Hello. This is Im Si-yeonโ€™s travel cafe. This time, we prepared a small-town trip to Manjido and Gyeonwoogil in Tongyeong and various other places in Tongyeong . Should we go to Manjido first? Among the many islands in Tongyeong, I crossed the suspension bridge that connects Yeondae Island and Manjido Island and

Walked along the Gyeonwoogil in Manjido Island. I arrived at Yonsei Island and walked along the road. Yeondae Island is also a very pretty island. If you cross this suspension bridge, you will see Manjido Island right in front of you. If you walk along the deck path along the beach,

You will arrive at Manji Village. There are also boats that come directly to Manjido. It is a place where you can capture the eye-chilling blue water and wonderful seascapes at a glance. Manjido Luxury Village The Gyeonwoogil begins here. You soon reach the observatory and can see an open seascape. It was very cool.

If you walk up a short distance, you will reach Manjibong Peak, which is 99.9m high. There is a bench at the top and the space is spacious, so it’s good for resting, but there’s no view. After Manjibong, I walked along the road looking at

The open seascape in all directions, and the view from Yokji Observatory, which had a clear view of Yokji Island, was also great. When we go back down to Manji Village, we now walk along the camellia forest path. Oh, if the flowers had bloomed well,

It would have been a very nice camellia tunnel. It was a bit disappointing, but I was very happy to see the camellia flowers scattered here and there. As you can see , you have to be careful when going down , so it would be much more helpful if

You bring something like a stick . After walking along the Dongbaek Tunnel for a while, I came across an open sea. As expected , it is more refreshing when trekking while looking at the sea . The color of the sea is truly amazing, isnโ€™t it? As I walked this path,

It felt a bit like Jeju Island Olle Trail. When I arrived at Manji Village, I met someone who was enjoying makgeolli with chive pancakes, which were delicious, and I just enjoyed them. I crossed the suspension bridge again and arrived at Yeondae Island.

To take the boat, you must go out to the dock you came in and board the boat on the same island. This time, shall we take the cable car up Mt. Mireuk? The road to the top of Mireuksan Mountain is a deck road, but it is quite steep,

So it may be a bit difficult for the elderly. This is Sinseondae Observatory. There are several observatories like this. Mireuksan Mountain is a mountain on Mireukdo Island off the coast of Tongyeong. Although it is not very high at 461m, the panoramic view is excellent as there are no high peaks nearby

. Wow, you reached the summit in 15 minutes??? It is a mountain where you can see the city of Tongyeong at a glance, and the diverse scenery of the Dadohae, including Hansando Island, is very impressive. This is the summit of Mireuksan Mountain. It is 461m high.

On the other side, you can see small islands behind you. Hey, it would have been a really nice view if it had been seen really clearly, but I’m a little disappointed. The cable car may not operate depending on weather conditions , so please check in advance before taking the Tongyeong cable car

. Shall we go on a small town tour of Tongyeong, starting with the undersea tunnel under the sea connecting downtown Tongyeong and Mireukdo Island, built during the Japanese colonial era ? After exiting the undersea tunnel, a short walk takes you to the Isang Yun Memorial Hall.

This is a memorial hall honoring Isang Yoon, a world-renowned composer from Tongyeong . You can see the world of Isang Yoon’s works and relics, and be sure to listen to the commentator’s knowledgeable stories. It was very helpful. And if you walk a little further, you will come to Chungnyeolsa Temple.

It is a shrine that houses the memorial tablet and portrait of Admiral Yi Sun-sin. The shrine was built here because Admiral Yi Sun-sin established the Naval Control Center in Hansan-do, Tongyeong, and led the Battle of Hansan-do to a great victory

. There are several shrines to Admiral Yi Sun-sin on the southern coast, and Chungnyeolsa Temple in Tongyeong seems to be the largest of them. After passing through Chungnyeolsa Temple, climb up to Seopirang. Seopirang is located on the other side of Dongpirang, which is famous for its mural village .

Based on Tongyeong territory, which was the center of Tongyeong in the past, the hill to the east is Dongpirang and the hill to the west is Seopirang. That’s Gangguan. There is Dongpirang Village, which you all know well, and there is also Jungang Market, right? However, compared to Dongpirang, Seopirang is more leisurely.

And the view overlooking downtown Tongyeong is also much cooler. When going down from the top of Seopirang, there is a mural by Park Gyeong-ni on the way down the 99 steps, the most famous step in Seopirang . A short walk away is the control area. This is the exact place

Where the Samdo Sugun Tongjeyeong was located during the Joseon Dynasty . All the buildings were gone and only Sebyeong-gwan remained, but recently, with the restoration of Samdo Sugun Tongjeyeong, we were able to see the old Tongjeyeong. It is said that the name of Tongyeong was taken from Tongjeyeong.

Once you leave the control area, you can walk a short distance to the central market. There are a variety of seafood and delicious foods, including honey bread and Chungmu gimbap, so be sure to try them. If you walk a little further, you will reach Dongpirang again. Well,

There are various travel destinations in Tongyeong. It is also called a city of art because it has many relics, including the remains of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, and has produced numerous artists such as Park Gyeong-ri, Yun I-sang, and Yoo Chi- hwan. And there are many travel destinations where you can enjoy a variety of

Beautiful islands, including Hansando , Somaemuldo, Yokjido, Manjido, and Yeondo . I hope this will be helpful when planning a trip to Tongyeong . Thank you for watching until the end today.
