Inside the Taliban’s Most Notorious City (Afghanistan) š¦š«
Welcome to kaha city in AfghanistanĀ now the Taliban controller city isĀ Ā the home of the Taliban this is whereĀ the Taliban were formed and all theĀ Ā leaders are now living here so thisĀ is the past Jun area it’s extremelyĀ Ā
Conservative in this city but I’ve stillĀ been told it’s one of the best places to come Alum oh religious qus it’s the Quran heĀ is a madasa student and he is buying this forĀ Ā
Starting in a m what does he want to be whatĀ do they want to be when they’re older huh muĀ Ā oh wow he wants to be mujah I I remember thatĀ word wow amazing so he wants to be muah I saidĀ Ā
The war is over why do you want to be does thatĀ mean Soldier yeah oh wow like uh for Taliban orĀ Ā separate wow is his his parents in Taliban heĀ M biggest religion his dad oh okay wellow whatĀ Ā
Is the madas the madasa is a religion schoolĀ they study religion at the madasa okay so heĀ Ā is a religion student religion schoolĀ student does he know the Quran off by heart yes is he educated in normal otherĀ subjects like uh English and maths no inĀ Ā
The madasa the study only religion no noĀ uh mathematics no science nothing nothingĀ Ā no computer so that’s all they do they justĀ they just read the K all day yeah thank you Manana wow that is so eye opening to just see aĀ little kid who wants to be a Taliban Soldier whenĀ Ā
He grows up and all he has ever known is IslamĀ he’s never studied anything else and his fatherĀ Ā has just taught him to do that when he’s older soĀ the pastan people are the most common people inĀ Ā
Kaha and they are famous world famous for theirĀ Hospitality so we’re going to be saying some ofĀ Ā that today hopefully they’re fiercely devoted toĀ their tribe and they treat the guest as the GodĀ Ā
And it’s also important to note that Taliban areĀ also all paston you have to be P to be part of the Taliban good be a bin we’ll keep moving thank you heĀ offered tea but he didn’t have any to make soĀ Ā
He had to go and buy some that’s the pastanĀ hospitality they just uh immediately want toĀ Ā help the guest even though he was workingĀ in a butcher shop so not the best place toĀ Ā have tea but uh yeah so I’ve noticed in kahaĀ the people are a little bit more shy it’s aĀ Ā
Little bit more conservative here actuallyĀ a lot more conservative there’s there’s noĀ Ā women on the streets at all can’t see a womenĀ Insight whereas in the north uh you can it’s aĀ Ā bit more liberal Salam Alum Salam Alum uh butĀ like still everyone so friendly giving me a smile yes I
Agree I said he wants to go to America he thinks English okay let’s go where’s that let’s go be how many pomegranates does he sell in one dayĀ Ā oh wow so he so he should be takingĀ the tickets to England he’s he’s got
Money thank you nice they’re just um they’re soĀ inquis they just want they’re so like inquisitiveĀ Ā they just want to know they’re just obviouslyĀ don’t see foreigners and they just look at youĀ Ā like in such an inquisitive way they’re justĀ like who is that guy some of the buildings lookĀ Ā
Newer like this one and then some of them lookĀ super old and it’s just going to show like kahaĀ Ā is one of the oldest settlements in the worldĀ look at this looks like we’ve been transportedĀ Ā back 100 years we got the Taliban Flags wavingĀ High and the interesting thing is here is hardĀ Ā
To find out who’s Taliban or not usually I canĀ spot them because they’re wearing the pastanĀ Ā Hat whereas kind of everyone’s wearing themĀ here so it’s kind of hard to figure out butĀ Ā once you see the guns then you realize they’reĀ probably Taliban it looks good yeahum is it looksĀ Ā
Good and and you’re Muslim no no no muslim n whyĀ because I’m born in a non-muslim country English englan probably shouldn’t be uh spreadingĀ that information too much wow so we justĀ Ā went off the random street and we’veĀ come across a little Park where lotsĀ Ā
Of families are playing on the trampolineĀ and as you can see the uh the houses areĀ Ā all made out of mud it looks like a aĀ movie set over here maybe I’ve seen tooĀ Ā many Hollywood movies about Afghanistan butĀ yeah feels like a movie here here are the boys nice to meet
You good good good oh wow that’s soĀ kind thank you so much but uh maybeĀ Ā we can have ch you like a leaderĀ giving a speech to these peopleĀ Ā everyone be good study hard and uh and beĀ good people he he has a question for you
Can you can see also very interesting ifĀ you look at the faces everyone looks veryĀ Ā different we’ve got people who look Indian likeĀ he looks Indian he looks Pakistani a little bitĀ Ā English then we got like Asian Afghani IranianĀ what about me you look Afghani really yeah youĀ Ā
Look Afghani maybe a little bit of Asian thankĀ you but like some of these look Indian some ofĀ Ā these look Iranian so and there’s even I’veĀ said this before but there’s actually peopleĀ Ā in Afghanistan that look English that’sĀ why people sometimes think I’m Afghani
Am can I ride your bike okay going I’m takingĀ his bike for a spin okay oh it’s got no breakĀ Ā it’s got no break W I’m never going to see myĀ guide again I’m going off to join the TalibanĀ Ā
Goodbye all right oh I got no brakes I’ve gotĀ no brakes ah all right they didn’t tell me itĀ Ā had no brakes all right I think he thinks I’veĀ stolen his bike okay see this is the first placeĀ Ā
I’ve been to in the world where they have theĀ sewers are not covered over pretty awesome andĀ Ā then like yeah I’m just fascinated by thisĀ like mud walls I don’t know why I just findĀ Ā it super interesting hello I’m going to teachĀ you English first lesson of English say helloĀ Ā
Hello hello hello hey hello helloo very good veryĀ good so now when they see me white people they go hello H hello there we go lesson one is overĀ lesson two tomorrow okay hold off is there weĀ Ā
Go so the kids can come here for free and go onĀ the trampoline it is not free that’s oh my GodĀ Ā he’s making into a little theme park yeah wowĀ I’m going on the trampoline with all the kidsĀ Ā
That sounds very wrong you’re welcome I didn’tĀ do anything then you can pay the owner of theĀ Ā this thing y to let everyone to play it is not itĀ is very cheap for example if you pay him like 500Ā Ā
He will let everyone to play here okay let’s do itĀ I’m going to pay for all of the kids to go on the trampoline let’s go be a bin go go go hello I’m good how are you I’mĀ fine thank you what’s your name my name isĀ Ā
Was your name too my name is Harry Harry whereĀ are you from I’m from englishan englistan wowĀ Ā my favorite place oh really my favorite place isĀ Afghanistan yes right what he said here uh sorryĀ Ā what am I doing here yeah uh making YouTubeĀ videos YouTube videos yeah you have a channelĀ Ā
I do in YouTube yes yeah yeah yeah what’sĀ your job I’m a clerk clerk nice how is lifeĀ Ā in Afghanistan it’s all fine good yeah niceĀ you just come here after work yeah okay be a bin I am the British champion of trampolining theyĀ didn’t realize that I’m about to kill these boys
Ready they’re trying to kill me theyĀ they’re ganging up on me so I bounce pretty high this is the uh the ownerĀ the trampoline has bared wire uhoh it’s going to get aĀ bit crazy hey hey calm down uhĀ Ā this looks like some kind of crazyĀ border crossing come on come on come
On let’s go all right I’m goingĀ to try and not knock one of them out they’re doing back flips these guys are crazyĀ [Applause] just hit one of them oh my God so it’s timeĀ to get off he he just whipsĀ Ā
Them all right get off all rightĀ I’m not sure if I agree with that but don’t don’t whip them don’t don’t whip themĀ don’t whip them I guess this is the Afghan way wa you can see they all have dirty facesĀ because I think half of them have been workingĀ Ā
All day which is absolutely crazy they’re likeĀ literally under 10 years old and they’ve been working makes you super grateful looks likeĀ all the kids in town have heard about it umĀ Ā okay also you got to be careful I’m not filmingĀ the girls here but I’ve told him to let the girlsĀ Ā
On next because they’re waiting at the backĀ patiently and all the boys are pushed in for thank you so I just gave him500 that’s Ā£5Ā $5 $6 to let all these kids on it’s I thinkĀ Ā it’s pretty good deal I won’t film the girlsĀ going on he keeps whipping them which is badĀ Ā
I won’t film the girls going on but uh yeahĀ the girls are going on which is nice to see also they like that you’reĀ vlogging take [Laughter] it what is that alhamdulillah what’s this Sim what isĀ that they cook it it is like pasta oh it’sĀ Ā
Like Italian pasta but the Afghan version of itĀ wow that’s awesome nice to meet you literallyĀ Ā does not know a word of English but we stillĀ have that connection and also it’s pretty scaryĀ Ā because um a lot of the guys when they’re drivingĀ they have like a full scarf around their face soĀ Ā
You can only see their eyes so they look likeĀ they look kind of scary if I’m honest and thenĀ Ā yeah also the women you can only see their [Music]Ā eyes s good chai good chai no it’s okay thank you
Zind Afghanistan zindabad good good good z uhĀ English town yeah yeah yeah chai is he askingĀ Ā chai uh it’s okay later thank you MananaĀ Manana Manana it is sugar oh he has sugarĀ Ā
Cane okay can I try a bit Tor Tor as you can seeĀ whenever I’m standing in one spot for more thanĀ Ā a minute I get a crowd I just try a littleĀ bit so this is dried sugar cane oh wow very
Hard that’s super sweet wow okay it’sĀ kind of dirty as well so I’m not goingĀ Ā to have too much but yeah it tastesĀ good to be be back super super superĀ Ā sweet okay thank you manananaĀ does he want some money for it
Uh for me thank you this very kind he’sĀ just giving me sugar cane I think he sheĀ Ā is this who’s is this for me he got meĀ chai okay it’s very good we got some ofĀ Ā
The green tea in it oh I’m dropping it veryĀ good we got a crowd we’re going to keep goingĀ Ā cuz it’s getting a bit too crowded andĀ uh the best thing in these places whenĀ Ā everyone’s staring at you and you’reĀ in a foreign area is so just keep keep
Moving hey leave him alone leave him alone Ah yes Afghanistan zindabad tell okay nice to meet you okayĀ we got the bread man and this guy justĀ Ā seems to be transporting so what you canĀ do is you can get a job just transportingĀ Ā things in a wheelbarrow I’m not sureĀ exactly how much you get paid probablyĀ Ā
Not much but uh yeah you can you can doĀ that so that’s a pretty interesting thingĀ Ā you can just do that for a job and justĀ it’s kind of like freelance you work for whoever I’m good oh you speak English yesĀ I speak English Okay so they got Rings theĀ Ā
Afghanis love the big rings with the rocks inĀ which one do you want this is like G for youĀ Ā gift you are two kinds not money I canĀ pay I can pay I I feel bad like taking
Thank you there we go are you sure I cannot giveĀ you some money no no no no no no no you are tooĀ Ā kind this is gift for you not by money thisĀ is the only you’re welcome to my shop thank
You wow let just goes to show although I have toĀ say k is probably the most intense City I’ve beenĀ Ā to but it’s also the kindest so they got ice underĀ this I I see this all the time in Asian I neverĀ Ā
Really understand how does this ice not melt youĀ just keeping it under the the cotton but it’s notĀ Ā going to melt it melts but very slowly oh it’sĀ crazy kind of so dirty but just so they do thisĀ Ā
Everywhere in Asia because obviously they theyĀ don’t have access to uh freezers you know it’sĀ Ā very hard to keep things cold here so this is whyĀ they do it just wearing out the ice and as you canĀ Ā
See like just so many kids working here and justĀ like just a different world completely differentĀ Ā world got to be careful when we’re crossing theĀ road and you can see behind us we’ve got likeĀ Ā the military kind of walls and watchtowers butĀ you see a lot of in Afghanistan but I’ve hardlyĀ Ā
Filmed well I haven’t filmed any of them if I’mĀ honest because uh you got to be really carefulĀ Ā about filming those you get into trouble butĀ there every everywhere I’m in Afghanistan andĀ Ā I’m going to try some drugs Alum so we have theĀ famous Nas which if I’m not mistaken is a drugĀ Ā
Uh it is tobacco but if you use it you will useĀ to it you it’s not it’s legal it is legal yeahĀ Ā can I try a bit try would you not recommend itĀ no I don’t recommend you you will you will feelĀ Ā
Like vomiting really yeah all right I’ve comeĀ into contact with this in in India and Pakistan um should I just put it in for like one minuteĀ yeah you can how long would it take to get toĀ Ā
Feel it uh don’t keep it in your mouth forĀ 1 minute how much how much what do what doĀ Ā I do I put it in my do I put it in hereĀ yes it looks it looks a little bit likeĀ Ā
Under your your tongue under my tongueĀ yeah or in here just behind stinks areĀ Ā you sure it’s not poo it looks like poo he’sĀ just pranking me okay apparently it’s very strong yeah and wait a minute noĀ one minute you just try the tastĀ Ā
And just I can feel it straightĀ away like stinging oh wow it stings yeah can’t feel it maybe inĀ a few minutes I’ll I feel it okay interesting thank you so much hold upĀ is even they don’t make you pay forĀ Ā
Drugs here I feel it now bye-byeĀ you keep for the first time youĀ Ā feel like sick and vomiting reallyĀ yeah but it’s tobacco yeah it is tobacco now we have come to the very outskirtsĀ of kaha because we are meeting the nomadicĀ Ā
People of Afghanistan yes I didn’t knowĀ there were nomadic people in AfghanistanĀ Ā until my guy told me so I’m happy andĀ we’re going to speak to them find outĀ Ā more about what life is like as a nomad inĀ the most dangerous country in the world um
Nanan Gan okay num har numar he’s the headĀ of the tribe here and that’s their mosque ohĀ Ā okay okay you see they’ve got the goats overĀ there they keep them in the pen and this isĀ Ā
The house they got a cover and it’s made ofĀ clay and we’re going to have a little chatĀ Ā wow it’s not I was expecting it to be superĀ hot in here cuz it’s very hot outside butĀ Ā
It’s not we’ got bamboo we’ve got wood we gotĀ decorations and then lots of rugs and pillowsĀ Ā can you ask him what they what they all doĀ for dayto day what’s the normal Day in the
Life oh so it’s just he he he just goes for theĀ day and he doesn’t know what he’s going to get wow I need to create relationship orĀ at least know that it’s going I don’tĀ Ā know where the money’s going so why doĀ they do that why do they not live in one
Place what would happen if someone tried to sayĀ this was their land they would have an argumentĀ Ā over it yeah has that happened recently yeah manyĀ times they don’t really uh try to send their kidsĀ Ā
To the school no it doesn’t seem like they do theyĀ don’t I think they don’t know the worth of theĀ Ā education yeah they don’t have any hope to theirĀ future they happy with this stand simple life yeah so I’m guessing everything isĀ arranged marriage and if they’reĀ Ā
Moving does that mean that theyĀ have to marry people within the tribe what do they think of the western world and then maybe just last one like doĀ they do they have any questions they wantĀ Ā
To ask me he is asking about your life howĀ is your life uh my life is just I’ve had aĀ Ā very easy life like uh compared to them IĀ was very lucky to be born where I was bornĀ Ā
And I’m very grateful for that I I count myĀ blessings every day but I’ve also worked hardĀ Ā to get to my position where I can now come toĀ these countries and yeah I’m trying to makeĀ Ā these videos to change people’s perceptionĀ of Afghanistan because the world thinks thatĀ Ā
Afghanistan is dangerous and I’m tryingĀ to show them that it’s a safe place bringĀ Ā more tourists more tourists come with moneyĀ they spend the money helps people like him wellow when you come out it’s really bright feelĀ like I’ve just woken up and we’re going to go andĀ Ā
Have a look at the mosque over here and thenĀ this is the the goats oh hello Messi this isĀ Ā where the mosque is slash will be in the futureĀ so I’m just going to give them like $100 becauseĀ Ā
They invited me in and obviously you can tell IĀ mean it’s not much money but I can’t even get it out thank you so much I just said we’ve arrivedĀ at the flower Mill area here in kaha as you canĀ Ā
Hear it’s very loud but we’re going to findĀ out a little bit more about what people doĀ Ā here sing is Uncle shop and he is working forĀ his uncle and he’s making some flour wow canĀ Ā
I see so he picks up the wheat from here andĀ then shs it in here and then it comes out intoĀ Ā here as the flower very good can you ask himĀ like how many they produce in one day how many
Bags and then how much is a sack worth oneĀ tag is uh like 49 kilos and here it costĀ Ā like uh 18 or 1,700 so like uh $22 $22 okayĀ he go to does he go to school no he doesn’tĀ Ā
Go wow cuz he just has to work to provide yeahĀ you you probably noticed that so manual laborĀ Ā intensive here there’s not a lot of machinesĀ they doing everything by hand and this thisĀ Ā elder gentleman here is working very hard intoĀ his I’m going to guess he’s like 60 how old is
He 72 oh 72 wow and he’s still workingĀ very hard doing the manual labor seeĀ Ā guys yeah you should be very gratefulĀ most people in the west have retired atĀ Ā that age but he’s still working hardĀ not complaining in this heat as well
Yeah it’s a tough life but oftenĀ people are too busy to even thinkĀ Ā about happiness happiness doesn’t even comeĀ to the equation he’s just busy working hisĀ Ā whole life does he have family he has nineĀ kids he made M he has 12 12 he got his heĀ Ā
Got his amount of kids wrong he was likeĀ I’ve got nine kids oh wait no I’ve got 12 kids I said you are a nice man but I saidĀ it wrong I’m still practicing my past youĀ Ā guys have noticed that I’ve switched fromĀ Persian to uh to Paso there’s multipleĀ Ā
Different languages here in AfghanistanĀ Alum so we’ve seen this before it comesĀ Ā around with the uh the smelling Stones ohĀ and it’s supposed to like Ward away all theĀ Ā spirits I probably made that probably saidĀ that wrong but we’ll give him a little bitĀ Ā
Of money don’t know how much I gave himĀ then it was either 50 or 500 I think IĀ Ā gave him 500 cuz he smiled smiling oh wellĀ can you ask him how much he earns in one
Day thank you Manana so yeah we just gaveĀ him his daily pay okay thank you the levelĀ Ā of English is so bad here like most people are aĀ literate I don’t even think they can write theirĀ Ā own language from what I’ve been SS and thatĀ just reflects the level of Education here inĀ Ā
Afghanistan it’s just not that great can youĀ ask them what’s their favorite thing about Afghanistan the climate here in K high isĀ super dry heat we’re in the desert prettyĀ Ā much most of the buildings are made of likeĀ mud or clay they’ve all got flat roofs itĀ Ā
Feels like pretty different world here it feelsĀ like a bit of a movie set if I’m honest cuz it’sĀ Ā just like is your name oh wow great EnglishĀ my name is Harry what is your name what isĀ Ā
Your name what is your name my name is myĀ name is par parik nice to meet you how areĀ Ā you I’m good his English is very good I’m fineĀ good and you I’m very good thank you thank you
Manana we’ve traveled to the outskirts of kahaĀ it’s kaha over there because we have come toĀ Ā the tomb of b boy W hope I said that right he isĀ a saint in the Muslim history and he performedĀ Ā
Many miracles um similar to The Miracles thatĀ Jesus uh had performed and now this is the tombĀ Ā where he is uh kept and you can see like theĀ decorations here is so beautiful and then itĀ Ā goes all the way up here and it’s just like veryĀ peaceful lots of nature mountains around very
Cool so this is one of the most popularĀ guest houses from the previous governmentĀ Ā in Afghanistan and as you can see it’s beenĀ completely destroyed luckily it’s still standingĀ Ā actually but um it’s been completely destroyedĀ it was part of a a suicide bomb uh explosionĀ Ā
A few years ago and this used to be the placeĀ where many people would come and stay for theĀ Ā night like a hotel guest house unfortunatelyĀ now it’s just like literally Rubble but likeĀ Ā you can imagine this is like a really cool placeĀ to come kind of like a getaway just outside ofĀ Ā
The city we’ve stopped at the side of theĀ road for some delicious pomegranate juiceĀ Ā and sugar cane juice we got both so I’m goingĀ to get bothum you good I get one and one theĀ Ā pomegranate juice uses the hand press and theĀ sugar cane juice uses the machine we’ve alsoĀ Ā
Got the Taliban flag on the sugarcane juice soĀ it’s a Taliban machine we know the drill that’s it nice as H oh there we go thank you very much thank you soĀ he does own both that’s pretty entrepreneurial ofĀ Ā
Him he’s got the sugar cane and the pomegranateĀ they’re both very different drinks one’s veryĀ Ā sweet this one’s a little bit sour so dependsĀ on what mood you’re in then he makes this by hand this is the first time I’ve ever hadĀ a sugar cane and a pomegranate juice atĀ Ā
The same time there’s only one way toĀ do this and it’s quick and it’s fastĀ Ā you ready it’s going to be a magic trickĀ you’re going to try and do it in war wi one oh so sweet oh my God keep going it’s a lot of
Liquid that’s the most Harry wooĀ how is this I prefer this thisĀ Ā is so bitter literally like my wholeĀ skin has gone crazy but very very goodĀ Ā this one’s probably healthier thisĀ one’s just sugar but it’s natural
Sugar welcome to NFC not KFC this is NFC TheĀ Afghani version of KFC let’s see whether it addsĀ Ā up to our expectations oh my God here we go thankĀ you wow I’ve never seen Manu like this before it’sĀ Ā
Like a little dumpling this is obviously theĀ Asian influence and we got some yogurt in there tomato that’s so good I don’t think I’ve everĀ tasted that’s the best dumpling I’ve ever hadĀ Ā I know it’s not technically a dumpling it’s soĀ delicious how you up alhamdulillah alhamdulillahĀ Ā
So my friend here was sitting on the next tableĀ and he’s like uh come for dinner and I was justĀ Ā like we’ve just eaten and he was like okayĀ I’m going to get you an energy drink I’m likeĀ Ā
It’s it’s like 8:00 p.m. but fine I’ll have anĀ energy drink T Manana Manana Haj oh we got toĀ Ā film him thank you tell him um if he had one oneĀ message to tell the world what what is his message
Here we go this is going to keepĀ me up all night taking a picture of I’ve been to 40 countries AfghanistanĀ is number one Hospitality in the worldĀ Ā sorry Pakistan I’m I’m you’veĀ been knocked off the number one spot alhamdulillah masah

šššššhhhhh oh my gosh you killed me with laughing man when you had a shave with that man in Kabul š š
I,m pashtoon afghan
2:25 correction: you have to be Afghan or Muslim to be part of Taliban
Do not creat negative image of this country by typing dangerous or such other words.the country has always tried to protect it's homeland
When I was visiting Morocco , my father brought the imams son to me. He handed me a Quran and said pick a random page and verse and he will know it by heart. He really did know every page in the book.
But as soon as his father left ( the head imam) the son started talking about women and partying hahah, good memories
You think that the people of Afghanistan are different from the government, but 80% of the population are with the Taliban and think the same as Taliban. You have been made to think of Taliban as evil and extremists by the propaganda of your governments. Don't forget your history of colonialism and still-continuing support of colonialism before you judge others and impose you ideals on them. Imposing your ideals on others is the very definition of intolerance and extremism.
I love Afghanistan people all of them
Love from Kurdistan ā¤ā¤ā¤
I am looking you from Nepalšš³šµ

I belong to Pakistan. There are basically two extremist schools of thought in the world. One says that we only have to practice religion, religion and religion and the other one says that we only have to live a good life, he does not care about the hereafter. But Islam says to follow religion and live good life. Islam is not at all against wealth, even though Last Prophet (peace be upon him) said that if you have wealth, show it because Allah is beautiful and loves beauty.
I have been following you from a while, you have grow a lot and absolute treat. Go Harry!
Thank you Harry, for visiting my country and meeting the Afghan people and I hope you have a nice trip and enjoyed visiting Afghanistan.
Those criticizing the soldier for not shaking hands should consider the historical context and his perspective towards the West. Perhaps he holds a negative view due to past colonization, making it difficult for him to forgive and leading to his refusal to shake hands, in his opinion, they were colonizing his country.
That's why in Syria, Gaza, Afghanistan etc…etc… you can't co-exist with them. They trained theirs kids to be terrorist.
I wathed videos about poor childrens in afganishtan, so after that, i search "afganishtan" on youtube and i found your videos man.
Bro your translator told you that madrasa students are not taught math history but everything is taught even english he gave you wrong information now everything is taught
Brother taliban also know english and know everything to run country u will see modern afghanistan in next five to ten years
Harry, you are a good human being. Bringing joy to the kids of a land which was destroyed by wars in last two decades. Only few people can do that and it is coming from someone from Western country like UK. I wish we have more humans like you on this planet. Keep up the good work buddy.
Good work Hary showing Afghanistan ā¤thank you so much

Inspite of poverty people are not begging …. Like in other countries
