[字幕]夏の五能線「リゾートしらかみ」で日本海を眺める絶景鉄道旅 青森→秋田
This time, we will ride the “Resort Shirakami” train, which runs along the Gono Line, which has a spectacular view. I am coming to Aomori Station, Aomori Prefecture. Get on the green “Resort Shirakami” that is parked over there and head towards Akita Station.
“Resort Shirakami” is a sightseeing train where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Sea of Japan. There are reclining seats in the car, which are quite comfortable. Ordinary cars have fairly wide seat spacing. It is also equipped with a large table, a facility that rivals express trains.
In fact, there are even tables that can be stored in the armrest. There is a sales counter inside the train, but counter sales have ended due to the coronavirus pandemic. Currently, it is being sold at this unmanned sales office. Another feature is that there are compartment seats for groups.
There is no charge for a private room, and you can use it for the normal reserved seat fee. You can enjoy the front view from the front. The train departs from Aomori Station.
The train will soon arrive at Shin-Aomori Station, a transfer station for the Tohoku Shinkansen (bound for Tokyo and Sendai) and the Hokkaido Shinkansen (bound for Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto). After leaving Shin-Aomori, I drink apple juice on the train. From Aomori Station to Kawabe Station, run on the Ou Main Line.
The train will soon arrive at Hirosaki Station. From Hirosaki Station to Kawabe Station, the direction of travel will change by just one station. From here at Kawabe Station, the direction of travel will change again. The Gono Line, which continues from Higashi-Noshiro Station, ends here at Kawabe Station.
This is the stop for “Resort Shirakami”. I’ve already arrived at Kawabe Station, but it’s a long journey from Aomori Station to Akita Station, 5 hours each way. Once you enter the Gono Line, there are many apple farms along the line. The train has arrived at Fujisaki Station. The apple farm continues as usual.
The train arrived at Itayagi Station. Mt. Iwaki can be seen on the left in the direction of travel. The train arrives at Goshogawara Station. At Goshogawara Station, you will go to “Resort Shirakami” in the opposite direction. On the other side is the Tsugaru Railway station.
This is a local railway company that also runs retro trains such as stove trains. The train will soon depart along the Sea of Japan. The train will soon arrive at Ajigasawa Station. The train arrives at Senjojiki Station.
You can stop at Senjojiki Station for about 15 minutes and take a walk around Senjojiki Station. The name Senjojiki comes from the fact that it looks like there are 1,000 tatami mats because it has been eroded by waves over many years. Oh, that’s dangerous.
After stopping for about 15 minutes, the train will depart from Senjojiki Station. The train continues to run through the spectacular scenery of the Sea of Japan. The train passes through Hiroto Station, which is famous for its location right in front of the sea. The train is running along the coastline of Fukaura.
The train arrives at Fukaura Station. At this point, I passed “Resort Shirakami” in the opposite direction. The opposite direction is the “Aoike” formation. The train arrives at Wespa Tsubakiyama Station. The train arrives at Juniko Station. From Juniko Station onwards, the coastline becomes straight, so the track also becomes straight.
The train runs on the border between Aomori and Akita prefectures. This area has been designated as Tsugaru Quasi-National Park. I bought apple juice at the store. The train is running in Akita Prefecture. It’s getting quite dark around here. We will soon arrive at Noshiro Station. Noshiro is famous as a basketball town.
The train is running towards Higashi-Noshiro Station, the next station after Noshiro Station. Noshiro Station is located far from the Ou Main Line, so the actual gateway to Noshiro City is Higashi-Noshiro Station on the Ou Main Line. Here at Higashi-Noshiro Station, the train changes direction again.
Trains travel at high speed on the Ou Main Line. You will soon arrive at the final stop, Akita Station. The 5-hour journey went by quickly and we arrived at the final stop, Akita Station. Thank you for watching this episode.
