チュニジア7泊8日女ひとり旅vlog – アフリカ旅行

Hello, I’m Chihiro. I went to Tunisia for 7 nights and 8 days, so I would like to introduce it to you. Tunisia is a country in North Africa. We departed from Tunis and traveled through Kairouan, Tozeur, Douz, Matmata, Tatooine, Djerba, and then back to Tunis.

Transfer to Charles de Gaulle Airport and head to Tunis. This time I used Air France. departure! It is a two and a half hour flight from Paris to Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. The scenery of the French countryside is spreading. In-flight meals include sandwiches and cookies. Tunisia came into view.

The buildings are uniformly white and beautiful ♪ The view from above is completely different from France. Arrival at Tunis Carthage Airport. It was cold in France, but it was hot in Tunisia, and the temperature difference was huge. First, buy a SIM card from Orange.

It takes about 10 minutes from the airport to Tunis’ Old Town using the ride-hailing app Bolt. Tunis is the capital of Tunisia. Tunis developed from the 13th century and became the capital of Tunisia. The old city medina still retains its original appearance and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Let’s start exploring the medina! The Olive Mosque was completed during the Aghlabid period in the mid-9th century. It is the second oldest mosque in Tunisia after the Grand Mosque of Kairouan. There are other mosques within the medina. The roads inside the medina are quite convoluted.

If you’re just walking around, you’ll easily get lost. There are also lots of cute cafes. I went to Ka ya fast-food, which was eaten by many people and looked delicious. You can eat shwarma here, and they will make it for you if you order.

The shwarma sauce had a good garlic flavor and was delicious. There are several spots in the medina where you can see the old town from above. The rooftop is a tile paradise! It’s beautiful with all kinds of patterns drawn on it♪ You can also see the old town of Tunis.

Next, we headed to the new town. First of all, “I♡Tunis” is a popular tourist spot. Next to it is the Tunis Cathedral. Walking east along the main street, there was a clock tower. I headed to the Bardo Museum using the ride-hailing app Bolt.

The Bardo Museum is a 10-minute drive from the center of Tunis. The building is the palace of the provincial governor who ruled Tunisia during the Ottoman Empire. Each room has a theme, and exhibits are divided by region and era. You can enjoy not only the exhibits but also the architecture of each room.

It is especially famous for its mosaics, and you can see mosaics of various sizes. Return to the center again. To France’s Super Monoprix. Food is plentiful. There are a lot of cats in the medina! Kittens are cute too. I thought the medina would be crowded at night, but most shops close around 5pm.

Although it was only a little, there were some places that were lit up. In Tunis, we stayed at “Palais Bayram”. The Palais Byrem is a former mansion and stable that has been converted into a hotel. The rooms are Arabic style and luxurious! It’s amazing from the chandelier to the ceiling.

For dinner, we went to a palace-like restaurant with a prominent stone arch. I had fish couscous. I also took a bath in a hammam. good night. This is my second day in Tunisia. On the second day, we will depart from Tunis and head to Tozeur via Kairouan. First, go to Kairouan.

The Aghlabid Reservoir was built during the Aghlabid period in the 9th century. At that time there were 14 reservoirs, although only a few remain today. Next, we went to Sidi Sahab Mausoleum. A mausoleum is a place where the spirits of the dead and ancestors are enshrined. The saint Abu Zama el-Belawy is asleep.

The ceiling, chandelier, and tiles are all beautiful, and it’s fun to look at each room. Next is the Grand Mosque. Built in 670, it is Africa’s oldest grand mosque. Kairouan is famous for its carpet production. Next, go to Gafsa. In Gafsa, we had lunch at “Restaurant Ele Errahmen Gafsa”.

Appetizers were soup and potato brick. The main dish was lamb and rice with a sweet flavor. Our last stop for the day is the desert town of Tozeur. I stayed at “Palm Beach Palace Tozeur” in Tozeur. Palm Beach Palace Tozeur is a resort hotel. The room is white and spacious.

There is a pool within the hotel. The indoor pool was warm and easy to swim in. Dinner is a buffet of Tunisian cuisine. good night. This is the third day in Tunisia. Breakfast was a buffet and the omelet was delicious. On the 3rd, we will explore the surrounding area of Tozeur. Leaving Tozeur!

Our first destination was Sidi Bouhlel. Sidi Bouhlel is located in the Dghoumès National Park. At the top of the mountain is a pure white mosque. Sidi Bouhrel is a filming location for Star Wars: Episode IV. It was used in scenes such as when Luke meets Obi Wan Kenobi. I’m back in Tozeur.

I went to “Restaurant Soleil” for lunch. This is a Tunisian restaurant. The soup is a Tunisian soup with lots of spices. Lamb couscous is delicious with soft lamb and lots of spices! Dessert is melon and apple. Proceed through the rocky mountains to your next destination. Arrive at Tamerza Valley.

The Tamerza Valley was once an ocean floor, but it rose and folded to form a mountain. There are several oases in Tamerza Valley. Arrive at Tamerza waterfall. The scarf fluttering in the wind is beautiful. I thought it would be quite large since it is called a waterfall, but it is actually smaller.

What’s amazing is that there is so much water in this barren land. There was a spectacular view of the mountains on both sides of the river. Next we went to Mountain Oasis Shebika. The village was washed away by a flood in 1969 and no one lives there now.

There is a hiking course where you can walk and enjoy the scenery. There is an oasis between the rocky mountains. A beautiful river is flowing. Oases are precious sources of water. It felt like exploring a different world and it was fun. Next, we move on to the desert. Arrived at Ong El Jumel.

Ong El Jumel means “camel’s neck”. It is named after a large rock shaped like a camel. This rock can be climbed. From the top of the rock, we could see the surrounding valley. We will continue through the desert again. Our final destination today is Mos Espa.

Mos Espa is a Star Wars filming location. It is one of the spaceport cities on the desert planet Tatooine. Used in Star Wars episodes 1 and 2. Mos Espa was even more beautiful as it was illuminated by the setting sun. Then we will depart from Mos Espa. Return to Tozeur.

I’m back at the hotel. Dinner was a buffet and the spring rolls were delicious. good night. This is the 4th day in Tunisia. Breakfast is omelet and yo-yo. Departing from the hotel where we stayed for 2 nights! On the fourth day, depart from Tozeur and head to a camp in the Sahara desert.

Tozeur is characterized by its adobe houses. The first place we went to was Chott El Jerid. Chott el Jerid is the largest salt lake in North Africa. There are also red lakes among the salt lakes. Depart from the salt flats and head to Douz. Douz is the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

For lunch, we went to Restaurant Dyar Zmen. I had the tuna pizza here. Douz offers a variety of desert activities. First of all, it’s a four-wheeled buggy. Drive a four-wheel buggy and drive through the desert. Next is a camel ride. Camels have charming faces and are cute!

You’ll be able to see the desert from a different perspective since you’ll be able to see it higher. Take a break while looking at the desert with the camels. It was fun to experience the extraordinary feeling. Departing from Douz, we head to our camp in Jubiru National Park.

It takes 3 hours to reach the campsite by 4WD vehicle. It goes over desert mountains, so there are quite a lot of ups and downs. After a 3 hour drive, we arrived at Camp Mars. Campsites appear in places where there is nothing but desert. There are several tents lined up at the camp.

The interior of the tent has a Berber style interior. It is 35㎡ and includes a sofa and a small table. There are washrooms, toilets, and a bathing area next door. At dusk, the entire campsite is illuminated by the setting sun. Dinner will be served at the restaurant.

The appetizer was tuna, olives, and harissa paste. The soup is a Tunisian soup with spices such as harissa. The salad dressing is so delicious! The lamb was soft and chewy. Dessert is melon. At night, the sky was filled with stars. good night. This is the 5th day in Tunisia.

The campsite is getting brighter. The campsite is surrounded by desert mountains, so the sun rises after light. I’m off to breakfast. For breakfast, I ate Western food such as bread and boiled eggs. At Camp Mars, I had an interesting experience that I couldn’t find anywhere else.

On the 5th day, we will leave the campsite and head to Matmata. We also go through the desert. After a 3 hour desert drive, we arrived in Douz. Further, we will proceed to the west. On the way, I stopped at Cafe Portail Sahara. Cafe Portail Sahara has a rooftop.

There is a donkey in the wilderness. This village is Tammouzle, home to 500 Berbers. Arrived at Matmata. First, go to Hotel Sidi Idriss. Matmata is dotted with underground Berber cave dwellings. Sidi Doris is a cave hotel. It is also known as a filming location for Star Wars.

It is commonly known as “Star Wars Bar”, which was used in Star Wars. This is the Lars family home where Luke Skywalker spent his childhood. City Doris also has a restaurant. I ate chicken and rice. Dessert is watermelon. The hole can also be seen from above. There are also camels at the entrance.

Matmata is a small town with a population of about 4000 people. Cute cat ♡ There are several mosques in the town of Matmata. Except for the center, Matmata is only natural. Since it is a desert area, the scenery is desolate. Red mountains continue all the way to the back.

The area is dotted with Berber dwellings. Some of the houses can be entered and viewed. Once you enter, a Berber person will show you around each room. The dining room is small and cute ♡ In the kitchen, there are various pots lined up. There were also cute cats here.

It was interesting to get a glimpse of Berber life. In Matmata, we stayed at Diar Matmata. Diar Matmata is a cave hotel. All beds are in holes. I couldn’t connect to the internet in my room, probably because I was completely surrounded. There is also a pool outside. The sun is setting.

The full moon floating above Matmata was beautiful. The appetizer for dinner was brick and potato salad. The main dish was chicken, tomato spaghetti, and fries. Dessert is melon and watermelon. good night. This is the 6th day in Tunisia. A simple breakfast of bread, cake, cookies, and yogurt. Leaving the hotel!

The village is sandwiched between mountains, and it’s amazing that there is a village in such a place! This time we will go down to the village. Arrived at Ksar Hadada. Ksar Hadada is located in Tataouine province. Ksar Hadada is a Star Wars filming location. Here you will find the traditional Berber ksar.

Ksar was used as a house and a granary. Ksar, painted orange, is a Star Wars filming location. This place was used as a slave settlement area on the outskirts of Mos Espa in Episode 1. There is also a hotel where you can stay inside Ksar.

There are several room types, each with a toilet and shower. It looks like a cave inside. From the top floor, you could see Ksar Hadada from above. Arrival at Ksar Ouled Sultan. Ksar Oured Sultan is a 30-minute drive from Tataouine. It was used by the Berbers as a residence and grain warehouse.

It was built on top of a hill to escape attacks. Next, we will head north. Arrive at Sebuket El Mera. Sevket El Mera is a salt lake in southeastern Tunisia. The white scenery stretches all the way to the horizon and is beautiful. Pass through the sea to the island of Djerba.

Arrival at Djerba Island. This is Ume Suk in the northern part of Djerba Island. First, we had lunch at Restaurant Malouf. The dish I ate was Rouz Jerbi (Jerbi rice). It was delicious with spices like paprika, mint, and coriander. There is a market called Houm Souk in Ume Suk.

The buildings of Ume Suku are unified in blue and white and are beautiful. There were lots of shops and restaurants. There are lots of shops and it’s fun to walk around. Leave town and head to the hotel. I stayed at TUI Magic Life Penelope Beach on Djerba Island.

This is an all-inclusive resort hotel. The room we stayed in was a double room. It has a refreshing atmosphere, decorated with pictures of blue butterflies. It also has a balcony. There are 4 types of pools in total. There is also a beach on site. There are many activities available on the beach.

Then let’s leave the hotel! On the seventh day, depart from Djerba and return to Tunis. There are two ways to get to Djerba Island. To go there, we crossed the bridge from the east side, and on the way back, we took the ferry from the west side. WE♡DJERBA sign at the ferry terminal!

Let’s start boarding! Onions and goats are also piled up. Boarding time is 20 minutes. When we arrived at Jorf, people and cars started getting off all at once. Off to Tunis! On the way back to Tunis, I stopped at a parking area. Lunch is a Plan B four cheese sandwich.

Continue north on the highway. I’m back in Tunis. Go to Panorama Cafe in the medina. Panorama Cafe is a cafe surrounded by tiles. There is a popular spot where you can see the Olive Mosque from inside the arch. I drank lemonade here. Next is a shop tour in the medina.

They have a wide variety of leather products and all of them are cute. Since olives are also famous, there are many products made from olive wood. Go to a perfume shop. After trying out various scents, I purchased a scent called J’adote.

Go to the spice shop on the east side of the Olive Mosque. I wanted to try different things, so I bought a set of 5. The closest supermarket to the medina is Magasin Général, near the Porte de France. Magasin Général is a local supermarket that sells food and daily necessities.

Here we bought souvenir sweets, harissa, conditioner, black tea, and argan oil. After shopping, I will head to the hotel. In Tunis, we stayed at Dar El Jeld. The interiors throughout the hotel are stylish. It looks like an Arab palace! The courtyard is full of greenery and fish.

We had a delicious breakfast overlooking the Tunis medina. After breakfast, stroll around the medina. First, we went to the Tomb of Bey (Tourbet el Bey).

Bey was the king of Tunisia during the Ottoman Empire. Although it was called a tomb, it didn’t look dark, and the Islamic architecture was beautiful. Old Islamic schools have beautiful black and white striped arches. Return to Dar el Jerd and head to the hammam and spa.

We entered the hammam and had a scrubbing and gommage. Take Bolt (ride-hailing app) to Sidi Bou Said. Sidi Bou Said is a 40-minute drive from Tunis. Sidi Bou Said is located on a hill on a promontory facing the southern Mediterranean Sea. It is a beautiful town unified by white and blue buildings.

Tunisia is close to Europe and has been influenced by many different cultures, so its buildings are a fusion of Arab and Andalusian architectural styles. Sidi Bou Said faces the Mediterranean Sea, so you can see the sea. Café Sidi Chabaan is a popular spot where you can see the blue parasols and white domes.

Beautiful blue sea and sky! Tunisian Door in Sidi Bou Said is, of course, a lot of blue. There were also many shops. There are also houses in Sidi Bou Said that you can tour. Here you can see life in Sidi Bou Said from the 18th to the 20th century.

The mansion has been built over and over again, so there are rooms in various locations. Each room has a different purpose and is furnished with furniture, making it a sight to behold. The kitchen is bright and equipped with a tagine pot.

You can enjoy a panoramic view of Sidi Bou Said town from the rooftop. I was able to see the Tunisian-style rooms and the view from above, so I was very satisfied. Finally, we headed to the stylish cafe “Ben Rahim”. I had a cafe latte here.

You can enjoy tea while looking out at the plaza from the terrace seats. Bolt back to Tunis. I went to a mall called Central park in the new town. The goal is Monoprix in the basement. Monoprix is a French supermarket, but they also sell a lot of Tunisian products.

Tunisia is famous for its olive oil, and there are many types of it. I bought two types of olive oil. There are both Tunisian and imported hair care products, and the Tunisian products were definitely cheaper. I bought 3 conditioners. Return to the hotel, pick up your luggage and head to the airport.

Arrival at Tunis-Carthage International Airport. Leave your luggage and head to the duty free area. There are shops and cafes in the duty free area. For some reason I can only use euros. My favorite store is Maison de Senteurs. Maison de Senteurs is a fragrance shop. Soaps, perfumes, and room fragrances are lined up.

I bought several types of scented candles and scents. Adding a few drops of aroma oil on a plate will spread the scent throughout the room. You could buy the scent for 2-3 euros. There is a lounge at Tunis Carthage International Airport that you can access with Priority Pass.

There are sofa seats and counter seats, and it gets quite crowded. Food and drinks are available in the lounge. They also have small pizzas, quiches, and sandwiches. It was great that each meal was small and I could enjoy a variety of flavors. The sunset was beautiful♪

By the time we took off, it had turned into a night scene. Departing from Tunisia where I spent 8 days! Just like when I went there, I had a sandwich and a cookie. Tunisia is a Muslim country with many different cultures,

But the buildings and food were completely different from neighboring countries, which was interesting. Each town has a different atmosphere, and in the southern part, you can enjoy the desert and other great nature. The colors and carvings of Islamic architecture were truly beautiful. The Tunisian people were all very kind.

It was a very satisfying 7 nights and 8 days trip to Tunisia. This concludes today’s video. Thank you for watching until the end.
