See what is inside #CanonExplorerOfLight @damianstroh’s gear bag!

“Being in the sports photography world, I’m a bit of an equipment aficionado. I love my Canon gear and cater it to each individual assignment. That explains why you see so much gear in the photo, as I need a lot of different camera equipment!

The emergence of mirrorless cameras is the most exciting change in the digital camera world. The Canon EOS R5 is my entry into mirrorless and it is amazing! It’s light, powerful, and the file is a treat to work with. Mirrorless is the future!

My workhorse cameras are the Canon EOS-1D X Mark III and EOS-1D X Mark II.
I use lenses ranging from 16mm to 400mm. The Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II USM is my go-to lens, but over the course of a year, I’ll have used every piece of gear in the photo!

The remainder of the items that I keep in my bags are the little things that you need on virtually every assignment; extra batteries, gaffer tape, CF cards, a lens cloth, air blower, monopod, and some rain covers. I also try to keep a cherished family photo somewhere at hand if I’m going to be out on an extended assignment.”

Ciao, Nihon.
