaves look like they could be poisonous. This tree is a Gilan Inubiwa.

After about a 5-minute walk, there was a wooden footpath. It seems like this is the end of the trail. Plenty of negative ions here🤗 Someone forgot their handkerchief😥 It wasn’t as impressive as I thought, so I’m heading back. I’ll buy and drink some juice at the shop near the entrance.

I bought sugarcane juice for 300 yen! Let’s have a drink! It’s very sweet but refreshing and easy to drink. I like sugarcane juice so much, I often buy it at night markets in Taiwan🤗 Now, let’s head back to the city area of Ishigaki Island🤗

It’s starting to rain, so I’ll stop the camera here. I got completely soaked but safely made it back to the remote island terminal and returned the bike! It’s not raining around here🌤 Going to eat sashimi at Maruha Fresh Fish. I bought tuna sashimi for 550 yen! My chopsticks broke😂

I’ll go get new chopsticks. Let’s start again and enjoy the meal! This fresh sashimi is delicious🤤 This much volume for 550 yen is a steal〜 It would be more expensive in a tavern🤔 They also sell draft beer for 600 yen here, but I’ll resist since I want it😐

Now, I’ll head back to the inn and rest! It’s evening, so let’s go out for dinner! I’m thinking of eating at Cafe Gordon! Though it’s a cafe, they have a great food menu. I ordered a Katsu Curry for 1045 yen! Let’s eat!

The curry is rich in flavor and delicious😋 Happy with the large portion! The cutlet is on the harder side but the breading is crispy😊 Getting a little tired of Okinawan cuisine, so I’m craving some regular Japanese food now😂 Well, I’m heading back to the hotel to sleep for today😴

That’s the end of today’s video. Thank you for watching till the end! I’m planning to visit the remote islands of Ishigaki Island from tomorrow😊 If you liked this video, please give it a high rating and subscribe to the channel! Thank you!
