Asahikawa is Hokkaido’s coldest town and only a short trip from Sapporo by train. It is famous for many things including the 2nd biggest snow festival, the Shirogane blue pond, tasty sake and of course this beautiful zoo.
So let’s find out if it’s worth visiting Asahikawa zoo and see what it is like in winter. Take it from me, it is very very very cold, but amazing!
