8/8 Das MDK Projekt.: 2 Tagestour . Von Forchheim nach Bamberg . Mit Regnitz und Main
I’m with Jürgen at the Forchheim barrage. Go on a 2 day paddling tour. First the Main-Danube Canal. Then we’ll change to Regnitz. Then at the end into the Main. Today we drive just before Bamberg. We actually wanted to go to the campsite. They are so rich. They are not interested in one-day guests.
We have to camp wild there. In the water. And let’s go. Let’s see if we meet a ship today. There is an oxbow there. There are Canada geese in there. The thing is probably left over from construction. There’s a chick swimming back there. 2 even. Yes OK . We don’t go through plowing.
It’s full of pond lilies. Let’s see if we can get through this. The voltage increases . I’m running out of momentum. You can drive in. We’ll leave that alone. It stops there. That doesn’t exactly look interesting. Now we switch from the Main Danube Canal. Down to the Regitz. It’s not that easy, because.
And then down there. Jürgen is currently doing a test. Whether it is possible to get down there. If he doesn’t do it then I don’t have a song at all. Jürgen is a climber. Now we have boated to the Regnitz. Now we have a bit of flow. And a little less wind.
There was a strong wind on the canal. Today the forecast was 41 km headwind Plus X Already a small house number. 1. View of the Regnitz. There is the next small threshold. She looks pretty good. There on the far left. I’m sitting up.
A little too far to the left and I got stuck. I already thought there would be a blockage. There is the next threshold. I would say Gerde. If I haven’t miscounted. Is this the 4th brine sleeper rocking on the Regnitz, not a Regnitz giant beaver. Totally stupid . There was a bachelor party.
The Laila was playing. Now I can’t get this song out of my head. I had suppressed it so nicely. and now the whole team is shouting Lalia. Now I only have Laila on my mind. I’m half crazy. The next brine swell rocks when it comes to brine swells. On the Regitz.
It’s a bit of a subject everywhere. and this one looks extremely wild. on the far right Sometimes wild is simply better Simply awesome Laila shitty song there I’m still going crazy. There are Egyptian geese with chicks. That’s where it’s all happening. The purest Chalens There’s another one. With a steep curve
I think the steep curve is the best. It’s hard to believe that’s the number 1, Beaver Castle on the Regitz that I see. We are no longer alone. There is another kayaker there. But hard boot farer. A really fat part comes in there.
You would have to write a sign there dangerous sides current. After we were treated to a beer, we reached our destination today. Here’s a look at the threshold we have to overcome tomorrow. the wildest of all. In comparison, the Idstein threshold on the Rhine is a piece of cake, Klaus the Reckless Captain.
Paddle backwards down Niagara Falls. In an elegance… That’s crazy. I forgot to take photos of the campsite. We stayed overnight there. Now I’m going down the Solen ramp again. This time right around. Let’s go to Bamberg. This time with a city tour. Which I couldn’t do last time. Renaturation measures. Also a renaturation.
Biber was artistically active. If that isn’t beaver art. There are also renatured areas here. The traps that have fallen dry at low water levels are . Now we’re really on the channel. stad up paddler, rower. There’s too much going on for me now. Even more, this is the purest regatta.
We actually wanted to set up our tent at the campsite for the first day. And then paddle until then. But unfortunately. Guests listed there are not welcome. There’s a big sign there. We had to do it differently. On the right you go towards the Main Danube Canal,
On the left you go into Bamberg. There is a small city park there. There is a dangerous spot here. But probably not on Sunday. This is probably a tourist heron. He’s not shy at all. Hopefully the bridge won’t fall on my head now. The bridge falls under the term collapsing new buildings.
Looks like this is going further than expected. Let’s see where this takes us. The toboggan is probably the end. You can’t go around it: Because there’s a barer area where Jürgen is, it’s probably too flat. It’s better not to go any further. It continues underground there. That’s a bit too low.
Dy, we can’t fit under it. This is the barrier to the lido. The lido is good. Doesn’t have a beach. These pine trees are rarely seen; they are otherwise only found on the Elbe. With this dangerous rope. Now I finally know what that meant. The city tour from Bamberg is a good start.
It’s just a good thing I don’t force myself through it in the rain. This is much nicer now. That’s gig fast. We paddled in our sleep. That we reached Venice so quickly. Overnight. Literally in your sleep. Reached Venice. I’m curious to see whether the guy at the lock
Is in a better mood today. Jürgen’s nose might be better than mine. That we can get through the lock. There is another side part. Let’s see how far we can get behind this. We can’t go in there. It’s a fish pass. Driving is forbidden there. We don’t want Bamberg water
The weir around days. It continues . Da Forne is the Main Danube Canal. Here I have it now. My Bamberg officially completed. Because then I drove to the weir. The last part of the tour. Now original on the Main Danube Canal Then a little bit on the Main.
Now I know what to call the tour. The 3 Rivers Tour Main Danube Canal Regitz and Maim. Here you can see the mouth of the Main. Who would have thought. That I’ll be paddling on the Main again before a year has passed. Even if it’s not far. There we have the evidence plate.
This is what the Main looks like now. We did it straight away. The lock is there. Bamberg somewhere up there in the forest. My car is parked. in the shadows Ok, hope was deceptive. It’s on the wrong side. It’s not in the shadow of the car. It’s glowing Hurray, we’ve done
The 3 waters tour. Main Danube Canal. Regitz and the Main. That may be true for Nichet. We’re barely on land. The first freighter arrives. From hanging last time it took forever. Until a fruiter overtook me from behind. I think that took 4 days. I was either on land or in the lock.
