大回り乗車で14時間超えの旅をしてみた。

“Misato’s Journey LOG” begins. hello everyone. This is Misato. This is Tsukaguchi Station on the JR Takarazuka Line (Fukuchiyama Line). It is one station next to Amagasaki Station on the JR Kobe Line (Tokaido Main Line). Well, this time we will take a “long round ride” trip.

To put it simply, a “long round trip” means that when you board a JR train in an area called the metropolitan area, even if there are many routes from the departure station to the destination station, the fare for the shortest route is the best. It’s a game-like journey

Where you take as long a train ride as possible at a cheaper fare, taking as long a detour as possible based on the rule of calculating the distance. So, for today’s trip, we will take a long detour from Tsukaguchi Station. Please subscribe to the channel. This time,

I bought a 990 yen ticket to Nara Station, although it is a little far from Tsukaguchi Station. For long detour rides, it is okay to use a ticket for a section other than the shortest section. If you move the departure and destination stations further apart, the variations of the roundabout course will change.

This is how you enter the ticket gate. Please note that you cannot get off the train during the long-circuit ride, so you will not be able to exit the ticket gate until you reach the goal, Nara Station. Then, we will take the first local train bound for Shin-Sanda, which departs at 7:07.

A local train running in the opposite direction to Osaka. Even though it was only after 7 o’clock, the place was only crowded, with only the long seats occupied. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at Kawanishi-Ikeda Station. The up platform is now rush hour.

After waiting 7 minutes, I transferred to the Tambaji Rapid Service bound for Sasayamaguchi, which departed at 7:24. The Tambaji Rapid train going down from Takarazuka was extremely crowded due to rush hour commuting to school, but when I got to Shin-Mita, I finally found an empty seat and sat down.

Shinsanda’s detention line spreads out beyond the fog. It’s a fairly large vehicle depot. After seeing the autumn leaves of late autumn or early winter, we passed Furuichi, which is also the name of the station on the Kintetsu Railway, and arrived at the last stop of this train, Sasayamaguchi Station.

I have 22 minutes until the next train, so I pass the time by going to the ticket gate . Next is the 8:37 departure bound for Fukuchiyama. It is a two-car train operated by one man. On the way, you will pass through a small valley section of the Sasayama River.

At Shimotaki Station, the fog finally cleared and we arrived at Tanigawa Station after 17 minutes from Sasayama Exit. (Arrival at 8:54) This is a station at the end of the Osaka suburban area. Here, transfer to the Kakogawa Line. The 125 series train is famous for its service on the Obama Line.

Inside the car, there are 1 and 2 rows of convertible cross seats. I will take this train to Nishiwaki City. The train departed Tanigawa Station exactly at 9 o’clock. Broadcast: “This train is a one-man train bound for Nishiwaki City.” Near the first stop, Kugemura Station, there was a lot of steam.

I heard that the temperature rises at a pulp factory, so it may have something to do with the temperature, but I was a little surprised. This section of the Kakogawa Line has a special slow section and Nihon Heso Koen Station, so you won’t get bored.

Arrive at Nishiwakishi Station in 28 minutes from Tanigawa Station. Transfer to the train bound for Kakogawa. What’s running ahead is a surviving 103 series commuter train from the JNR era that was modified for use on local lines . The train departs from Nishiwaki City Station at 9:44.

Although the appearance may have changed, the sound of the train running on the Kakogawa Line is the same as that of the old Osaka Loop Line. Ao Station on the way is a transfer station for the third sector Hojo Railway and the Kobe Electric Railway Ao Line.

If you cross the Kakogawa River in front of Yakujin Station, you will see a train depot, which appears to have been built along the ruins of the abandoned Third Sector Miki Railway . As we got closer to Kakogawa, the number of customers increased, and we arrived at the elevated Kakogawa Station at 10:31.

By the way, if you are transferring from the Kakogawa Line at Kakogawa Station, there is an intermediate ticket gate. If you are taking a round trip, please explain this to the ticket gate staff, otherwise they may mistake you for boarding illegally. I drew a simple route map to explain it.

I made it in a hurry, so I wrote it on the back of the flyer, but please don’t worry about it💦Maneki Shokuhin, which is famous for its “Ekisoba” at Himeji Station, also has a store at Kakogawa Station. Apparently it can be used both inside and outside the ticket gate.

The next train to catch is the special rapid train bound for Yasu at 10:52. I will ride to Osaka. The 51-minute journey to Osaka is long, and the ride is fast and comfortable, so I doze off. Near Asagiri Station, you could see the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge beautifully.

Once you cross the Shimoyodogawa Bridge, you will soon arrive at Osaka Station. Now, from Tsukaguchi Station, take the Fukuchiyama Line to Tanigawa Station. From Tanigawa Station, take the Kakogawa Line to Kakogawa Station. Furthermore, you will have come from Kakogawa Station to Osaka Station on the JR Kobe Line.

Get off at Osaka Station and then take the Osaka Loop Line to Tennoji. Kansai Airport Rapid Service bound for Kansai Airport departing at 11:53. As soon as the train departed, I saw the pedestrian deck connecting JP Tower Osaka and the South Gate Building.

It just opened in November, so I’d like to go there someday. Kansai Airport Rapid Chime♪ (for stations on the way) Broadcast: “Taisho is coming soon.” “Please change trains for the subway line.” Arrived at Tennoji at 12:09. Here, I will continue to take the Osaka Loop Line, so I will change trains.

Kishuji rapid train bound for Wakayama departing at 12:15. The train stops at every station to Osaka, so the sign says “Osaka Loop Line”. When the train departs from Tennoji, the limited express Haruka arrives and the Yamatoji rapid train departs, making it very lively.

It takes 13 minutes to stop at every station until Kyobashi, then get off there and transfer to the Gakkentoshi Line (Katamachi Line). The transfer time is only 2 minutes, but the transfer stairs are at the back of the inner train, so as

Long as you’re at the back of the train, you’ll be fine. The train that arrived was the regular train bound for Shijonawate that departed at 12:30. It takes only 2 minutes to get to Shigino Station. From here, transfer to the Osaka Higashi Line. Good connection, bound for Osaka at 12:35.

The trains depart from the opposite side of the same platform, so there’s no need to panic. The Osaka Higashi Line ride time is 13 minutes. In no time, we merged with the JR Kobe Line and headed for Shin-Osaka Station. The waiting time here is 32 minutes.

I could have eaten lunch, but I bought an ekiben and boarded the next express train bound for Tsuruga at 1:20 p.m. This section is also extremely fast and the new rapid trains fly by. With multiple tracks, you can quickly overtake local trains. The scenery around Oyamazaki where it intersects with Hankyu.

It also runs through the side of Muko Town’s garage at great speed. On weekday afternoons, the seats are full and there are only a few people standing. This may be because the destination is not the Biwako Line but the Kosei Line. I found an empty seat at Kyoto Station and sat down.

The train was pretty empty, so I decided to have an ekiben lunch here. This is the “Akashi specialty winter conger eel rice” that I bought at Shin-Osaka Station earlier. The left side of the bento is conger eel rice, and the right side is conger eel chirashi sushi, so you can enjoy both ways.

The green onions cooked sukiyaki style were also delicious. The Kosei Line tends to get attention for the scenery of Lake Biwa, but the mountain range of the Hira Mountains is also worth seeing. The red leaves in late fall and early winter are beautiful. When I looked toward Lake Biwa,

I could see Mt. Ibuki on the opposite shore, the top of the mountain turned white. At 2:34 p.m., the train stops at Omi-Imazu. We stopped here for 9 minutes and separated the 8 cars behind us. I went down to the ticket gate floor and watched Thunderbird 25, the express train, pass by.

Nagahara Station is 12 minutes from Omi-Imazu. Next is Omi Shiotsu Station. This is the northernmost station in the Osaka suburbs. The Hokuriku Main Line approaches from the right car window and we arrive at Omi-Shiotsu Station. This new rapid train was the longest on this round trip,

With a ride time of 1 hour and 41 minutes. Here, to review the course from Osaka to Omi Shiotsu, you can take the Osaka Loop Line from Osaka through Nishikujo and Tennoji to Kyobashi, approximately three-quarters of the way around, and take the Gakkentoshi Line from Kyobashi to Shigino. station.

I took the Osaka Higashi Line from Shizuno to Shin-Osaka, and from Shin-Osaka I took the special rapid train to Omi Shiotsu via the Kyoto/Kosei Line. Well, the next train will also take more than an hour. Special rapid train bound for Banshu Ako.

This route does not take the Kosei Line, but rather the Maibara/Biwako Line. At 3:07 p.m., the train departed from Omi-Shiotsu Station. At this time in December, the sun seems to be setting and I feel like I want to hurry home. Broadcast: “Soon, Yogo, Yogo!”

The long shadow of Yogo Station in the afternoon gave it a real winter feel. Broadcast: “Next, Kinomoto, Kinomoto…” After this, the train will stop at stations such as Kinomoto, Takatsuki, and Kawake. This section between Tsuruga and Maibara

Will be the last remaining stronghold of the Hokuriku Main Line even after the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen Tsuruga. When I left Nagahama, I saw the Nagahama Biwako Daibutsu. This is Maibara Station. At this station, there are 8 trains connected in front. Maibara Station is a junction at JR Kyoukai Station.

There are Kodama Shinkansen stops and JR Tokai trains. After stopping for 5 minutes, the train departs from Maibara. After leaving Maibara Station, what you can see from the left train window are the 300X (JR Tokai 955 type), STAR21 (JR East 952 and 953 types), WIN350 (JR West 500 series 900 series), and

Past Shinkansen test cars. Saved. Until Maibara, the train stopped at every station, but from now on, there will be stations it passes through as a new rapid train, and the speed will increase. Arrive at Kusatsu Station in 33 minutes from Maibara. I’ll get off.

In fact, with a 3-minute call, I was scheduled to take the next train on the Kusatsu Line bound for Tsuge, but I decided to skip it in order to buy dinner at a convenience store. I spent about 30 minutes waiting , looking at the station and the freight trains

. And then it came. The train departs for Tsuge at 16:53. It was already the evening rush hour, and there were many people standing in the car. It was sunset time, and the western sky was beautiful. At first I was sitting in the auxiliary seat, but

When a seat became available at Kibu River, I moved there. As we neared Tsuge Station, there were only a few people on board, and we arrived at the final stop, Tsuge Station, at 5:42 p.m. At Tsuge Station, we waited 27 minutes for the next train.

There were a lot of ninjas (*dolls and pictures) at the station, all of them being guided to Iga-Ueno. There are not many tourists at this time, but there may be many tourists during the day. Furthermore, according to this text, it seems that station staff can only be present during the day on weekdays.

The Kiha 120 bound for Kameyama arrived, and the train I was on, bound for Kamo, departing at 18:09, also arrived. Being inside the car at this time of the evening, it felt like I was sitting in about half of the long seats.

By the way, the area between Tsuge Station and Shimagahara Station is in Mie Prefecture. I got off at Iga-Ueno Station a lot, and the train became quiet around Shimagahara Station. At Tsukigaseguchi Station, I saw a train bound for Kameyama that I passed by, and

It seemed like there were quite a few people on board. The place was empty, so I had the sandwich I bought at Kusatsu Station for dinner. It’s a long seat, but it’s ratty so that’s good, right? Thus, we arrived at Kamo Station at 19:06. Next is the 7:20pm flight to Nara.

However, this train does not go to Nara. I’ll go around a little more. It’s been over 12 hours since I went inside the ticket gate. I was starting to miss the outside world (lol) , so I took a train to Nara and arrived at Kizu Station at 7:26pm.

After a 3-minute connection, transfer to the rapid train bound for Sasayamaguchi via the Tozai Line. Even if we include this train, there are still three trains left to reach the goal. From the time we left Kizu, most of the seats were filled, and after that, more and more people started standing.

Ride for 48 minutes from Kizu and get off at Hyojo Station. Next is the Osaka Higashi Line bound for Kyuhoji at 8:31 p.m. By the way, next to the release station is Shigino Station, which I passed around noon today. 15 minutes by Osaka Higashi Line train to Kyuhoji Temple.

From Kyuhoji Temple, it’s finally time for the final runner’s section rapid train to Kamo. The only thing left to do is to rely on the rapid train in this area and take one train to Nara. The train was crowded, but I got off at Oji Station quite a bit.

The D51 you can see to the left of the train window after exiting Oji Temple is lit up. The long transfer information broadcast before arriving at Nara Station began, and we arrived at Nara Station at 9:25 p.m. , 34 minutes from Kuhoji .

12 hours and 18 minutes after leaving Tsukaguchi Station in the morning. The 580.1km journey is over. To review the trip from Omi Shiozu, take the special rapid train from Omi Shiozu to Kusatsu via Maibara. From Kusatsu to Tsuge,

Take the Kusatsu Line, from Tsuge to Kansai Main Line to Kamo, then from Kamo to Kizu, and from Kizu to Gakkentoshi Line to Chikan. From the station, take the Osaka Higashi Line to Kyuhoji Temple. From Kyuhoji Temple, I took the regional rapid train and arrived at my goal, Nara Station.

The riding distance of 580.1km is slightly shorter than the 589.5km between Tokyo and Kobe on the Tokaido Main Line. I can’t get out of the ticket gate, but I think it’s a fun day if you think of the journey as a game.

I made sure to leave some time between layovers, so I wasn’t too tired. If you like, please write your thoughts in the comment section. Thank you very much for watching until the end this time. Thank you for subscribing to our channel. I would be happy if you could rate it as well.
