I traveled to Kagoshima in Kyushu, southwestern Japan. This is where you will find a delicious Tonkatsu and a great view of Sakurajima. It’s absolutely a beautiful place to visit in Japan.

I took an overnight ferry from Osaka to Kagoshima.

  1. You said you heard thunder and I was wondering if the thunder I heard was yours or mine… it was mine. Actually made the lights blink, messed up the cable box… at least not the computer! Did lose internet (this will be sent after we get it back.)

  2. Very interesting, i hope in future i can take journey like this in japan, but the problem is im a moslem, its hard to find halal food restaurant because japanese foods majority contains pork and lard 😔

  3. I just found your channel about 2 weeks ago. I love it!!!!!!!!! I have enjoyed traveling with you around Japan. I’m watching from my home in Phoenix Az USA. I’ve even got my husband watching now. Thank you for sharing your beautiful country with your viewers. (I always get hungry watching the food. )

  4. Love it Can't wait to go. Would love to see the footbath,,,

  5. I love your vids. Just sad to see performing dolphins. They are smarter than most humans.

I'm sure they are treat better than most of the population, and no medical/physical need goes unmet.

I'd rather see wild animals in the wild, but whale viewing ships are sometimes obnoxious the way the stalk the pods..

    A conundrum.

No criticism on you viding/watching/or the people who train and take care of them. It's a nice glimpse. I just don't watch performing wild animal shows anymore.

  6. Holy hell is that hotel room nice for $49 US. The carpet doesn't look like a crime scene. The cockroaches aren't tucking you in for the night.

Any place that is $49/night in the US, would make you rather sleep in your car or on a piece of cardboard in the park.

Curious, are the hotels subsidized in Japan? I know there are bougie spendy hotels in Tokyo etc, but even the small budget hotels look CLEAN and NICE

Lucky! (your vids are so much fun)

  7. Good format. Why were the stores closed? You could have given a tour of the hotel room and it's amenities. I would love to travel to Japan. I saw the yellow bus in another video. Good bus to take.

  8. Looks like an interesting place to visit. Any idea where is the nearest international Airport?

  9. Your videos and postings are always informative, straight forward and with humor 🤣. Thank you for great videos.

  10. Yet again, every time I watch one of your videos it makes me hope, one day, to have the money to travel Japan for many weeks to allow me to enjoy many of your delicacies. I guess I would have to have a translator with me for my trip as, being a Londoner, I am sure I would use up my data allowance all the time for translation :-). Great content as always. Thank you.

  11. The salt made me smile.

Great clips and good quality. Having the sounds of the city adds to the overall experience.

  12. Always carry an compact umbrella just in case. it can also be used when it's to hot to keep from get sunburn on neck.

  13. I hope you do another video on the footbath. I know it was disappointing about the rain.

  14. (Watched Sept '22) This was a nice video. The dolphins were fun! Too bad about the footbath. Enjoy your videos very much.

  18. I’ve recently come across your channel and I absolutely adore your videos! There is such a peaceful and beautiful vibe to them, it feels as if I’m also on a journey around Japan!

I’m also planning a solo trip to Kyushu next year! May I ask, which month you went to Kagoshima? I’ve always wanted to experience a summer in Japan, is it a good idea to visit Kyushu in the summer?

Thank you for your fantastic videos!! 💛

  19. Hope to be in Kagoshima in Jan..If I can figure out how to get there…hehe!….I am staying in Japan from the 5th to the 25th Jan…And hope to get to Kagoshima to see the volcano.

  20. Love the sound of cicada's…Reminds me of when me and my late partner sat in the hill top fort in Zakynthos (Greece)..And eat our packed lunch in the shade of the trees listening to the sound of the cicada's..I miss her so very much.

  22. Great video! Like a day-in-the-life of a tourist! (including disappointments and what to do about them – travel adjustments on the fly!) Very nice and very interesting! Thank you for doing your videos and sharing them with all of us. I hope to visit Japan someday, Peace and Love to all! ☮☮

  23. This video and some of your others have been a huge help for me of what I can get done in a day. Next weekend, I will fly into Fukuoka on Saturday evening. Capsule hotel for the night, wake up early and go where???? That was my plan. I will have the JR Kyushu pass for 7 days. I checked the time to Kagoshima and was like, yeah this looks nice. Let me check some Youtube, then I found you. My plan is solidified. I will hit that like and subscribe, FOR SURE!

  24. Love the city tour, walking tour, attractions tour, hotel, train and bus tours, and food tour all in one. Lets us really feel like we were there. Make more videos please, I’ve binge watched almost all already!
