【道の駅めぐり#35:前編】 和歌山県 おくとろ | 三重県観光&道の駅めぐり : 鬼ヶ城・獅子巌・花の窟・パーク七里御浜・ウミガメ公園【vlog】
Hello, this is Tabidora. Thank you for always watching (^^) Today is Part 35 of the roadside station tour. It is a 1 night 2 day trip to complete Wakayama prefecture roadside station stamps. Enter Yoshino Town, Nara Prefecture. I said “Wakayama Prefecture Roadside Station Stamp Complete Journey”. Why are you in Nara?
Please listen to me for a moment. It happened the other day. The stamp book at the roadside station is starting to fall apart. Also, I conquered Kyoto with 3 stations and Wakayama with 2 stations. What’s left is. Kyoto Prefecture Tenki Tenki Tango Kyoto Prefecture Tango Kingdom “Food Miyako”
Kumihama, Kyoto Prefecture SAN KAI KAN Kyoto has three remaining. There are many roadside station stamps. I have a lot of memories with each one (^^) There are two other roadside stations in Wakayama: Mushikuiwa Rock and Taiji. Huh!? Wasn’t Roadside Station Okutoro in Mie Prefecture? I looked at the map in a hurry…
I thought it was Mie Prefecture and had put a yellow mark on it (TT) Roadside Station Okutoro was in Wakayama Prefecture. … You’ll understand if you check it with a regular stamp book. I should have visited Okutoro Roadside Station when I went to Dorokyo Kaido Kumanogawa. . .
Wakayama Prefecture has 3 more in addition to “Okutoro”. Wakayama Prefecture Mushikuiwa Wakayama Prefecture Taiji Kinki Roadside Station I will do my best to conquer all the 6 more! I noticed something here again. Is it still there? Sorry for asking so many times… m(_ _)m
It should be Kinki Roadside Stations 147/152 that I have cleared so far… but if there are 6 more, the calculations won’t add up. . . I checked the stamp rally book and found the cause. Roadside stations in Wakayama Prefecture, Katsuragi Nishi (inbound) and Katsuragi Nishi (downbound), were counted separately. So it’s currently 146/152.
I don’t really care… why am I in Nara now? If you’re coming from the Nara area, you can get to the roadside station Okutoro without using the expressway ♪
And since Okutoro is on the border between Wakayama and Mie prefectures, I’d like to do some sightseeing and visit the roadside stations in Mie Prefecture. So, Tabidora is going on a 1 night 2 day trip to Mie Prefecture sightseeing Wakayama Roadside Station complete trip. Traveling heals the shock that you may have overlooked.
The schedule for the first day looks like this. The introduction is long, but…(^^; Please join us if you like (^0^)/ I’m driving along National Route 169 along the Yoshino River. It’s been a year since I last drove, and I’m glad the weather was nice. ♪ What is that!?
There are letters written on the rock! Let’s take a closer look. What on earth is it?
Shozaburo Tsuchikura was born into a family of foresters in Otaki, Kawakami Village, Yoshino District, Nara Prefecture, and developed the traditional Yoshino Forestry industry. He was a person who spread the significance of tree planting throughout the country and preached the idea of “forestry as a nation.”
This rock is called Yorigakeiwa, and the stone monument carved into the cliff with letters praising the achievements of the old man Tsuchikura is a book that taught Shozaburo Tsuchikura about forestry. It was planned by Seiroku Ta. There is also a chronology of Mr. Shozaburo Tsuchikura’s accomplishments.
Legend has it that Minamoto no Yoshitsune hung his armor on this armored rock. Thank you very much. Roadside Station Tour The morning sun is dazzling. I’m a little hungry, so I’m going to have breakfast at the roadside station Kamikitayama ahead. I enter Kamikitayama Village in Nara Prefecture.
The roadside station Kamikitayama is 3km away. Gasoline If you see the stand, the roadside station is almost there. The building with the triangular roof is the roadside station Kamikitayama. The cherry blossoms in the parking lot here are in full bloom in spring. If you like, please also watch this video (^^)
This There is a river when you go down the stairs. Tabidora likes this view so much that you can’t help but stop by. It’s a roadside station seen from below. It’s a great location surrounded by blue skies and green mountains. And there’s a river below. It’s great to have it.
I feel relieved when I come here (^^) Breakfast is a mixed sandwich and coffee. This chopstick rest is very good. Thank you very much! I’m heading to the roadside station Okutoro. This view is nice That’s right! Turn left at the next intersection. Turn left here. It’s 9 km to Kitayama.
Passing through the Fudo tunnel is Wakayama Prefecture. Enter Kitayama Village, Wakayama Prefecture. It’s 8 km to Michi-no-Eki Okutoro. Actually, this I’ve passed by the road once before. It was when I went to see the insect feed at Maruyama Senmaida. I
Was looking at the roadside station sign, but I thought it was Mie Prefecture and passed by. It’s the same thing now . Driving on the road (TT) Let’s think it’s great to be able to drive on a scenic road again. What a beautiful view! It’s the best!
The roadside station Okutoro came into view on the left. This place is spacious. It’s close to the mountains and has a nice view. The roadside station is here. The arriving raincoat is cute. This is the Okutoro Onsen shop.It ‘s a hot spring. It ‘s a cottage.Kitayama
Village in Wakayama Prefecture is the only village in Japan that borders other municipalities within the prefecture. It seems that it is an enclave village.
There are many places in Japan where you can go down the river, but Kitayama Village is the only place where you can go down the river using a raft made of logs. Just imagining going down the river through the great outdoors on a raft built by a raft maker sounds like fun.
Yellow ginkgo trees stand out against the blue sky. There are bungalows and a campground at the back of the park. It looks like it’s going to be fun with the play equipment ♪ The view of the Kitayama River is also wonderful.
It looks like it would be fun to take a leisurely stroll along the promenade. There are also many cherry blossom trees here, so it seems nice to come here in spring. The gradation of autumn leaves is beautiful. It seems like some sort of animal gathering is being held.
The piece was called “Moonlit Banquet.” You can refresh yourself by taking a walk along the river. It’s refreshing, slightly sweet, and has a refreshing aftertaste. I almost forgot the stamp. I successfully got the stamp. Next destination is Onigajo! thank you very much! Onigajo is 33.6 km away. Warp back the way you came.
When I arrived, I entered Route 169 from the next intersection. Nanairo Dam is located on the prefectural border. The scenery reflected on the water surface is beautiful! From here is Mie Prefecture. Enter Kumano City, Mie Prefecture. It’s nice to drive while admiring the autumn leaves along the road. Onigajo is 8 km away.
It looks like the road and the clouds are running parallel to each other. Turn left after 200m to reach Onigajo. Parking is free and 500 meters away. We have arrived. There is Onigajo Oni! It’s impressive! Onigajo Center. This is the legendary demon “Tamaru”. It is said to be made by Nachi Kuroishi.
The island in front of you is Mimaruga-island, where there is a legend that Sakanoue Tamuramaro defeated Tayamaru. *Admission is free. From now on, we will walk about 1 km from the east exit to the west exit of Onigajo. The current time is 13:11. How many minutes will it take?
From here on, it will be a video of walking around Onigajo. This is a long video, so please feel free to skip along. The weather was nice and sunny ♪ A rock that looked like a demon’s face suddenly appeared. It is dangerous, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes such as sneakers.
When you go through the hole. . . The Pacific Ocean is wide and exhilarating. Oh! This is a rock surface that I have never seen before! This is a large cave formed by sea erosion of pseudograystone.
Senjojiki is divided into upper and lower levels, approximately 15 meters high and approximately 1,500 square meters in area. It really feels like a demon lives there. It’s a nice view. The road is getting narrower, so I clip my GoPro to my backpack and walk so I can have both hands free.
I’m sorry that it’s hard to see because I took the picture without checking the angle of view…🙇Be careful when passing people. There are stairs here, so it’s easy to walk. I found Tabidora-No1(Mr.1). There is a dangerous road ahead.
Onigajo is a large tuff cliff that was raised by sea breeze erosion and several large earthquakes, and is a scenic spot known for its strange rock formations, with numerous caves of various sizes lined up in a stairway over a 1km stretch.
Tabidora-No2 (Ms.2) still has plenty of time to walk and enjoy the scenery. Sorry that only the stairs are visible. I’m often impressed by how well they built these stairs. The sea is beautiful! This is a place called Sarugomori. It is a cliff that is over 100 meters long and several dozen meters high.
Even monkeys will want to return to this cliff. Proceed as if you were a ninja. It’s fun♪ It’s dangerous to walk here in high heels. ReZARD knit boots are the best! The road continues. I think it would be interesting to take pictures from the sea side.
I’m a little thirsty…I forgot my drink in the car. Bring a drink with you when you come here. This is a place called Inumomori. This road collapsed during Typhoon No. 18 in 2009 and was closed to traffic until 2012. This is where the cement part collapsed. A narrow road with steep cliffs continues.
Proceed slowly, checking your step. I’m going to take a short break. The forecast was for it to be cold that day, so I wore warm clothes, but it was a failure. It’s too hot (we recommend coming in clothes that can regulate your body temperature). Let’s distract ourselves by looking at the scenery.
The horizon is round! There is something that looks like a bird on the rock. Is it a bird? Kagura Rock. It’s a bird! But it doesn’t move at all. Is it real? It’s easy to climb up here with well-maintained stairs.
It is a large, rugged rock that is different from the area around Senjojiki. There is a butterfly. There’s the bird from earlier. The bokuiwa rock was moving, so it was a real bird. It’s time for another break. When you’re tired, enjoy the scenery. The rock looks like a demon’s fang. Crocodile rock.
This rock looks like a giant crocodile with a total length of about 50 meters. The demon’s lookout place. Round marks show the directions. Shichirimihama came into view, so it was almost the end. The sea sparkles and is really beautiful. There are still stairs to go up.
When there is no bridge, it is a place called Hiwatari, where people fly across. It has the atmosphere of a demon’s home. honeycomb. We’re almost at the goal! We arrived at the west exit. The current time is 13:57. It took 46 minutes, including taking breaks and taking pictures. Let’s go back!
And then, at my feet. Is it a rat? Is it a mole? It’s a mole! The mother who was nearby was also surprised. It was dangerous to be in the middle of the road, so I guided her to a safe place. Please be careful when you return home. There’s a duck.
Onigajo promenade tunnel 509m. Once you get through the tunnel, you’ll be just a few steps away from the parking lot! Here I found a guide to Kumano Kodo Matsumoto Pass. Since the detour sensor has responded, I will go to Matsumoto Pass. According to Google, Matsumoto Pass has beautiful Edo-style stone pavements.
I’m starting to look forward to it. Let’s GO! Here it is. Matsumoto Pass is a mountain pass that connects Odomari and Kimoto in Kumano City, Mie Prefecture. Beautiful cobblestone pavement remains on most of the roads, and from the pavilion you can enjoy a panoramic view of Shichirimihama Beach.
I think I can go 500m. Let’s go! This is the stone pavement of Edo. It’s very moving to be able to walk on the same path as people from the Edo period. Ms.2’s knees are starting to hurt. It’s only been about 10 minutes since I first climbed it. That’s the limit.
When you look up, you will see beautiful cobblestone pavement. I’m sorry for not being able to show everyone the beautiful view from the gazebo. If you are interested, please try climbing Matsumoto Pass. Unfortunately, I have to give up today as I have another day tomorrow. I walked slowly back to the parking lot.
Matsumoto Pass is a 4-minute walk from your current location, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from the Onigajo Center parking lot. I returned to the parking lot. I haven’t had anything to drink since Onigajo, so I’m exhausted. Stay hydrated. The juice I put in the Logos subzero pack is frozen.
It has amazing cooling power! The Jabara water was refreshing and delicious. thank you very much! Next, we will head to Shishiwao. Return to National Route 42 and drive towards Wakayama. Onigajo Tunnel 570m. Shichirimihama is beautiful. You can see Shishiwao on your left. The Shishiwa Observation Deck is on your left. Shishiwao arrives .
Shishiwao is a strange rock with a height of 25m and a circumference of approximately 210m, created by the uplift of the ground and sea erosion. Lion Rock roaring towards the Kumano Sea. It is also a great photo spot for the Kumano Fireworks Festival held every August.
Hamagahama Kaido is about 7 miles (25 km) from Kimoto where Onigajo is located to Kumano Hayatama Taisha Shrine. thank you very much! Next, we will head to the roadside station Kumano Hana no Cave. Roadside station Kumano Hana no Cave is 500 meters away.
It is easy to understand as there is a guide to the roadside station along the road. The roadside station is on your right. When you arrive, it’s a building with a nostalgic atmosphere. The pine forest is also nice ♪ It’s a calm space with wooden buildings.
The shop sold crafts and souvenirs using Nachi Kuroishi. You can sit with your dog or cat in this seat♪ Although Chubu doesn’t have a stamp book, you’ll want to stamp it. The Flower Cave is the tomb where Izanami no Mikoto was buried after giving birth to Kagutsuchinomikoto, the god of fire.
Izanami no Mikoto. Kuchiarima signpost. Hana no Kutsu Shrine Hana no Kutsu Shrine, said to be the oldest shrine in Japan, is located right next to the roadside station. The large stone next to the chozuya is said to have fallen from Iwaza, the sacred object of worship.
It is said that rubbing a sore spot and then touching this stone will heal the bad area. When you enter inside, you will see a large rock where Izanami no Mikoto is enshrined. Hananokutsu Shrine does not have a shrine building, and this large rock is said to be the object of worship.
It is said that the “Tsuna-kake Shinto ritual” is held on February 2nd and October 2nd every year, and a new rope is hung between Iwaza and the sacred tree. Beyond the torii gate are Inari Shrine and Ryujin Shrine.
I was glad to be able to visit the mausoleum of Izanami no Mikoto, who gave birth to the country and the gods. thank you very much. Head to Roadside Station Park Shichirimihama. Enter Mihama Town. The clouds are starting to shine in the sunset. Roadside Station Park Shichirimihama is 1 km away.
When you see a large pedestrian bridge on your right, there is a roadside station. There is an RV park on the right side of the parking lot. It is a spacious parking lot. Arrival In addition to souvenir shops, there are Okwara and specialty stores. These are the sightseeing spots we visited today.
Let’s put a stamp here as a commemoration. I’m going to take a little walk. Let’s cross the pedestrian bridge and go to the beach. Mihama Town is a town where you can grow mandarin oranges all year round. The sea is now in sight! Exciting♪ The Shichirimihama horizon is beautiful.
It’s nice to see the traces of construction vehicles passing by. The color of the sea here is very beautiful. What color is it? Ms.2 came close to the waves despite being warned by Mr.1. The sunset is also beautiful. thank you very much! Next is the roadside station Kihocho Sea Turtle Park.
The coastline resembles a resort. When the scenery is nice, I tend to take long pictures. Enter Kiho Town. Roadside Station Sea Turtle Park is 500 meters away. You will see a roadside station on your right. Where is the entrance? The entrance is here. A sea turtle statue will welcome you.
This is also a big road station. Arrival 1F Product Hall/Information Corner 2F Restaurant/Exhibition Corner 3F Observation Terrace Is the sea turtle statue at the entrance of the roadside station made of Nachi Kuroishi? Sea turtle petting park is free. It’s a baby sea turtle. Cute ♡ This is a big sea turtle. Swimming gracefully.
You can learn a lot about sea turtles here. Turtles other than sea turtles are also bred here. The tank is clean so you can see the turtles clearly. The most beautiful diamond tortoise in the world.
The sea turtle park’s YouTube channel also posts videos of the turtles, so you can watch the videos for comfort. The Sea Turtle Park carries out four conservation activities to protect rare sea turtles. A sea turtle looks comfortable taking a nap. Just looking at it makes me feel happy.
There are also fun events like touching sea turtles, so you can play and learn with your children. Who will win, the rabbit or the turtle ? Let’s put a stamp here as a commemoration. There were lots of cute sea turtle goods in the store. A stuffed sea turtle was also on display.
There were 3 types of stamps. thank you very much! Today’s schedule is over! We will head to Sunshine Hotel, where we will be staying today. Enter Shingu City, Wakayama Prefecture. Before checking into the hotel, I will go shopping for dinner. I will buy dinner at Aeon Shingu store.
Return to Route 42 and head to the hotel. I saw the Sunshine Hotel sign! Thank you for your hard work on your arrival ! I have finished checking in. It’s dinner. I heated it too much in the microwave and my dinner fell apart.
What I bought at the roadside station Sea Turtle Park Mr.1-san , a local sake from Kumano I bought at AEON Thank you for your hard work on the long drive! Let’s eat! I received a mandarin orange when I checked into the hotel. thank you very much!
The tuna sashimi I bought at the sea turtle park was delicious! Thank you for watching the long video to the end! Next time preview. Please come and see it if you like!
