Celsius so we are next to San Anton Antonio  SL which is a lock and behind of me there   is a special Cafe Restaurant uh if you ever visit  Amsterdam this is a kind of Cafe you should visit

Definitely yes finally I found my gloves t spot  is coming to this direction this a popular spot   in distance you can see on the right side the  green uh Nemo science Museum now I am ready we can

Continue all right everybody is here we are  starting a bit late sorry about that but most of   our regular watches are here I think it’s an empty  TBO it’s prity because of the weather I guess and  

This is San Antonio slous it’s a lock so this is  an icon building a Cafe Restaurant nowadays but   in the past in the 17th century it was built for  a municipality officer that municipality officer   was living here and his duty was taking care  of this water lock and this lock San Antonio  

Lock have two function had two functions in that  times the first one uh to not allow to enter the   enemy ships into the city the city was after this  lock I mean the border of the city and the second  

Uh the flow out am river water from the city  so that two functions it was built for that   Municipal municipality officer he was living here  in this building nowadays it’s a Cafe Restaurant   as you see it’s a leaning building on the second  floor look at that they are sitting there in a  

Leaning floor the SL SW in distance you can see  the ladders over there you can hire the hire the   building or one floor for the company parties Etc  as I see on their website the rental price is €  

100 and the minimum consumption is €350 with that  price you can have a special private part here   if you want there is a beautiful Terrace in the  summer you can sit here you can have a bottle and  

There are beautiful D snack options like bitter  bow and fries and uh C sufle or freand all the   Dutch street foods you can find it here it’s a  special place an iconic building next to an San  

Antonio lock here it is and the first paint first  picture of this log is by rembrand rbrand f r you   know the world renowned Dutch artist painter he  is the first one who painted San Antonio’s lock  

This one however when he painted the building  the the lock the building was not here so in his   paint you can see only the lock and the water here  anyways the other side it’s also special you see  

That there is on moon rbrand meat rembrand uh the  right side that uh red shattered wind building is   uh currently it’s rembrand House museum that you  can see rembrand uh works and some of the pains   I guess I’ve never been there it’s pretty but I  know something about that rbrand lived here this  

Building is the reason why rbrand went bankrupt  he bought this house with uh with a huge mortgage   and he couldn’t afford that when he bought this  house he was on the top of his carer and then  

Uh the plan didn’t work well so he couldn’t pay  the mortgage amounts then he had to uh left the   building and it was sold in an auction and then  for hundreds of years I mean he lived here in the  

Midd of 17th century but after that it was sold  to someone else rembrand the painter moved to   yordan area the to the poor neighborhood to the  workingclass neighborhood and the building was   used for different purposes uh throughout the  centuries only in 1907 Amsterdam municipality  

Bought this building from the owner and then it’s  uh transformed to rbrand museum it was donated to   rbrand foundation so since then it’s a museum  so you can visit uh after it was transformed   to to a museum uh Queen willina was the first  visitor on this place anyways we are in water  

Loop line we still have a Christmas tree here you  see after some historical information we going to   walk through uh our usual touristic streets we  have a coffee shop here ref here and just around   the corner you can see the top of the tower over  there it’s Southern church Southern church Z K

Recommendation uh around Balmer Arena Balmer  Arena of Amsterdam from Central Station to   Balmer arena there is a Metro it takes like 15  or 20 minutes there is a hostel over there a   own hostels a own hostels is the cheapest one  and there’s a direct Metro connection so you  

Can easily arrive to Amsterdam Centrum only you  spend 20 minutes something like that and the last   Metro is at 12:00 uh there is a district it’s  called bul Uh I can read later maybe but it’s   the pronunciation pronunciation is BU there is  a on hostels check check that one it’s not far  

Away from Amsterdam City Centrum and there’s a  direct Metro connection and is probably is the   cheapest one when you consider the distance  to the Centum look at the colors beautiful   beautiful we have still Christmas tree here and  behind the castle looking building is the former  

City hall uh like for 30 years it was used as a  museum Amsterdam History Museum and before that   it was Ving Centrum where Traders were waking  the their goods also a tax calculation building   and before that it was a City Gate that was the  place where the people get into the city after  

Paying some taxes nowadays it’s a restaurant  Cafe you can sit inside or outside and you can   get some Dutch snacks or food other options  or you can just get a beer and here there’s   area there’s a local market as I know almost  every day there’s a small local market here  

And the square is surrounded with many uh bars  restaurants and also coffee shops that are also   Spanish for example po Loco is a Spanish kind  of bar and restaurant Cafe D Mondo also it’s   the same there are a there’s a few uh coffee  shop over there green places the Baker thiser  

Cafe Bakery something behind the building  behind the walk there is zik the China chinat Town which we’re going to walk through now and if you need cash there’s ATM there’s  an ATM here next to Albert time in Amsterdam  

There are not many ATMs for cash payments  so this is one of them another one is at   Dum square there’s an Albert time here  if you want to buy something more budget   friendly it’s a supermarket so if you  cannot afford the restaurant if it’s  

If it’s looking more expensive to you you  can just get into albertin there are ready   sandwiches for lunch or there are salads  fruits Boxes Etc they might be more budget friendly [Music] hello ggm Ron good to see you and  Mona first time I see your name welcome from

Ideas about the life in Amsterdam it’s a quite  different life going on in the near parts of the   city considering Amsterdam Centrum I’m comparing  to Amsterdam Centrum so this is the restaurant inside it’s a great place you can enjoy your  dinner or lunch in a historic building Once

Use 99% of locals they use either debit card or  cash usually no one use credit card here they   follow their budget so be aware that if you want  to use your credit cards not everywhere except   in the touristic City Centrum yes many places  are accepting credit card but if you just walk

There’s a lot music you can hear that it’s  a ja bar I also there’s a jazz music inside   it’s also beer bar but their whiskies are more  popular you can find even Indian whiskies India whiskies and the bartenders work  there they have a great knowledge  

About whiskies and the recommendations  there are whiskey tasting place that   you can try small pieces of different  whiskies different kind of whiskies Uh it’s a kind of Museum Martin yes you  are right the interior the decoration is   really good is there are so many old piece of Arts inside uh what else let me see what else other than there are a lot of  Italian and Argentinian restaurants and Ma  

Places and another Tha restaurant and Malaysian  restaurant is here TI Prince Little TI prins   this is a famous one it looks empty maybe  it’s closed kazablanka and there’s a very   famous lgbtq friendly Place musini theat Cafe  and Restaurant is pretty famous in the pride  

In August when there’s a Pride Celebration they  placed the big stage here and there’s a Li music   Queen’s head is also the similar one and there’s  a ramen restaurant here also it’s pretty busy

The music is not loud you can still speak to  talk to your friends with Comforts and there   are other beer choices also generally the  prices are around 5 they have geners they   have bottled beers latra pble something  they are a bit more expensive but not much  

Considering it’s a brown bar so the prices  are much better than the Tristy bars they   have whiskey options Gan how about what else  Jagger mice or something and jors D geners uh loyal personally I usually choose loyal 5  years old 6 the small J where you you can drink  

It like for 40 minutes slowly it’s the alcohol  percentage is pretty much and there is no food   here only food option is and three three kind  of food option your snack uh the cheese cheese   plate with uh cheese pieces or the RO sausage  and liver because it’s a brown bar They don’t
