Autumn leaves of Kannonzakura Park Kain, Minamiaso Village, Aso District Description of Autumn leaves of Kannonzakura Park. At a farm in Minamiaso Village, there is a lone wild cherry tree called Kannonzakura, which is about 90 years old.

This area is located at the foot of the Minamiaso Somma Mountain, and is a pasture (private property) where cattle are normally grazed, and is not accessible to the general public.

The name comes from the fact that a horse-headed Kannon (Batou Kannon) is enshrined halfway up the west side of the cherry blossoms, so it has been called “Kannon Cherry blossoms” for a long time.

Usually, it is in full bloom around late March, but it may be earlier or later depending on the cold weather. This time I visited in late November, not during the cherry blossom season, but during the autumn foliage season. The purpose is to photograph the autumn leaves and Mt.Aso.

This is the “Kannon Sakura Park Lawn Square” located on a hill. In addition to the lawn, the plaza is also decorated with rocks that look like stone circles, giving it a somewhat mysterious feel. Although it is not well known, I think it is the best spot to view Mt.Aso.

It is now evening when the sun is setting. It may have been a little late for the autumn leaves, but please enjoy the autumn leaves that remain on the southern somma and Mt.Aso and Aso Valley illuminated by the setting sun.

Today, I’m at the “Kannon Sakura Park Lawn Square” in Minamiaso Village, Aso District. There is “Kannon Cherry blossoms” about 200m below here. This time, the purpose is to take a video of the few remaining autumn leaves on Mt.Aso and Sommayama.

Although it is not well known, I think this is the best spot to view Mt.Aso. This time, I visited twice in the morning and in the evening to take video. In the morning, I mainly photographed Mt.Aso, and in the afternoon, I took aerial photographs. Mt.Aso
