The spray from the waves, the jet ski driver moving me into position, as well as composing an image handheld just adds to why I love being in the water to capture these types of photographs. This is Tyler Larronde, he was 16 years old at the time of this photo, and we ended up landing on the cover of the largest surf magazine with this image. It launched Tyler’s career in the surf industry as well as mine into the mainstream. Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity, this was a moment we both seized.”
